#fun story time // long tags ahead #so I went to uni (first time) when I was 19 and I made some friends who were also into anime etc #we get to talk about fandoms and whatnot as nerds with similar interests usually happen to do as small talk #we get to the topic of naruto - SIKE we all love naruto yay #at which point I share that I wrote a fanfic with a decent following (I was being humble I was at the TOP of the popularity page for months #(it was also cringy and OOC as fuck but no one cared back in the day; all they wanted was the lemon)#and friends go “..........hang on a sec did you write THIS FIC??” *proceed to show me my own fic*#when I tell you #I wanted to dig a hole in the ground and DIE IN IT #friends were acting like they'd just met dolly parton or smth #I was FLOORED and also very humbled by the amount of love they had for my fic ;_;#which I had written 4 years prior BTW #ALL THIS TO SAY THE WORLD IS A FUCKING SMALL PLACE WHEN YOU WRITE GAY P0RN #now I get to gush over my favourite authors in their DMs instead <3
