It's back day again! Just like everyday it's a chance to get better as a whole and work towards goals, one of mine being to do unassisted pull ups. I'm not there yet but I'm closer than I've ever been. I use a purple resistance band for mine over an assisted pull up machine because it mimics the movements of an unassisted pull up more than a machine. Tip: during the eccentric movement (downward phase) make sure to full stretch your lats so you can powerfully contract for the upward movement.

It's been such a great week and I just finished it off with a great leg workout. I was sluggish this afternoon but my prolific from @pescience gave me the exact boost and pump I needed to kill it without making my heart feel like it was going to explode which is why #iselectthebest highly recommend if you're looking for a great preworkout or even something to wake you up in the morning and help you focus!

Even when you're not where you want to be yet, take time to appreciate the progress you have made. You've worked hard and it's okay to admire that. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted a "butt". Strong, round glutes. Two years later I'm finally getting somewhere. It took a while to realize that nutrition is important and a less than 1200 cal a diet wasn't the answer or healthy way to fuel your body and make the gains you want. Nick and I have 9 days until the cut begins and I'm embracing every minute of it! And while sometimes I still have to fight that scale and the number I see I have to remind myself I am more than that number and so happy to be gaining some curves and muscle. SO LADIES EAT AND PICK UP HEAVY THINGS

This weekends leg workout was a mental game but I pushed through. On an important note though I listened to my body. I still completed all exercises as planned just not as much weight as I'm use to doing. I felt weak and found myself stumbling a lot so I lowered the weight or used body weight. As. Much as it kills sometimes, we just have to leave our ego at the door and do what's best for us because in the end we won't regret it. So moral of this situation, even on your worst days when you still wanna kill your workout LISTEN TO YOUR BODY NOT YOUR EGO.
Flexed/Unflexed, high waist/low waist, bloated/not bloated....... self love no matter what. Jumping on the trend of showing what we look like without our high waisted pants. This is me. I have hips, I bloat like no other (I haven't eaten yet in this pic, seriously I eat a carrot and look 3 months pregnant) and I'm learning to love myself more everyday for every stage of my body. I'm bulking up until March and not gonna lie it's hard to see some extra meat on the hips but then I look at the booty gains and I remember the process. I will love myself through every phase and you should too.

If you have a hard time with eating your greens and fruits try adding some greens and/or wheatgrass to your protein shakes and look at supplementing with vitamins and minerals but still try to get them from Whole Foods from the earth!
PSA: don't lift heavy or you will look like a man 😝 LADIES don't listen to the BS. Pick up the weights, push yourself, and you will see the changes you've been waiting for and wanting (along with some good foods too) It takes time but it's so worth it.
