this is an awfully big wardrobe
lesbian Susan Pevensie headcanons
she tells peter first
she’s more than a little nervous, but he accepts her right away
he holds her for hours as she sobs, relieved
she tells edmund next it’s an accident, it just slips out
he takes it well, very well–
a few days later he corners her and tells her he’s gay she’s never been so thankful for his companionship in her life
she never tells lucy, but her sister finds out in narnia anyways
she stumbles on susan dancing with a dryad, stars in her eyes
she creeps away, smiling, and later she casually brings it up during their private dinner
“were you ever going to tell me?“
she asks lightly
susan chokes on her wine, wincing
tells her she isn’t sure
tells her how afraid she was her sweet sister would hate her, and how unbearable that would be
unsurprisingly, lucy understands
while in our world, susan decides to be publicly out because in narnia, love isn’t illegal
she’s still careful of course, but she owns it, she’s proud of herself, she loves herself and knows that her love for girls is beautiful and holy, not a sin
but after narnia, after the deaths of her family, she doesn’t flirt with girls, barely even looks at them
not publicly, not privately
it feels too horrible to be so happy, and so she isn’t
instead, she spends all her time searching for a way back
eventually, after what seems much too long, she claws her way back. she doesn’t need death or magic to reach the true narnia; the only powers she needs are those of anger and grief
aslan is waiting for her there
“welcome, daughter of eve,” he says. “i knew you would come.”
susan is caught between hugging him and punching him in the face.
in the end, both win out. he bows his head and laughs.
(also, she gets married to a lovely narnian lady she wanted to court her first time around. she actually had time for that now. all the time in the world, in fact.)
After too much time I did not publish anything … Here’s a small personal project I did-Narnia :)
It’s the year 2020.
The last Chronicles of Narnia movie came out 10 years ago and Netflix has set the premiere of their own adaptation in spring.
Because of that, the Special Anniversary Edition DVD box of all 3 movies comes out - with never-before-seen footage and special extra material.
So, obviously, you go to the nearest store and you buy it, even if you already have those dvd’s.
You come home and start a movie marathon.
It’s the end of the LWW and so far you haven’t seen anything new or extra.
But then you see it.
It’s the flash forward scene. The White Stag Hunt.
But it’s different.
Those are not the actors you usually see in the scene.
It’s them.
And it makes perfect sense, because it’s been 15 years since LWW came out and all four of them are now old enough to play adult versions of themselves.
That’s the “extra material” - the grand surprise.
But then you get to the end of the movie and you cry louder and harder than ever before.
Because now seeing their actual adult selves going back to their actual childhood selves has even bigger impact.
Makes it even more real.
Didn’t they make a video for us when they met up again? Is it out

Basically.
Why Tilda Swinton Is An Actor To Look Up To
1. Versatility: Often double-cast in her films to show off her range, Tilda easily takes command of introverts and extroverts, characters of high and low intelligence, gracefulness and gracelessness.
2. Lack of self consciousness: Despite known for her unique look, Tilda Swinton is an example of an actress never trying to look desirable in her work. She throws herself into unlikable and grotesque characters without patting herself on the back.
3. Humanity: Never straying to archetypes, her performances in “Snowpiercer”, “Okja” and “We Need To Talk About Kevin” in particular are notable for her commited empathy of highly flawed characters, resulting in deeply layered work.
4. Playfulness: Despite often taking heavy roles in dark films, her performances often project the joy and fun she clearly has had in creating her characters, bringing energy and life into her characters. In other words, experimenting and not taking herself too seriously.
5. Curiosity: Watching Tilda across multiple roles makes it clear she consistently tries to try new ideas in her performances and never repeat herself, leading to a large variety of roles in many genres.
6. Collaborators: Some of Tilda’s best work has come from working with directors repeatedly, showing the value of collaborating with artists she can connect with as equals. From Wes Anderson and Luca Guadagnino to Bong Joon-Ho, the creative input she’s been able to achieve by surrounding herself with artists with which she shares mutual respect has produced wonderful results.
In short, she’s a badass and one of the most accomplished living actors in full control of her craft.
Hats off to this living legend.
