Genuinely thinking about it: he would be sad jealous, because jealousy, if recognized, is a negative emotion, and especially if we talk about Kalim being jealous of someone getting close to Jamil – but Kalim is way too used to suppress negativity. And I think it would get worse if Kalim witnessed himself being replaced by someone else 😙 but I am curious to hear your thoughts on this. To be honest Kalim strikes me as a very secure guy who never gets jealous (being generous as his main trait), but any extreme case is possible.

And I also believe Jamil would try to make Kalim jealous on purpose because he is just evil like that (imo he'd be like the most jealous of them two, but he is unregulated and Kalim is just generally dissociative)

I mean, Silver is a human(!!!), but he's also adopted by Lilia (someone Baur respects a lot) and Sebek's only friend

If I'm not mistaken, Baur knows how Knight of Dawn looked like, so what did he think when realized Silver looks suspiciously KoD-shaped?

granted, things got pretty wacky when they were escaping the castle, he might not have actually processed what Dawnathon's face looked like! although I guess it is the kind of thing that sticks with you through the centuries, and if anyone was gonna notice...

okay I admit I've been pretty unfair about those, because it IS difficult to encapsulate...(gestures to the huge emotional mess that is NRC) in just a couple of sentences each. and in particular because some of them ARE meant to be surprising; like, for example, Epel being such an angry little scrungle despite looking Like That. so I will eat crow here! (sorry headmaster) (though to be fair I will say that my issue is less the descriptions themselves being terrible, and more that they make all the characters sound like terrible people...which, to be even fairer, they kinda are. just, uh, more entertainingly so.) but yeah, I must fully admit to my hubris, because the only way I can think of to be more accurate is just to add the same exact label to everyone:

He’s just also so… Very kind. And forgiving. As long as you show him you mean what you say, that you no longer mean any harm, that you want to make amends? He will forgive and forget.
