My mother wanted to be a mother. It was her dream to be a mother. She poured all her energy into being a Good Christian Mother.

She did not want me. She wanted motherhood. I was a side effect of her dream. Once I was old enough to disagree with her, she hated me. I wasn't making her look like a Good Christian Mother. I was loud, disobedient, needy... almost like a child. Not quiet and pretty and grateful for crumbs.

Yes, she birthed me. For herself and her partner. For the people who were already born. Not for me. As all mothers have for all of time. It's not the birthing that makes a mother worth honoring, it's the parenting.

to me Metaman was a pivotal zag...we literally thought they were going to zig (neutral t shirt) but they did in fact zag (covered in blood rambling about social media corporations and hissing & spitting)

Foundations drop + the subsequent photo reveal of the full band when we hadn't seen Gerard in like 2 years

The band being at the literal top of their game and high energy and friendly onstage. I know this seems like a mean one but I literally was expecting the entire tour to be so uncomfortable and they blew my expectations out of the fucking water

The first Short Shorts incident in Budapest . that day felt like it changed everything

Desert song REDUX...I literally never expected them to perform that again ever

Joan of Arc outfit coming to fruition...literally never thought they'd do it

Australia NZ Japan having one consistent outfit that included little high heels (insanity) (we thought they were gonna dress down for that one)

Deep cut setlist additions like Boy Division and Bury Me in Black

WWWY old people outfits...literally so funny that that happened
