Her father is religious, while her mother is not (surprisingly). They never argued about where Amy should go to school. That’s how she ended up attending a Christian school with Christina later on. (Although Amy isn't particularly religious herself, she sometimes talks about God when she wants to come across as a "good girl." But tbh she doesn't gaf about God stuff.)

Throughout her teenage years, she only dated boys. She never stopped to ask whether she actually liked them or just liked the idea of being a popular teen girl with a boyfriend. As she grew into a young adult, she began to realize that something felt off. She’d tell everyone, “I’m not gay, duh. How could I be? I’ve had so many boyfriends.” But whenever she imagined herself as a tradwife or a mother it's just never felt right...? The first time she had sex, her thought was almost comical: “Yep. I might be gay.”
