Tea and Stuff | Kaius and Eira
She shook her head gently, âNo. I like you for more than your books⊠I mean- I, um. Youâre really nice and h-â she stopped herself from rambling on nervously. She took a breath and continued on, âNo, I still do. It just he seems less like a person now. You know.â She shrugged as she took a sip of her tea.
âPerhaps it is best that I forget about him.â She sighed, âbut he is my only familyâŠâ She realized how stupid that sounded, it was stupid to her. He was a horrible father who sent her away but he was still her blood. âI know it sounds stupid but up until this point I was alone and he was a sort of hopeâŠBut now I have you⊠I mean youâre my friend, right?â
Kaius never meant it more than a joke so he didnât really take her response any more than that. Try at least. It somehow made him smile for a second. He nodded in response to Anders, heâs like a figure right now, who knows how he might shift the world again.Â
His face dusted pink when she pointed it to him, a little strange, she wouldâve made more friends than he could and it was.. humbling, to somehow be seen as a shift in her hopes compared to her father. Friend huh? Maybe itâll be nice to talk to people who werenât just there to get treated by him. He slapped a grin on, âOf course I am.. I mean, why wonât I be? Blood... is always thicker water but it doesnât mean that itâll be above water.â
