Vampires loving cuddles is not just a “human warm” thing. It also ties into bat behavior. Since bats are often swaddled in blankets when they are being cared for, that snug, wrapped-up feeling can translate really well into vampire instincts. For a vampire, being bundled up, held close, and warmed by their human would feel deeply comforting. It hits that same soft, secure place in their brain that being wrapped does for a bat. So cuddling is not only about affection, it is also about rest, safety, and that heavy, sleepy comfort of being tucked in and looked after.

like I was playing DnD and remembered balloon goons from the books because the DM saying "goons". I don't know anyone else who remembers reading the books but god damn it they were funny as hell and fun to read!
