Another reason I'm looking forward to P4Revival is that this could be Atlus' chance to redeem Teddie/Kuma for a good majority of the Western fanbase.
I've been reading some essays about Teddie, and it explained that the reason he has such a bum rap here in the states is that his localization was badly-handled. He was meant to be pretty innocent in the original Japanese, and the English dub made him into more of an obnoxious perv.
Considering how today's dubs, P3R included, are all about being as faithful to the original Japanese track as possible, it's not unreasonable to assume that Teddie's characterization in Revival will be more in line with the JP dub. Thus, the chance for his redemption.
I mean, that's what you all want for the bear, right?

Tried out the JP voice cast for P4G recently and it actually did so much of a difference for Teddie. Like, with the eng voice he really does sound like an adult man, which makes it easier to think of him as just that (though he obviously isn't) while with the jp voice he sound a lot more like a child, which is closer to how he is meant to be viewed. Just that small change made him go from disliked to neutral
Also, there have been multiple times when playing both P3P and P4G where I feel like the localized version of the characters come across as worse than they actually are
brother you talk about how much you hate that people are obsessed with souyo but you're also obsessed with one entire aspect of the game too (teddie) like yeah you don't have to shop souyo but posting about how much you just HAAATE a ship isn't going to change anything. generally you are about as annoying as that ugly ass bear. another thing don't fucking talk about??? gooning to the child cast you fucking weirdo nobody cares if you wanna fuck the beat (who's a teen amongst teens?
