maybe it was someone that you knew that could’ve been pranking you in this very moment. there was no way that you could actually have a secret admirer, right? after getting these random poems and lyrics that were written on little colorful letters in perfect handwriting, you were sure that there wasn’t a possible reason that someone could be sending it to you. you weren’t special.

“y/n! what are you looking at?” you hear someone call from behind you and turn to see that it was one of your friends, Minghao.

you give him a soft smile as you showed him another letter that you’ve received this week, the fifth one in a row. his eyes sparkle in amusement as you watch him skim the poetic words that were written on the paper before handing it back to you.

“they sound quite romantic, in all honesty.” he replies, giving you a warm smile as you nodded in response.

“yeah they do,” you reply as the thoughts that you were echoing in your mind continued to run around your head.

but they aren’t you.

Okay so I’m a firm believer that Hans gets very wrapped up in whatever he’s doing and also that he’d wanna be with someone who feels calming to him and gives him these moments of reprieve from his crazy life. So 100% he’s the type to get so comfy and cozy that he legit just falls asleep while still inside you. Like you would be so worked up and want him to move and meanwhile he got so comfy he’s just out like a light.

But because he can still feel you he’d dream of having sex with you and he’d let out these quiet breathy moans while rolling his hips against you and you’d move your hips to match his pace and leave soft kisses on his skin and he’d let out that quiet whine when he cums.

He’d wake up and be so cute and a little out of it trying to understand what had happened. And he’d get a little flustered when you told him but he’d laugh it off and apologize for falling asleep and offer to help you get off too.

You looked up from your phone after reading the text, smirking when you saw Baekhyun stroll in through the door. He had his phone in one hand, and was carrying a cardboard drink carrier in the other.

“This,” he raised the carrier up when he got up to the counter, “is why I was late. If I remember, this is your favorite flavor of boba.”

He took a clear cup out with a bright green straw stuck in it and placed it on the counter in front of you. You grinned, happy that Baekhyun remembered something as small as your favorite boba flavor.

“Thanks, Baek,” you chirped before taking a sip.

“Right, so,” he began as he handed drinks to Chanyeol and Sehun who were thankfully working with you. After the few shifts you had with the other two employees, you decided Sehun and Chanyeol were definitely the lesser of the evils, “what I wanted to ask you about…”

“Mingyu… Mingyu where are you…”

The phone in your hand, you try calling him again only to end the call because it wouldn’t be any use, checking the 25 minutes you had remaining. You needed to find Mingyu quickly.

So best believe when you ran into the campus garden, although it being a lengthy walk to get there, you were more than relieved to find Mingyu with his back facing you, kneeled on the rocky floor. It almost looked like a painting of bittersweetness.

“Please,” Mingyu begs with a hush, kneeling in front of you. His hand runs through your hair, frowing the slightest. “If they mess with you, they’re messing with me.”

Dating news isn’t new to the industry, but for someone like Kim Mingyu — a freshly hot, new actor rising his way to the top in less than two weeks of his latest movie release — there was bound to be a dip.

Who is that with Mingyu?

That’s who he’s going out with? Talk about low standards…

You agree — the actor deserves so much better, you didn’t deserve him — but the comments got tiring to look at, like a weight that always adds on even if you left it alone; a growing shadow on your back, consuming you slowly.

But you love him. He makes you happy. He makes your day; you can’t imagine a life without him.

On some days, the harsh words would be fine. They’re just words, they can’t hurt you. They hit after long days, especially now that the publicity is running into your private life — the subtly obvious phones pointed at you, directed looks and whispers from those you walk past, having to lie when they ask you about Mingyu. It felt too much at times.

You wanted to be strong in front of Mingyu, though at the same time, your walls topple to pieces the moment he stares into your eyes.

“They…” You trail, hesitating before you pounce yourself on Mingyu, the heaviness too heavy to bear as your tears express that point, “It’s like they want me dead! I’ve done nothing to them, nothing, and I feel so alone ‘Gyu, I…”

Fading into a pattern of hiccups, Mingyu decides to stay mum, holding you for the time being until you reach to a regular breathing pattern.

When you mumble a small sorry, Mingyu tilts your head up, broken at the sight of your messy tears running from your eyes and down to your cheeks.

“Only listen to me,” he says softly as possible, “you can’t escape it, I know, it’s hard, but you don’t need to be strong for me. If there’s something wrong, I’ll address that to them. They have no right to make you feel miserable. You’ve done nothing, okay?”

You nod, sniffing, as he wipes the upcoming tears on your face.

“Even if I die, it’s always going to be you. It’s their loss in the end — I love you and I wanna be with you. Got that?”

Again nodding with a smile, Mingyu sighs in relief as he leans in and kisses your forehead, nose nuzzled.

“Let’s go for a walk.” Suggests Mingyu. “You need some fresh air and I need to take care of you.”

“I don’t need taking care of…”

“Sure, keep telling yourself that.”

He picks you up, guiding you to the bedroom to help you get dressed, a moment full of giggles and instant happiness when it’s just you and him.
