During the stream, I saw a flash of netherite, and I instantly thought it might’ve been Dream.

Rewatching the stream, I realized my theory was correct. For a split second you can see Dream in the corner of Tommy’s screen (as circled above). Tommy wasn’t exactly subtle, so Dream most likely saw Tommy pass through the clearing.

And guess what? Not 3 minutes later, Techno spots Dream.

Now, it’s not impossible to assume Dream saw Techno as he ran off, and it may have been the reason Dream felt the need to check by Techno’s base in the first place.

But even if Dream didn’t see either of them in the clearing, there’s no way he’s not at least suspicious that Techno is aiding Tommy after visiting his base.

Dream knows Tommy relatively well—knows his mannerisms, his staples, and can get inside his head with ease. I’m fully confident that he picked up on some of the clues Tommy left behind in Techno’s base. The signs, the tower, and the noises all could have tipped Dream off (at least enough to be skeptical).

Here were some signs I noticed:

When Dream first asked if Techno had seen Tommy, you could hear the distrust in his voice straight away.

“Have you seen him?”

“I have not seen him.”

“You sure? You mind if I look around?”

Dream was immediately suspicious and began looking around for clues. He checked outside, he checked the signs, and you even see him briefly look through Techno’s chest.

When Techno talked about the signs, and how Dream was making him feel “very judged,” Dream didn’t seem the slightest bit convinced.

“Mm.”

Dream knows Tommy, and signs like “sell foot” and “build a girlfriend” and “build assertive cobblestone tower of power” aren’t exactly in character for Technobalde.

Dream seemed to pause whenever Tommy made noise. Though it’s possible it was a coincidence, he instantly moved upstairs to Tommy’s level when the eating cue sounded. The other pause occured when Tommy coughed softly right as Dream trailed off.

(Of course, there’s also Tommy fucking with the trap door the whole time, but there were no visible or audible signs of suspicion from Dream.)

The last thing I picked up on happened right before Dream left, when he seemed to test Techno one last time.

“You know, you owe me a little bit.”

It was a clear warning that Dream expects Techno’s loyalty in return for saving his life at the execution. That test was Techno’s final chance to reveal Tommy, and when he didn’t, he affirmed his position against Dream.

Now, while it’s possible Dream didn’t pick up on all of those signs, he’s not an idiot. He followed Tommy’s trail to the spruce forest before it promptly died off. It’s logical to believe Tommy wouldn’t travel too far from there, and when there’s a giant cobblestone tower—Tommy’s staple—Dream’s bound to clock that he’s been (and still is) there.
