Hmmm, I’m in the mood for something fun… perhaps a… poll? A fun little poll?
Which of my crafting Hot Takes to you agree with?
DPNs are unnecessarily complicated. Circular needles are right there!
Spindle spinning is boring
Crochet garments are lowkey kinda ugly
The mohair pairing trend was created just to make people spend more money
Merino has ruled for too long. It’s time for the other breeds to rise up!
Cotton yarn feels icky
I agree with many of these, you are so based OP
Cancelled. Blocked. Jailed for one thousand years.
I’m bald
Disclaimer that none of these are that serious, they are just my personal opinions and if you like any of these things I hold no ill will towards you and hope you the same to me. If you think your crochet sweater looks rad as hell, that’s awesome! I’m glad you like it! If you think DPNs are the one true method for knitting in the round, godspeed to you.
I would love to hear your own crafting hot takes!
It’s currently my reading week, which obviously means that I am ignoring my school work in favour of reading my books. Which feels fantastic now, but will probably back fire at the end of the week when school starts again.
I am once again facing the eternal question: do I feel better mentally because I cleaned my room, or did I clean my room because I was feeling better?
Honestly "What's your favorite book in x genre" and "Can you recommend me a book in x genre" are two very different questions

We’re back with another reading bingo! welcome to the Spring Mini Reading Challenge 🍃
RULES: like with our previous reading challenges, the rules are pretty flexible, since the whole point of this is to motivate you to read just a little bit more :) the challenge starts on april 1st and ends with may 30th, but you’re welcome to finish it at your own pace → use the tag #studyblr w/knives reading challenge when you post your updates/pics → the challenge is ofc, as usual, also on storygraph (check the notes for the link)
once you’ve read a book that fits a prompt, cross it out on the above template and/or share your thoughts on it in a post here on tumblr; make sure to mark any spoilers (hide them under a cut etc.), so people can avoid them if needed :) you can also have just one post and update it as you go, or you can post good ol’ aesthetic book pics!
as always, if you have any questions, feel free to send them to me or any other member in the taglist below xx
Keep reading

Third Annual TBR Challenge, February 2022
Title: A Psalm for the Wild-Built (Monk and Robot #1)
Author/s: Becky Chambers
Page count: 147
Rep: MC is non-binary (uses they/them pronouns), as are various other characters that appear briefly in the novel. MC mentions a previous relationship with a man.
Trigger warnings: Cursing, description of injuries, fire (controlled), minor warnings for alcohol use, animal cruelty and death, death (including philosophical discussions about death as an end to existence), and slavery of robot-kind
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5 stars)
Read more under the cut for my slightly spoiler-ish thoughts.
I've got a rainy day today and plan to spend most of it in my pajamas on an exploration through English language fantasy.
I'm not as good with reading physical books as I am with audio books, but there are some that are much better when read from a physical copy (or my library only has a paper edition). So I have decided to put time aside to focus on my physical books today and give them the time they deserve.
[ID: A stack of seven books sitting on a blanket with their spines visible in the photo. The books are Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene, an anthology titled Edmund Spencer's Poetry, A.
