This blog, despite the reference in the name, is about how disabled people are treated, thought of, and spoken of more than what how we act and think ourselves, except in cases of intra-disabled aggression. It is meant to highlight the trite and banal cruelty with which people who are disabled and people judged as disabled are treated.
For the sake of simplicity and completeness, this blog includes all neurodivergent people as disabled, as well as people whose bodily appearance and/or function practically differ from what is considered to be "normal" by greater society or any social circle.
Also included for the same reason are people who are not considered to be disabled by certain ableists, but still face ableism either in tangible reality or by association.
This blogger is aware that no other facet of the kyriarchy would exist without ableism and classism, and that the kyriarchy causes people who do not necessarily have a disability by medical standards to both "function" at a lesser capacity than they might, and be treated as though they are less "functional" than they are.
This blog and its tag system are a work in progress.
