it felt odd to leave it out of the story considering how big of a thing it is, and now i understand why—the fact that it’s fed to us so long after being introduced to mizi and having her seem to be clueless and having the audience have a certain perception of her, only to turn that on its head later and show us she wasn’t clueless and revealing just how affected she was by being objectified (in a way that festered aggressively in her) is so perfect

we, the audience, accepted and believed her facade as well. just like what happens in the real world. and i can already smell the misogynists coming to call her a master manipulator and stupid shit like that, which is incredibly ironic and absolutely not surprising at all, and it only reflects more on how big of a problem it is
