"There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: The fear of failure." - Paulo Coelho I've failed more times than I can count, but if I hadn't kept on trying, I wouldn't be where I am today. During my undergrad, I jumped from one major to another, wasting time, money, and effort, trying to figure out what I wanted to do. After failing so many times, I became discouraged and unmotivated in my work. I didn't let that stop me, though. Two and a half years ago, I discovered nursing after attending a volunteer event at a local hospital. I simply shadowed the nurse and performed simple duties like filing and greeting hospital guests. I also saw nurses caring for people when they were most vulnerable. My heart was touched through the actions of these nurses. The care, compassion, and empathy provided by these miracle workers were so profound. At the end of the day, I found hope and comfort because I discovered what I wanted to do. I put my fear of failing aside and wholeheartedly pursued a career in nursing. Today, I am completing my third semester of nursing school and hopefully within 1 year, I'll be doing what was only a dream for me at the start of this journey - helping people with the restoration of their body, spirit, and mind. Don't let fear stop you from being great. Use your failures as an opportunity to learn and chase your dreams even harder. It'll be worth it. 😊 https://www.instagram.com/p/BuHee3vBiNQ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=i3j0ydjnxcqr
