“Ah, yes, I'm sure I could have found a way to fit in with your family,” Doojoon was quick to agree, his amusement clearly audible in his voice since he was making no attempts to hide it, “I could pretend to be your real hyung. I mean, if you think about it for a while, isn't there a bit of a resemblance between us?” Once more, a chuckle freely spilled from his lips, his head falling backwards against the headrest of his bed as he assumed a sitting position as not to ruin his back by keeping it bent the whole time. “Mm,” he hummed his agreement as his free hand balled into a fist at his side, a quiet reminder to himself to keep it together and not let the thoughts that still hung heavy over his head make him emotional at this time. “You're right. Honestly, I’m usually the one to say things like that, so... thank you for reminding me,” he replied after he remembered how to speak, a little more quietly now, but the smile had returned to his features, even if it was a bit smaller than before, and there was even a hint of amusement in his tone, though it subsided quickly, “Thank you. I mean it.” There, he made a short pause, mostly because he wasn't particularly good at reacting in these kinds of situations and it took him a moment or two to gather his thoughts. “Honestly, there aren't many people I could call at this hour who would offer such uplifting words and actually mean them, so... you're pretty great.” A light chuckle slipped through his lips as he shook his head at his own not exactly fanciful wording, silently hoping his sincerity would be felt despite that. “I should probably let you sleep soon, huh?”
