“In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”
The first moments of our day are precious. Before the noise, responsibilities, and distractions begin, we have the opportunity to turn our hearts toward God and offer Him everything we are about to experience.
A morning prayer routine does not need to be long or complicated. What matters most is beginning the day with love, gratitude, and trust in the Lord.
✧ Ⅰ. Begin with the Sign of the Cross ✧
Start your morning by placing yourself in God’s presence.
Make the Sign of the Cross and remember:
✦ This day is a gift from Him.
✦ Everything I do today can become an offering of love.
✧ Ⅱ. Offer Your Day to God ✧
Before anything else, give your day to the Lord.
Offer Him your work, studies, conversations, difficulties, joys, and desires.
My God, I offer You this day.
May everything I do be for Your glory and according to Your will.
Guide my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Amen.
✧ Ⅲ. Spend Time with Scripture ✧
Open the Word of God and allow Him to speak to your heart.
✦ Read the Gospel of the day
✦ Reflect on a verse that speaks to you
✧ Ⅳ. Pray with Our Lady ✧
Ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to accompany you throughout the day.
Mary always leads us closer to her Son.
“Do whatever He tells you.”
✧ Ⅴ. Ask for the Intercession of the Saints and Angels ✧
Remember that you never walk alone.
Ask your guardian angel and the saints to pray for you and help you pursue holiness.
Holy Guardian Angel, watch over me today.
Protect me from evil and guide me always closer to God. Amen.
✧ Ⅵ. Choose a Virtue for the Day ✧
Holiness is built through small daily choices.
Choose one virtue to practice:
Ask God for the grace to live that virtue throughout your day.
Some mornings will be peaceful. Others will be rushed. Some days you will pray for a long time; other days, only a short prayer will be possible.
Begin again every morning, trusting in His mercy.
Lord, thank You for the gift of a new day.
May I see Your presence in every moment, love You in every person I meet, and offer all my actions for Your glory.
Mary, my Mother, walk with me today and lead me closer to Jesus. Amen.
