Oh, oh. Be still, my hangover. Prasino is my new favorite brunch spot (the amazing patio doesn't hurt), and once I go and have dinner there it will probably also be my new favorite dinner spot.

These are among the top cheese curds I have had in my life. They are magical. Cheese curds cheese curds cheese curds. 

This picture is ugly because I forgot about taking it and basically just stuck my face in this dish. It made me think that maybe I like moussaka more than lasagna, which would just be mindblowing if true (jury still out). 

Oh! What an adorable restaurant run by wonderful, gracious people who took in three hungry people right before closing time and fed us delicious thing. This was perfectly cooked halibut, a delectable cream sauce, and the best potatoes au gratin I've ever had.

Brendan Sodikoff really knows how to make vegetables delish just by themselves. I could have eaten just a giant plate of these green beans and loved it.

What I love most about Gilt Bar, aside from, you know, EVERYTHING, is how I can go billions of time and always find something new. These meatballs were fantastic. Nom nom nom.

This is sometimes called Japanese "pizza", but it's more like a giant, amazing, delicious pancake, filled with things and topped with things and drizzled with Kewpie mayo. I haven't had it since my last trip to Tokyo, so this was a treat!

My favorite tofu dish, and they did it well here.

Maybe this is the perfect pizza, or maybe it was the 17 different beers we tried with it that made it go from awesome to perfect. Either way... yum.

Crispy skin, tender duck meat. A perfectly poached egg. Lightly dressed frisee, flavorful bacon lardons. Be still, my heart.

This was hearty and authentic and delicious, and I wish I was eating it right now.

Fish tacos are my favorite kind of tacos, and these fish tacos could possibly be my favorite fish tacos!

There might be nothing better than a sunny Chicago Sunday, the Big Star patio, and these babies (with a side of tequila).

Best fish and chips I have ever eaten. That's not a joke or a lie. BEST!
