A Creamy debut for a ''new'' Tumblr blog.
So I decide to make a separate tumblr blog for drawings, just like how I've been doing things on Twitter. This blog ''zack-113-personal'' would just be for random ramblings and whatnot while ''zack113-draws'' would be focused on drawings.
Man isn't it weird that Tumblr doesn't show the date or time that a post is posted
I can't even see when my last post before I was gone was posted, so I have no clear idea of how I've been away for. But if I were to guess I'd say probably 4 or 5 years now? Crazy.
It's been a WHILE.
Finished The BOSS
So I just recorded the last episode of the BOSS and it was lovely!! Thank you all so much for working on it. The fact that so many of you came together and put THAT much work into something like that is incredible. It was so incredibly well made and you should all be proud, I know I am!! :D Some sections hit very close to home and I had to hold back tears a lot. Didnât want it turning into non stop crying at the end haha.
Itâll take a couple days before it goes up cos itâs like 2 hours long so look forward to that!
I like The Boss like a boss. XD

Major Discovery: BotWâs Adventure Log = Linkâs Diary?!
SERIOUSLY.
(Spoiler Alert)
At this point, our beloved game Breath of the Wild has been out for around half a year already. If you have played the game, you are probably very familiar with the Adventure Log feature in BotW that helps you keep track of all your missions and side quests. Or else its pretty much impossible to remember if you were catching chickens for this guy or collecting weapons to show that kid whoâs boss.
But hereâs the thing- Have you ever thought about the Adventure Logâs origin? Who or what is helping Link keep track of his missions?
If your answer is the Sheikah Slate or the âsystemâ, which is what Iâve always thought, Iâm gonna go ahead and assume you own an European/American copy of the game. Because apparently, in the Japanese version of the game, there is evidence that shows that LINK is the one who wrote the adventure log to keep track of his own journey.
âOk⌠So what?â
So Link wrote the Adventure Log. Big deal. Itâs not like this is gonna change the gameplay in any way.
âŚTrue. However, Link didnât JUST record his missions in the Adventure Log. According to the Japnese version, Link would often type up some of his own thoughts and comments on what he was doing aside from his current objectives. This could give us a deeper insight of Linkâs character.
Hereâs an example:
This is what shows up after you complete The Heroâs Sword quest. The content of the two versions are very similar, but notice the use of âčŞĺâ (myself) in pic 1. This is evidence that the adventure log is written by Link, whoâs talking about himself in first person narrative, instead of âthe systemâ. With that in mind, the Japanese version can be translated to:
(I) Finally retrieved the legendary Master Sword. (I) Donât know if itâs just an illusion, but the sword itself seems to be delighted about this.
To this moment, Princess Zelda is still inside Hyrule Castle, fighting to suppress the Calamity.
She is still holding on to the faith in me, believing that I will definitely come for herâŚ!
But with the power (that I have) now, can she really be saved (by myself)
You see what they did there?
The English version replaced every first person pronoun Link has used with âyouâ!
As someone who owns an American copy, and has never set the system language to Japanese, I was absolutely SHOCKED when I was told about this (credits at the end).
Remember how we could find diaries of NPCs all across Hyrule? Linkâs was right under our noses this whole time!
Now that you know about this, does your adventure log seem a bit different from before?
(I) finished visiting all 13 of the locations in the old pictures. I remembered everything Iâve been through together with Princess Zelda.
In those memories (of mine), Princess Zelda always strived to complete the task burdened onto herâŚ
Even if itâs just a moment sooner, (I) want to save her as quickly as possible
(I) want to see her smile again, with these eyes (of my own).
The translation on this one is just OFF. I canât believe the English version completely omitted the last part, and replaced it with some kind of mission instruction.
Link has been fighting all this time to see Princess Zeldaâs smile again with his own eyes.
 âŚ*sniff*
Not to mention those side quest logs. Once you realize that all of the entries were written by Link himself, the seemingly trivial information recorded in those suddenly opens up so many more hidden sides of Link. It basically re-introduced Link as someone with normal human emotions instead of the silent hero depicted throughout the game.
The caring Link, who was worried about a girl he only met twice for putting herself in danger:
âŚ(I) ventured inside and found part of the Royal Guardâs Series, famous among equipment collectors.
When those were shown to Parcy, the traveler at the stable, her curiosity about it seem to be provoked more than ever (by me). (I) Hope she wonât do anything recklessâŚ
The compassionate Link, who felt glad for other peoplesâ happiness:
âŚ
As a sign of appreciation for bringing the town together and as compensation for the work done (by me), a hefty amount of gems that were unearthed during the townâs construction were given by Hudson (to me).
(I) wish the couple could live happily ever after.
The reckless Link, who apparently felt thrilled when he managed to knock out some monsters with his new companion:
(I) captured the giant horse in Taobab Grasslands
So thatâs why. Itâs indeed a really big horse. It trampled whatever kind of monster in its way with ease when it galloped. That was really cool. Â
When it was brought back to Straia (by me), he was very surprised.
Link the foodie, who carefully noted down new recipes he learned along the way for future use:Â
(I) brought Kiana the goat butter and hearty blueshell snail required for cooking seafood paella. She shared some of the dish (with me) as thanks!
/////Recipe/////
The playful Link, who tried to mimic the way Gorons speak- by adding âgoronâ at the end of every sentence- after he passed the Test of Will and became one of the bros:
âŚâŚ
Ah⌠(I) kinda want to write down Kabettaâs Bro Motto, but thereâs not enough space goron?
Thatâs too bad goronâŚ
The empathetic Link, who felt nervous for the guy in this side quest, then relieved when the couple finally got together:
âŚand⌠THIS:
The last line on the left is the Japanese equivalent of What the heckâŚ
I guess the statue is a bit too weird even for our great adventurer.
Finally, we have the entry that shows up after you complete the DLC trial:
(I) finally conquered the merciless Trial of the Sword.
âŚâŚ
(I believe that) Princess Zelda would be quite happy about how much Iâve improved
As we all know, Breath of the Wild is a game that focuses a lot on the freedom given to the players. Even the main story line is broken down into the form of memories, waiting for the players to find. As the players venture on into the wild, they would eventually find the information they need to learn about this world. The amazing amount of details you can find about Hyrule and its people is an important reason why BotW is so attractive.
On the contrary, the info available about our protagonist is very limited. The only piece of description that directly describes Link is in Zeldaâs diary, where she points out that he is a very quiet person, and thatâs it for our hero.
âŚNOT!!
Link had always had the most extensive character description. Right under our noses.
Nintendo got us. They got us GOOD.
But now we know.
SIX months after the gameâs launch.
âŚBetter late than never.
End.
P.S.: Fun fact about BotW Link- he seems to like the sand seal game a lot. Of all the entires about racing minigames, the sand seal game is the only one where Link wrote â(Iâll) try to get a better score next time!â
Heâs so adorable I canât //////

Disclaimer: I did not discover this.
This discovery was made by a Chinese gamer @ĺ揧大ç˝ĺ about a week ago. To make sure that her theory is correct, she cross referenced the English version of the game, only to discover that the language is completely emotionless and robotic. Therefore, to allow more people to see who Link REALLY is, I was asked to write this post based on the Chinese article she published.

Dang, I've heard that the Japanese version has way more emotions put into it, but with my limited knowledge of Japanese, I never was able to discover all these.
Understood ? Practice dude.

Love this cuteness.
Sonic Forces, and the power of the Sonic OC
Good evening, everybody. I should actually be going to bed here, soon, but I wanted to get some thoughts out there in regards to todayâs announcement from SEGA/SonicTeam. For those who arenât aware by now, hereâs what I mean:
So, let me just get one thing out there, on the record; I am 100% down with this idea. I think itâs fine, I donât foresee this being the âseries killerâ that a lot of people seem to want to believe, I donât expect this to go down in flames and embarrass everybody on the team for conceiving the idea, or any silly thing like that.
I think itâs fine. A good idea, even.
However, Iâve been having to wade through a lot of negativity today, from a lot of jaded fans who perceive this to be the last straw, who proceeded to mock and jeer with images of Sonic OC Memes, and who even went out of their way to make rather insensitive jokes in regards to the people that would like this kinda stuff, using various examples of the extreme sides of DeviantArt as a generalized picture of what was to come, and itâs likeâŚ
I donât really understand? The deal, I mean.
It seemed kinda obvious that this game wasnât exactly being catered to my demographic (Sonic Maniaâs kind of in my metaphorical corner if weâre talking whatâs âcateringâ to me between the two, but still), and is more for the younger crowd of the fandom, I feel. The folks around my age range are kind of split on the feature, ranging from positive to downright dumbfounded that SEGA would even do this â but when I witnessed how a lot of the younger fans were reacting, ranging from excitement to ecstatic awe, I realized that this game was basically going to be super important for a lot of them. Well - even for a lot of you, whom may be a good portion of my followers.
And you know what? I remember having that one Sonic game that meant a whole lot to me, that changed my life and introduced me to tons of people I call my friends today, and was just incredibly important to me when I was far younger.
For me, it was Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Never owned a Dreamcast, I was a Nintendo kid. But during Jr. High, I got saddled with TWO Sonic games that released on Nintendo hardware for the first time in series history. SA2:B on Gamecube, and Sonic Advance on the GBA. These two games reintroduced me to a franchise that I had only witnessed from afar, via the Genesis consoles of my various cousins, and it drew me in HARD. Once they released Mega Collection with a majority of the Classic hits? I was hooked, and I was driven at that point to look into fan communities, get involved with new friends, and eventually that led to me drawing more at home, pushing to get a tablet for the PC, and now, years down the line, I think itâs safe to say that SA2 actually shaped how my online life came to be. And of course, during that time frame in my budding artistic teenage years, I had my own Sonic OC.
All of my friends did. We all would draw each otherâs characters, RP little adventures now and then, and we had stories all over the place because it just mattered that much to us. It was important. And, not surprisingly, most (if not all) of those friends of mine eventually grew up and became stellar artists, or creative writers, or some combination of the two. And even those who didnât still boast some form of creativity that basically had roots in a community that thrived for us some years ago.
And I think thatâs kind of the point Iâm trying to drive at. I donât consider this Custom tool as something to ridicule, or something worth raining on everybodyâs parade over just because youâre not into it. You donât like it, thatâs fine â this isnât me saying you have to like this new-fangled feature or anything. If you donât, thatâs cool. My request is more that you please, do not tear at someone elseâs excitement, or happiness, for a thing that affects you very little. For a lot of the younger folks, this game is huge, and the Custom creator is going to be a very big deal for them, and I guarantee that if I were back in my teenage years, and something like THIS was a feature in my copy of SA2:B? I woulda lost my god-dang mind.
Sonic Forces is gonna be important to a lotta Sonic fans. The game could be great, or it could be just okay. It could be good, or it could be bad. But, regardless of how anyone feels about it, there are going to be people who consider this game fun, and will enjoy it immensely when it finally comes out this holiday season. Whatâs the point of taking something like that away from them? Whatâs wrong with letting folks have their fun? Video games are fun, that is why they are video games.
This one is gonna matter a lot to people, and ten years down the line, there are gonna be some of those fans who will look back on some fond memories making friends, making art, making stories, and theyâre gonna thank SEGA for Sonic Forces making all of that happen.
I know thatâll happen, because it absolutely did for me.
â
Stay cool, everypeoples. Iâma try to get to work on some new posts soon. Work got incredibly busy this week.
Looking forward to seeing what else shows up for these games as time progresses!
Totally into those Nintendo Switch stuff now. Also started a comic series calledâBreath of the Zackâ on dA, check 'em out if you'd like to see a funnier version of Breath of the wild. When's Cruel Duel? I don't know. Maybe after Mania or Forces and when I'm truly back into Sonic again.
when you realize that youâve been drawing on the wrong layer for half an hour
