Review #5, Olsztyn's very own "number is off or busy" message number, a.k.a. Nagórki district PD.

Picture this, I was walking down the street, like people do and I happened to spot a card sitting in (more like on) a bush.

First thing that comes to mind, I look up the nearest PD's number (because apparently 997 is no longer the non-emergency number, #makelifeharder), of course logically since the area code for Olsztyn is 89, the PD's number starts with 47.

And anyways I tried to call them 2 times. Both times got the extended ringing signal followed by "number is busy or off" message (instead of the usual busy tone, so probably the phone is ..... off). How do you even switch off a landline without anyone on-site noticing?

Review #4: (PKP) IC5710 Toilet Nightmare.

So I'm on a train back to civilization, right? And the one time I didn't bring a tissue box with me this shit happens. Toilets in my cart - one missing paper, one out of order.

Nice, I go to another one (all 2nd class), one - door won't open, the other out of order (what).

I go to the other nearby cart, and the bourge section finally had a seemingly working toilet. Whatever, a toilet is a toilet and thus should be accessible by everyone with a valid ticket. The space itself, nice, modern, spacious even, clearly designed with wheelchair access in mind. Only issue, pressing the flush button does NOTHING aside from turning on a few LED's.

Holy fuck, does noone deserve a working toilet while traveling on the daytime-hours train? Forgo the useless wifi and stock the toilets with paper and water pls.

Situated between the Church of Poker and Gambling and LO V in the truly magnificent Olsztyn, which I definitely can't speak badly of, is a genuine tourist attraction of a sidewalk. Truly a revolutionary idea. Built at an unknown date, then rebuilt around the time they installed tram tracks for lines 4 and 5, it has served the local community for years.

The view from it is truly awe inspiring, looking towards LO V you can spot the "hipermarket" (imagine it as just a shopping mall with one giant shop and a few smaller ones in one building), the liceum and the co-financed with government funds info board

Turn your head to the left and you'll get an unobstructed view of a nice chunk of land devoid of human intervention, if we ignore the newer apartment buildings and pylons serving who knows what, for which the nearby land has been cleared of trees.

Turn your head another 90 degrees, and you'll see the other side of the city, the Church of "Not our land, but the fence was ours" standing out prominently and more importantly giving you phone signal, among the few buildings that are visible the preschool stands out by being the nearest to this sidewalk. Finally turn your head yet another 90 degrees to witness the other side of the forest and more importantly the tram tracks and roads.

10/10 If you ever plan on going here, this is the place to visit.

2:16AM, Tak i Treba by Enej blasting on headphones. Short one on a small snack today. Today's unfortunate victim is "Rose Flavoured" Pocky acquired in Carrefour in Poznań. Yes a snack from a grocery store because ... well, let's just say I have something special awaiting a review, a real classy place in the lovely city of Olsztyn, a tourist attraction or locals pride, if you will.

The portion size is small, par for the course for pocky, yet still just 31g for 6.99zł. The taste was mildly sweet with something aromatic reminiscent of strawberries, quite nice. Ate it alone while rewatching Happy Sugar Life (highly recommended btw. tho if you simp for Shio, straight to jail.) The aftertaste is still here at 2:50.

Review #1: Fish and Chips from North Fish in Posnania mall in Poznań. Price: 38zł, not an ad, paid by myself from my 🎱emporium atm card (jk, debit card from a real bank, can't show as my bank app doesn't allow screenshots)

Writing all of this from memory, it's been a few days, sorry.

Literally fried breaded fish with a side of fry-like potato chunks cut out lenghtwise with a C-shaped tool, fried and lightly salted (unless I'm imagining the salt, doesn't matter there's salt packets at the counter you can just grab), with a small plastic container of tartar sauce (see top right of the photo).

The portion size was generous enough that my stretched stommach felt satisfied enough, the taste was about what i expected, tartar sauce really worked with those chips, my only real complaint is that I wanted to get this to-go but got it on the on-premises dining box (won't deduct points because my akward phrasing may have been difficult to understand). It certainly felt refreshing to eat some fish after a few weeks of other meat.
