several things about this make me feel insane tbh like firstly mack trusting will's knowledge of his body, how he functions athletically, and how he should assimilate into something like baseball where will has experience that mack doesn't. secondly though is also this dynamic of like, handing over the reins to will because he knows that will likes getting to make decisions, likes organising a situation, having control. it's such a small thing but asking someone for their opinion when you know it'll make them feel good about themselves (when you maybe already know the answer) is such an interesting move from mack there. to me it says something about both mack and his relationship with will.
