he’s already come out to his brother & his mum, even if it wasn’t in so many words. the only people left for him are his friends. he’s surrounded by safe people, his sister, his three childhood friends, nancy & steve, who know about Robin and she deemed them safe.

it’s not like will is standing in front of the school and announcing he’s gay. not only is he being fully supported, his coming out is needed to provide safety for him later on. he’s being tormented by vecna and he’s making sure vecna can’t use this to get into his head.
