I haven’t used this in years but I need to vent.
It was a good idea for the first 3 years until it started to take a toll on my health. I guess I just don’t have enough girth for it. I’m bad at taking tests, and it’s so much information being spilled at you all at once. Like, I just took a final, and it’s only September 29. We had that class 5 days a week, and our midterm was literally 2 weeks ago. My study guide for it came up to 35 pages of structures, drugs, side effects, MOAs. That’s so much information I had to completely understand in just 2 weeks.
I should’ve left since a year ago. I just carried on the last 2 semesters self doubting myself and in denial that pharmacy wasn’t for me. I genuinely love pharmacy and learning about all of the drugs and everything, but I just can’t handle the program anymore. I feel like I’ve been trapped in so many aspects of my life and pharmacy school had a part of it. I’ve been depressed & just pretty much emotionless and fatigued for the past year and I know it’s not healthy.
Anyways, I’m probably going to get a letter of dismissal soon... which REALLY sucks. I’m sad, I’m scared, but at the same time I feel some sort of relief? I won’t have to be so stressed, or give up that much time for myself anymore. My future salary is gonna drop like... 60K just because I couldn’t get a 70 in some classes, but I guess I have no choice at this point.
