Also are we going to gloss over Patton calling Janus his bestie? Like yes, its cute and charming but think of the implications. How bad are his relationships right now that he considers the guy who claims he mistook him for a trash can his bestie? Especially since Virgil was his bestie for so long??? Sir are you doing good????/

not only that, but another hint at his current mental state was when he seemed really hesitant when Nico was brought up, likely due to the backlash hes received from the sides in the past few episodes where he’s shown up at all— such as Virgil in the end card making a snarky remark about “giving thomas permission to feel”, and still feeling guilty about Moving On (still!!!! you can still see how that episode has had lasting effects on him) but also Selfishness v Selflessness and he simply hasn’t been able to catch a break since then, partly due to the other sides not really being willing to hear him out, partly due to the writers putting him on the back-burner to let the Dark Sides have their moments. If Thomas and the Crew ever decide to write an episode relating to him (which they rlly should imo) I think a really interesting character arc is right around the corner for him, he really does have so much depth as a character that gets overlooked both in canon and as a fandom
