Because some suspected that the letter was about Quirin apologizing for lying so much to Varian AND his past. No way Quirin wrote that filled paper just to say ”I'm proud of you, son” he definitely told everything about him, his own past, brotherhood, dark kingdom and how his proud of Varian no matter how destructive his son can be.

Think about it, Varian would have learned a lot about his own dad, even the brotherhood—To me I feel like Quirin wrote to find Both Adira and Hector because Quirin knows they'll protect Varian, he had never told them about Varian obviously cause they parted ways but Quirin knows they'll help his son. Sure we won't see the villain arc Varian maybe he tries to harm Rapunzel but ends up running away before OR he goes through his villain arc, gets sent to jail but just escapes betraying Andrew early.

Before Varian leaves Corona, he's going to have to take some of his dad's stuff from the chest with the brotherhood symbol as proof. He can't just walk in and find Adira & Hector and say “oh I'm the son of Quirin” because obviously they probably have trust issues especially HECTOR—he's literally trapped in a tree for who knows long.

but then again Adira had been lurking for a long time in Corona and seeing the fall of Varian so I'm sure Varian's bumping into her first.

Before Rapunzel even left corona, Varian was already on the run away—Raps and her gang just leaves the kid alone but they're worried he might hurt himself. They don't chase after him sadly because rapunzel has a long journey ahead of her. Adira is obviously watching from afar and hearing their conversation chases after Varian first.

So off cam as Rapunzel goes through her adventures then meets Adira, Varian was already with Adira during those times but not revealing his self at Rapunzel's gang because CLEARLY he'll get murked by them for his crimes. If we were to add an episode featuring where Varian reveals himself that he has been with Adira through their journey

I guess it'll be after “Goodbye and Goodwill” and the episode would be called “The return of the Alchemist”

If Rapunzel, Eugene and Cassandra sees Varian is back they'll wary at first and obviously Adira is going to protect him because he is Quirin's son and hearing that he had gotten stuck in amber well angsty shit will play.

Fast forward, Varian is forgiven after some time, coming along on their adventures—Adira decides to leave Varian to Rapunzel because it had been so dangerous when Varian was with Adira and plus Adira needed to keep coming back and forth just to check on the Sundrop.

Now for meeting Hector, obviously the entire scene plays and right as Hector attacks and taunts Cassandra, Varian ends up mingling with their fight saving Cassandra a bit. Hector is distraught by this tries attacking again then gets possessed by the damn tree then they save him.

If this ever had become Canon we could have gotten more Hector screen time along with Adira sigh

Then Adira explains about Quirin being stuck in the Amber, Varian being Quirin's son and obviously Hector was shock by the news, his angry not at Varian but at the Sundrop for not helping his breathens spawn(Varian) and just threw him out of a damn winter storm. Hector doesn't trust the Sundrop nor her damn group especially Cassandra at all but since they're on the way to the dark kingdom, Hector now joins their journey, both him and Adira lead them this time but still keeping Varian safe and close to them.

Other episodes still play out then the part where Edmund tries to murk them all, Hector trying to make his king snap out of his fury but ends up getting thrown alongside Adira, heck Varian is probably so traumatized especially the part where they get to that room where the old warrior spirits of dark kingdom comes out and tries to murk all of them 😭

Then the betrayal, and maybe for the ending Varian ends up coming with Rapunzel once again. With a twist though! Adira, Hector and Edmund came with them to Corona, the help with the problem and to go to Quirin.

Honestly since S3, Varian and the saporians are the lead villains, maybe replace Varian with Lady Caine again cause like hello she needed more screen time honestly?? Obviously Varian wasn't still trusted now that he was back but after helping Rapunzel save Corona all the charges on him were dropped.

Then they watch Quirin be freed from the amber and his probably going to be shocked to see King Edmund, Adira and Hector all there again. Then following episodes you just see them in the background bonding and recatching with the past and maybe Quirin even letting Varian know more about the dark kingdom and their group and Varian healing + Being great at alchemy more and more. Ackkkk brotherhood needed more screen time :(((

• Relationship with Ulla and Donella + Hugo •

— Okay so like I know Donella and Ulla are the closest one since they're both research partners and maybe even friends but I like to think that Cyrus is also close with them back then, sure his a conman but like if he is one why is he sticking around Donella especially with her obsession with the eternal library that probably has a chance of not even existing in the first place. They're all thieves and wanted criminals so Cyrus would have been smart enough to stick with someone who doesn't believe in fairy tales. I really believe that Ulla also knows Cyrus for long just like Donella and all of them being friends until obsession and jobs wrecked their friendship.

—I also believe that Cyrus got that scar from his from Ulla too, I remember seeing videos where Ulla was the reason why Donella got the scar on her cheek so I'm guessing Ulla was the reason too. Think about it, Maybe before Ulla had gotten trapped in the eternal library, Cyrus and Donella were probably trying to stop her fully when Ulla went mad and ended up harming both of them.

-Side note for Ulla; I've seen people interpret that Ulla was or is the real villain of the story and Donella was just trying to stop Varian from freeing his maniac of a mother( The possession and all )

—His relationship with Ulla and Donella in my perspective is probably somewhere annoyed and concerned about their well beings, you can't tell me that Cyrus isn't the type of person who seems distant, calm and stoic on the outside but caring and sweet(?) on the inside[Kuudere aaaa]. Cyrus probably loves to look intimidating but deeply cares for his team despite being a conman himself.

—For his relationship with Hugo, Hugo sees Cyrus as an older brother/Mentor, Cyrus sometimes gets headaches with Hugo for how much of a trouble he is from time to time. Since Cyrus tends to lie due to him being a conman then Hugo tends to lie a lot too and used that against Cyrus ( Own words being returned to bro ) when Hugo was getting too close to Varian.

• Cyrus personality •

—(Edit) I forgot to add that Cyrus taught Hugo how to fight with his hands/Weapons so he doesn't rely much on alchemy like Donella!!

Donella relies on her alchemy, Inventions and brains but Cyrus relies on weapons and hands, so Donella taught Hugo alchemy and inventing whilst Cyrus taught Hugo how to fight with hands and weapons.

— Like I said Cyrus is calm, stoic and distant but sweet and caring on the inside(Kuudere aaa), why do I think of this? ‘Big angry goth babysitter’ 😭🙏, You cannot tell me this big oaf wouldn't say “Whatever you're doing I don't care if you get hurt in the process“ to Hugo or Donella or Ulla(past) then the next thing you know he has a medkit right beside him while scolding either anyone from the 3 on how careless they are and how they can't stay put.

— Cyrus is definitely the Brawn's of the group while Donella, Hugo and Ulla(past) are the Brains. And since ’Angry’ is in his description, Cyrus definitely HAS anger issues to the point he will go on a frenzy when he's pissed REALLY pissed or if his plan doesn't go exactly his way. If Cyrus can be the brains too of the group but since his the muscle man of the group, I fully believe he bails out Hugo or Donella if they ever get caught by any guards from different kingdoms.

— Cyrus loves to plan a lot definitely, Donella probably does too so does Hugo but I have a thought that Cyrus might plan differently than both Donella and Hugo. If his plan doesn't go his way he'll hate it and probably be pissed the entire day.

— He cooks and bakes for the group definitely, Side HC; Donella can cook and bake but she rarely does it ( Always ends up being salty or sour ), Hugo meanwhile is BANNED from any stove or kitchen. It's Cyrus stress reliever btw

— Cyrus waits for Donella's command a lot since again he's the muscle man, he can't always lead upfront from time to time but there's times he will NOT listen to Donella if he knows damn well Donella is acting on her impulsive side too much. This always ends up making Donella and Him fight a lot.

• Side Info/side Headcanons(?) I have for him •

— I've read a lot of fanfics in the TTS/Vat7K Fandom, there was one Cyrus interpretation I've gotten my eye on and some Kingdom cultures(Specifically Ingvarr) they inserted in certain fanfics.

This was from ‘His little Light' by HarmonySong123(They're also here in Tumblr)

In Their Fanfic story, they explained in a chapter about Ingvarr's hairdos, Whereas the longer your hair is and the many braids means the higher your honour is or the longer you've fought wars and battles. Like how if it's a ponytail braid(Like Donella's) or a plain ponytail(Like Hugo) meaning they picked being smart since both of them know alchemy and inventing while having long hair + braids Like Hector means you've served long for honour/won tons of battles and wars. So I have a feeling Cyrus long braids(Doodle In the image) means he served honour to someone higher for long / Won battles, but why does he have short hair now then?

I remember a post here in Tumblr where Hector's hair was all trimmed off short and in the comments someone explained that once a man's hair is trimmed off it was to humiliate them completely or It means they have lost a battle that cost them their pride. So in my interpretation, Cyrus once had long hair that was braided the same way as Hector but was trimmed either from the fact he was shamed for it, lost a battle or decided to trim it off completely to forget about his past.

Now for the personality that caught my eye about Cyrus in the fanfic is how Cyrus will not put down a fight, if someone beats him into a pulp he will return with much strength than before going on a rampage on the very same person just to show them Cyrus himself won't go down easily ( Quirin is low-key fucked up in that Fanfic I'm like somewhere in Chapter 330 and I'm scared for bro ) basically Cyrus HATES losing and I've adapted that now because it fits him.

• Aftermath of vat7K •

— Cyrus probably still groups up with Donella before finding his own path all 3 of them splitting apart for good. Hugo resides with Varian in Corona or Dark Kingdom(Whether where Varian goes Hugo will be there), Donella probably became a royal alchemist/engineer somewhere in the kingdom of Ingvarr, and lastly Cyrus probably decided to train as a royal guard or knight for a kingdom, it fits him because look where's all that muscle going to?? They probably split apart on good terms, maybe inspired by Hugo changing paths so that they won't have to worry about being chased again or starving to death on the streets or being hunted down.
