Shh Papys.. I know... I was gone a couple of days. itâs ok lil bro... see? I found us food.. anâ.. well.. somewhere new to live. Ok? So.. you can stop crying now..Please bro? I know.. youâre cold. itâs ok.. Iâll find you some warm clothes.
*He's not carrying the little one this time, but the little skeleton walks up to the rabbit carefully, he'd been searching all day but he finally found something for proof he had 'parents'* Uhh... Father said I had to pay you for the Nice Creams." *He holds out a handful of loose coins, hoping it would look like enough to pay for the cold treats*

âHey, tell him not to worry about it, okay? Itâs on the house âcause it made your brother cry.â Nicola smiled. âThough, I would like to have a conversation would your dad, if thatâs okay.â As a person whoâs father recently left, it was very important to him that all fathers be good ones.
âYou can keep him safe and not be too harsh with your scolding. Itâs possible.â Nicola replied, failing to notice the tenseness behind the otherâs smile. In his defense, he would never have expected to see it on the face of a child.
âYouâre really against me meeting your parents, huh?â He sighed, standing and crossing his arms. âHow about I just walk you there? Is that okay? I promise not to try and meet your parents. Is that okay?â He even offered his pinkie to the child in the hopes that heâd find the gesture familiar and relent
"Yeah." HIs voice was flat as he acknowledged the question, and the request at the same time, still he lifted a hand, small fingers wrapping around the hand rather than pinkie promising anything. "C'mon then... I.. I know a shortcut... if you hold on tight.. but.. dun try and let go till we're there.. k?" There was no way he was showing the rabbit the way to his house.. just in case... He'd rather teleport him there and back, let him see the house and hopefully feel better.
*There's a very small skeleton watching you intently, the moment you turn to serve another customer, one of those pastries has turned a light blue and is very gradually and slowly, so as to keep it quiet, heading towards the small skeleton who's eye and hand is glowing the exact same blue from just around the corner*
*Five eyes help when things like this happen, although, the girl had been turned away. A few spiders began to climb onto her hand that was placed upon the table, a few more started after the pastry. It would take a second, but Muffet would turn with a smirk.*
A magic pastry, oh goodness wouldnât that sell for a lot~ Iâm sooo glad itâs not a little thief~
He swallowed softly, letting the magic die down, the pastry falling down without the aid of the levitation magic. Not that he was upset about that⌠if it got thrown away.. it was fair game right? If it hit the ground⌠it would get thrown away. He could still get one. He just had to be more careful. He watched, waiting and hoping the spider lady would get distracted again.
Muffet said a little sorry to the customer she was with, telling the spiders to finish up the order as she moved over to the pastry that had fallen. A small smirk would come to her lips, a hand gingerly picking up the donut as she let out a giggle âFive second rule, right, my little thief?~â She then took a bite, not minding the webs that were left on it.
Five second rule? Was that even a thing? He glanced quickly over to the small bundle watching him as though this was fascinating, at least he wasn't crying. Seemed like he'd definitely been found out though. Maybe he should just... try for it... he was being depended on after all. Was there another option? He slid down further, so he was literally on the ground. Only to stand up again. No. Those spiders were watching too carefully, he could see them down there. She looked strong, so a confrontation wouldn't work. Ok... so what? Maybe he could make it move faster, maybe she wasn't that fast? Strength and speed didn't usually go hand in hand right? Yeah... He waited a little longer, until he started to hear grumbles of complaint from the small bag of bones with him, then, putting everything he had into it, he focussed on two of the smaller pastries and lifted, the strength of magic leaving a tint of a much brighter blue this time, pulling it with everything he had towards him and his little bro. Even if he had to try and teleport after they got hold of them... he'd feed him tonight. He'd just.. sleep after. no more magic after that... not until he'd rested.

âDonât scold him too harshly.â Nicola chided him softly. âHe wonât learn if you only scold. Reward good behavior too.â He smiled at the pair.
âOh, please donât say that.â A concerned look settled on the rabbitâs face again. Losing a sibling. Nicola would never be able to cope with that, and he was an adult. To hear a child say itâŚIt was too much to the rabbit monster to bear.
âCome on. Letâs get you two home.â He ran a hand through the tuft of fur on his head and tried to smile easily again. Goodness, these two seemed to cause a lot of mischief.
"I gotta keep him safe though... " Sans wasn't really smiling back, although his grin remained as ever, there was a tenseness about the eyes and the smile itself that suggested an uncomfortable feeling. "Home... yeah... you can't." He shook his head, holding his brother tightly.
"You'd only want to meet my parents... and... they aren't there right now.."

Nicola searched around before finding the younger skeleton climbing up a snow poff. He seemed to be enjoying himself and Nicola couldnât help but giggle a bit. He was sure he had gotten into similar situations as a child and caused his poor mother unnecessary amounts of grief, but it was just kind of funny when it was someone.
âSee? Heâs alright.â Nicola smiled, walking over to the younger skeleton and crouching down. âYou just wanted to go exploring, huh?â He commented, knowing he wouldnât get a response. âWell, no harm, no foul.â
"Y-yeah..." The blue glow faded as he watched his brother, the traitorous little skullhead babbling back at Nicola as he talked to him, reaching out for one of those ears again. Sans raced forwards, scooping up the tiny bag of bones, giving him a tiny shake. "I told you.. we don't grab thing that other people have..." He turned to Nicola with a grateful expression. "Thank you Sir... if he went missing... well... my life wouldn't be worth living.." He tried to pass it off as a joke, but there was a seriousness in his tone that suggested he really wasn't.
Holy monster.
HOLY?Â
mhm. Maybe I should have written it Holey? 'cos you have holes in your face.

coolestskelebro started following you Someone⌠followed me first this time? Ahh.. youâre umm⌠*he glances upwards, holding the small bundle in his jacket tightly to keep him hidden and safe* Really tall lookinââŚ
âHELLO THERE..â Papyrus gave his most friendly smile. This tiny skeleton looked a bitâŚfamiliar. Though it was hard to tell under the huge jacket. âDID YOU LOSE ANYTHING? I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS AM A MASTER AT FINDING LOST THINGS, YOU KNOW.â Well, he HOPED that was the reason the small skeleton was rummaging through Grillbyâs dumbster.Â
Wait... he'd been -actually- followed? Dammit! He held the small bundle a little tighter, staring up at the self named 'great Papyrus' "Ahh.. yeah.. uhh... umm... some kids... t-took... took my lil bro's book... " It was a moment of inspired genius! That other skeleton had told him to read to Pappys, and if there -was- a book in there well... he could claim it... right? "I think they threw it in here... 'm not a good reader.. so... dunno what it's called but it... it had a lot of pictures?"

âThatâs because heâs still very little. You donât start understanding that you canât do things until youâre like four and then, you never fully understand it.â Nicola said. He still didnât fully understand what he would and couldnât do and he was an adult.
His ears perked up when he heard the babbling and started off in that direction. âDâyou hear that? Come on. Letâs go.â He waved for the child to follow.
He didn't really understand that. if someone told him to stay still, he knew enough to stay still or that he would get in trouble. all the same though, at the other waving to him, he followed quickly, right now his brother was all that mattered. The tiny skeleton child was clambering up and down a snow pile chattering away to himself in nonsense language, sliding up and down and laughing with great glee.

âShhh. Itâs okay, itâs okay.â Nicola reached and placed a gentle hand on the otherâs shoulder. Panicking and worrying themselves sick wasnât going to find the child.
âItâs okay. Weâll find him. He couldnât have gotten far.â Nicola told him, standing up and glancing around. With all the snow, itâd probably be hard for the younger skeleton to get around, being a toddler and all. He definitely couldnât have wandered too far.
âHere. Letâs start looking at the last place you saw him, alright? Weâll find him. Donât worry.â The rabbit monster
"But... that was here.. right behind the bush." He wasn't even thinking how to explain why his little brother was behind a bush and not 'safe at home', just that his only family was currently gone and maybe in danger. He could feel his left eye hurting, the blue glow slowly taking over. "He... he doesn't understand he can't do things yet.. 'm.. 'm tryin' to teach him but..." He trailed off, hearing a soft babbling sound, the sound seeming to come from... below them? Had Pappys tried to climb one of the hills down?

âI.. I dontâ know⌠I just know.. that the best person to ask about skeletons.. is another skeleton⌠right?â He glanced down at the ground for a moment, before nodding, heâd started this, he needed to try and trust -someone-, and a stranger might be best in this case because they couldnât contact authorities so easy.. âItâs Pappys⌠he.. he wontâ stop crying⌠Iâve fed him.. Iâve let him sleep.. he wonât play⌠he just⌠I canât make him stop! How do you make them stop crying?â
âHeh.. Man I wish I had another skeleton to go to when I was your age.â Really having someone else around would have been an excellent turn of events. Man he could relate too well with Pap crying as a baby bones.
âCrying huh?⌠That was one thing I could never figure out⌠I felt bad I could never really do much but I did find out he liked me reading to him pretty well. He always seemed to like that even when he got older he couldnât sleep without a storyâŚâ
He had to make sure he didnât mention to his younger self his brotherâs name was Papyrus. Might freak the poor little guy out if he found out they were the same person.Â
He listened carefully to the other, how he found the other skeletons, he wasn't sure, he knew it was something to do with crossing dimensions but... he didnt' really understand it. "But... I don't -have- a book.." He grimaced, well, maybe he could 'find' one somewhere if he looked hard enough. Maybe a shop would have one in an open window or something. "well... I'll try it.. thank you Sir.." Even if he'd known the other's name, he would have pretended not to recognise it as the same, he'd been yelled at for that before, you had to pretend not to know they were similar... so you didn't mess something up. "What... what do I do if he won't stop though? I-I mean.. he kinda sounds like he's hurting..."
coolestskelebro started following you Someone... followed me first this time? Ahh.. you're umm... *he glances upwards, holding the small bundle in his jacket tightly to keep him hidden and safe* Really tall lookin'...
So umm... I wouldn't ask this normally but... do.. do you know anything about small children? Like... really small?
âI wouldnât say I was an expert but I did take care of my little brother years back. We didnât exactly have anyone else around. Is uuh.. everything alright kiddo?â Man he had a really bad feeling about this.

âSans, I canât jus-!â He watched the child turn and run, heaving a sigh. Perhaps he had been a bit too overbearing. He grunted softly, leaning against his cart. Heâd just have to search for the skeletonâs parents later.
Such searching would never take place though as only a few moments later, the rabbitâs well tuned ears picked up the sound of yelling and the sight of Sans running back out into the open.
âHey? Whatâs wrong, kid?â He asked, abandoning his cart and hurrying over to the kid. He crouched down to be closer in height, furrowing his brow in concern.
"H-He's gone.." The young monster was rather obviously panicking or he wouldn't be talking so easily to anyone about this. "I- I put him just here.. I -told- him not to move.. I -told- him..." light blue dusted his cheeks, his left eye starting to flicker between black and a bright blue as he looked around the area haphazardly. "He's gotta be here somewhere.. I can't let him get hurt.. I can't!" He looked up at the rabbit, his expression almost pleading. "You gotta help me.. please.. I can't find Pappys!"
How... how do I get him to stop crying? Pappys.. -please-.... stop it... look... you see the hood? You wanna play with the hood... O-ow... don't hit me... st-top... stop flailing! Stop! What can I do to make you stop crying?
