Anyways I've been reading this book for college: Daring Greatly by Brené Brown. It's all about vulnerability, shame, connection, and courage. I figured "oh this will be things I've heard a thousand times before" and it is, but the way Brown explains it makes everything make a lot more sense.

She talks about how our culture today is so obsessed with perfection that it keeps people from even trying. "If I don't do it perfectly then it's not worth it, so why even risk it?" Unless its life threatening like, idk defusing a bomb, it's absolutely worth it to try. Be courageous, because you'll never know what you missed out on if you don't. And if you fail, then that'll help with the next time you do it. Like when I took the SAT. Even though I didn't get a high enough score for a scholarship the first time, taking it in the first place gave me the experience I needed to get the higher score when I retook it.

All this to say, I'm gonna try to be more courageous and post more. Even if no one sees it, it'll allow me be more comfortable with making mistakes and connecting. I'm not gonna get my head bitten off for just posting (hopefully lol). And even if I do, the disapproval of random people on the internet has no effect on me. I can be myself and not care what others think of me! Of course, a lot easier said than done, but hopefully posting more will allow me to make progress on that front.
