today has been a good day! 🌻🐣 spent hours on research for essay proposals but had a balanced amount of breaks in between :D

tonight I'm staying up late to catch up on work since school starts tomorrow!

a relaxing day today, spent time going out with friends and my sister and watched movie with my family at night :D Today's productivity was doing some admin tasks for a group project!

Giorgio de Chirico (10 July 1888 – 20 November 1978) 

An Italian artist and writer born in Greece. In the years before World War I, he founded the scuola metafisica art movement, which profoundly influenced the Surrealists. After 1919, he became a critic of modern art, studied traditional painting techniques, and worked in a neoclassical or neo-Baroque style, while frequently revisiting the metaphysical themes of his earlier work.

Scuola Metafisica is otherwise known as Metaphysical painting, which is characterised by their 

Dream-like landscapes 

Mysterious and sometimes threatening atmosphere

Utilisation of representational, yet incongruous imagery that often juxtapose against each other

clouds at night at 3am right now. I never knew they were so visible? The city lights at night make it seem like the sun is still there and orange at the end which is quite funny!

I didn’t manage to focus and get much work done today.. although I’m definitely feeling less anxious even with more deadlines piling up. Still, I want to be more disciplined! I’ve lost a lot of my ability to focus and the will to keep working towards something in the past, but I want to stop staying in disappointment and start working towards building them back up again! So my aim is to focus for 6 hours tomorrow! 😤🌻

a pretty chill day, with some productivity 🌻 I know my progress isn’t going quite as fast as it should be. But I’m learning to just trust in the process and live each day with a learning attitude and fascination with whatever work I’m placed in 🌼

The rush may come later, but I’ll trust in what is built up through the journey!

finally started working towards an idea for an artwork I've been procrastinating for weeks!

Day 2/30

got out of bed late again today after much wasted time on the phone, but managed to do some work at least even after feeling a lack of motivation starting to settle in (yay!)

submitted a draft for a logo design 

started a tinny bit of research on 2 essays (basically just touched it for 10 minutes)

working on base sketches for a new artwork idea

Day 1/30

I'm trying to get out of an unhealthy cycle of not doing any work and then feeling too overwhelmed from the built-up task pile to do any work! Though I didn't get much major progress done in my projects, I’m going to try celebrating the small accomplishments I’ve been able to do :D

Actually woke up before noon today during the holidays

met up with 2 mentors with my sister 

did work at the library for an hour! 

sent an email I’ve been procrastinating to write for days 

explored some ways to use Adobe Illustrator!

while brainstorming ideas and texting my teammate,, the draft is due tmr i just started today
