duverger's law! very interesting phenomenon (and very interesting that there's only one exception)

What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

time of day: morning! always love how peaceful it is and how fresh the air is, especially in winter

advice: put. your heels down. stop having them be up

other than the above advice for my job; ask if you need help. i've been learning this one but people are generally very fine with helping. need help with a door and you've got full hands? ask!! it's kinda frightening at first yeah, especially coming from a background where i was told adults don't get help. but people are pretty chill actually. heartbreaking to see a lot of my students raised with the same mindset but at least i can teach them earlier than i learned it!

hi guys! discord is doing a survey on how people would like ai to be integrated into discord. take it and say fuck no to every question. when you get to "in general, how do you feel about discord inegrating ai features?", respond that you would actively get everyone you know off of discord and wouldn't pay for nitro or other shop items if they added ai features.

My husband was so so so excited to show me that the game he was playing let him play as a fat Twi’lek because I’d shown him art I’d done of one… and then he switched over to the female models, and there was nary a fat woman to be seen in any of the species.

the swtor community (referring to tumblr here as that’s my framework) has always been a labor of love by fans, for fans. i had no interest in posting on or even making a tumblr, but this silly game took me for a whirl and i have made the most incredible lifelong friends out of it (still am!)

you don’t need to give EA your money to still enjoy the community and the world. support your local swtor artists, authors, editors, creatives! comm them if you have the means to! put that sub money somewhere that can help your digital neighbors!

Very confusing as to seeing little to no reaction from swtor players regarding the EA buy-out. The ones that do mention it don't seem to care at all about the politics behind the new owners and the effect their money will have on REAL LIVE people. Their moral in general seems.. typically star wars fanboys tbh.

I'm personally not sure what to do. Might let my subscription run out.

Swtor means so much to me - my personal 10th anniversary is just around the corner - but fanart and fanfiction will never die.

Fuck EA. Fuck the saudis.

And fuck the patriarchy.
