about the tcc recently
with all the mass shootings and even mass shooting threats lately, it’s pretty sad that we are clearly failing people who need help. although i’m not personally super involved in the tcc, i follow it heavily… in an ideal world it would be a nice and safe place to make friends and learn. but instead i’m increasingly confronted with the reality that the dark nature of the subject can often attract, well, people with dark minds who are suffering. when dangerous and intoxicating feelings aren’t faced head on and are rather spread like contagious disease amongst vulnerable people, very scary and very real things can manifest.
i don’t mean to knock them whatsoever. and i don’t want to stop anyone from being “different” because inherently, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! i’m that way myself and i think people with unique minds are essential to this world. but it’s so damn important to draw the line when need be. when it’s a potential life or death situation there is just no room for mistakes. so my hope for everyone, no matter how entranced you become in a case or specific killer, please try not to lose sight of what’s important. permanent traumas were formed, communities were torn apart, real, actual living people with lives were lost abruptly and brutally, and things were forever changed because of these events. educate, learn, care for one another and prevent at all costs.
