Thinking about those situations where a character is too busy or distracted to realize they need to pee until something triggers it. Maybe they're washing their hands and suddenly find themselves crossing their legs. Or maybe they squat down and compressing their bladder makes them leak without warning. It's awkward to explain "I just realized I'm about to explode," or maybe they're in a situation where they can't get away - hence the distraction - so they just have to hold it despite being made aware they can't.
