Now I think we can all agree Celine drinks a lot of caffeine more specifically coffee to help her stay alert. However, Celine's Coffee is a concoction that was made up by her and is insanely dangerous to almost everyone else but her. I know what you're thinking it's probably 3 monsters mixed with beans but no. Celine's coffee is the strongest energy drink, plus some caffeine pills, and whatever secret thing the government has been cooking up.
She makes about 1 a day and has her own little thermos for it. If she doesn't have her thermos people worry. The girls have reached tried her coffee once.
Rumi when she was 6 grabbed it and took a big swig. Her little 6 year old body immediately rejected it and she was sick the entire day, that taught her real quick not to drink anything of Celine's.
Mira accidentally drank it during training one day and she doesn't remember what happened after, but she woke up on the other side of Korea with her heart feeling like it was going to explode.
Zoey drank it once just to see what the fuss was about and she immediately fell asleep and couldn't be woken for 2 days, she also had to stop taking her ADHD meds for about a month because they kept making her feel sluggish.
Bobby accidentally took a sip once he thought he grabbed his thermos. He eyed Celine up and down after that sip, but never said anything else.

I saw someone ask if the orb can be broken? In your New Hope AU and you said it's basically impossible. May I suggest to you Zoey broke the orb? so Mira could get her orb. Mira's orb is from the original orb.
The original orb was trying to split but it was stuck for Mira. Min ji and the others didn't really know it was trying to do that only that the orb was acting weird so, they were worried. Then here comes the little Daltokki with its hammer and smashes it in Two.
*Min ji souls leaves her body*
Celine *Shocked Face*
Mi - young concerned for Min ji.
The Kids Yippee! New orb!
Mira snuggling her new orb
Zoey going be impressed by my power! 💪
Rumi applauding.
Just a thought.
Lolll Zoey the fixer is here to help, with her hammer >:3
Even though technically Miyeong and Rumi isnt there for the whole orb split. I like to imagine when Zoey tells the story, she'll be all grand and add extras while Mira agrees and add more to the ridiculous story. Min-ji having to quietly grumble it isnt like that with a sympathetic pat on the back from Celine. Miyeong is overall confused.
I have been reading you Evil miyoung and I love it a lot.
Although I have been thinking about what if Celine does have friends. She just never considered them friends, because you know being open about yourself is something friends do, and Celine can't for the most part. (Demon hunting forcing her to keep secrets.)
And these friends are all people to Celine has kind of used in a sense ,like a cop with an informat, to gain information that has helped her as a hunter/life in general. (Another reason she doesn't see them as friends)
However they consider her a friend, because she has found the most neurodivergent in what ever they are in and has kept a consistent coffee/Dinner date with them for years, and they get to talk about their special interests? They love her!
So, I am thinking first time she misses a meeting they consider it a fluke, it happens/life. However, with Mi-young becoming more controlling in Celine's life she misses more. So, they start searching each other out to see if she is okay/have they met up with her recently? When they find out she hasn't met up with any of them for over a month. They track her down to make sure she is okay. (Like if you don't want to do our coffee sessions that's fine, but like we are worried.)
That's when they meet Mi-young and get a bad vibe from her and immediately go. "Okay, you can't show up? Don't worry we will come to you." and start helping Celine slowly. Now it took a few months for all this to happen, they all only knew about 1-2 others Celine hung out with and they were trying to figure out if they even should show up to her house.
Just a thought. I do really enjoy it.
Ah Celine who has a real hard time considering that other people care about her and worry about her.
Celine, who goes, "you don't know me"
And her friends going, "that's like categorically untrue but okay"
( @secondtolastrow tossing this ask in your direction)
Man, from an outside perspective, this situation must look so weird though—your buddy, a slightly odd but very warm woman who also happens to be an idol turned music label executive, suddenly starts missing meetups and mumbling about “being busy” or “having to check” whenever you talk to her, and then it turns out she’s got some woman half her age—her daughter’s age, even—with an uncanny resemblance to her tragically dead bandmate living in her house?
I would truly think your buddy had met a con artist and was getting the shit scammed out of her
Huntr/x, Third, and others low key being surprised that Celine has friends and they know all about the girls.
Rumi recognizes 1 or 2 because she used to play with their kids sometimes.
Celine being semi adamant they are not friends just people she knows and get coffee/a drink with every now and then. (because why the hell would we be friends, I can't be honest with them half the time. Yes, I do know their drink order, but they know mine. it's just easier for whoever gets there first to order.)
The friends having clocked Celine is a private person/ weird life. Accepting that they will never get straight answers from her, but enjoy her company anyway.
An additional thought on post-movie, Rumi and Celine reconciliation (or rather, two avoidant idiots trying to find some kind of stable footing in their relationship and failing horribly) (ft. Celine taking even more of a step back because clearly her teachings hurt Rumi so she's going to stay out of it from now on) (ft. Rumi trying to get any kind of reaction from Celine that isn't a, to her, passive-aggressive "whatever makes you happy")
Rumi, texting Celine a photo of a woman with like a buzzed head: I'm thinking of getting my hair cut
Celine: Okay.
Celine: Do what you want.
Celine: Just let PR and Bobby know beforehand. I'll smooth it over with the Board.
Which leads to Rumi pacing in front of the couch getting increasingly irritated at Celine. Writing and deleting messages she wants to think before just shoving the phone into Zoey and Mira's faces being like;
Rumi: See!? I told you she's pissed at me! But she can't just say that can she!?
Rumi: Nooo, she has to pretend she's fine with it all and then the next time we're together, she's going to be all *judgy.*
Zoey: But she says to do what you want and she'll help? It sounds like she's accepting it?
Rumi/Mira: Oh no no no. That's *not* what she's doing.
Rumi: "Do what you want" means she hates it and she's disappointed. *And* she's given up on me :(
Mira: Celine's basically disowning her.
Rumi: ...wait what. No that's not what Celine means at all.
Mira: Really? Because it's what *my* mother meant --
Zoey: To be fair, your mother has *problems*
Eventually culminating in an argument where Rumi is basically accusing Celine of constantly lying to her;
Rumi: Why can't you just be honest with me!?Just say you hate it! I know you do!
Celine: I said I liked it! Why is everything nice I say to you a lie!?
Celine: Why can't you believe that I love you and I want to support you!?
The words are out before Rumi realizes she's spoken them. Like she's been shot Celine jolts back, the practiced calm neutrality she's worn as long as Rumi can remember jarred out of place with the motion, and the expression of shock and hurt underneath lodges under Rumi's breastbone.
She sucks in a breath; the words are ready, lined up on her tongue awaiting their cue.
I'm sorry. I take it back. I didn't mean it.
Because she didn't, not really; when she thinks back over the course of her life she can only ever recall one time when Celine didn't stand by her with her arms outstretched and braced to catch her if she fell.
She shuts her mouth, the click of teeth meeting teeth a lock being shut, jailing the apology.
Because there had been one time Celine didn't, and the memory of it burns across her skin, the nascent iridescence of her patterns now clouded and brackish.
And she refused to keep lying.
Only the uncertain ring of the wind chimes out on the porch dares to ripple the silence between them, dares to tread around the words hanging thick as summer heat in the air.
Then Celine straightens, smooths invisible creases out of her slacks, adjusts the mask so its back in place.
"I'm sorry you feel that way Rumi," she says, as though she's addressing that one elderly board member who refused to retire until her pet crusade of Huntrix all having their natural hair colors saw success. "I'll- I'll see what I can do about...that."
She leaves her coffee on the table along with enough wons to cover both their tabs and leaves without another word, the bell over the door a tinkling knell.
Rumi sat back, a vice around her chest, and watched both their drinks go cold.
I feel like there might be a bit of a cultural difference going on here lmao.
95% of the time, if an asian mom is saying "okay. Do what you want," what she's *really* saying is, "your idea sucks and I hate it but I can't stop you so I'm washing my hands of this. Also I will 100% be making my feelings known at a later date"
Criticism = I care; Indifference = I have given up on this
Of course Celine really is trying to show that she cares by stopping herself from criticizing any of Rumi's decisions/ideas;
And Rumi is reading it as "oh she's stopped caring, therefore, she's given up on me, therefore, she hates me now"
Someone ... really needs to sit the both of them down and make them talk about their actual thoughts :')
//
@frozenwolftemplar
Eventually, after more agonizing than was strictly necessary, Rumi does cut her hair.
Not as short as the photo she had sent to Celine in an attempt to get her to care again -- Bobby would have a heart attack and her stylist would never forgive her -- but for the first time since she can remember, her neck is bare and her hair has started to curl again.
Unfortunately, such a drastic change resulted in the Board freaking out, despite Celine's best efforts, and meetings.
*Concerned* meetings.
Meetings that end with, "and we'll be sure to remind our performers that there's a confidential crisis line if they ever need support and aren't comfortable with going to their manager."
"Now if no one has any other matters --" Celine is saying, hand already resting on the lid of her laptop, clearly ready to conclude the meeting.
"I'm thinking of getting tattoos," Rumi says.
A room full of mostly middle-aged men and women turn to stare at her. Then they turn to stare at Celine.
Celine's face was making some very interesting expressions. Like she'd been asked to choose between eating garden slugs and kicking a puppy.
"That's--" she began.
Go on, say it. You hate it. You're disappointed I'm even considering it. This is highly inappropriate. What will the children say.
Just tell me the truth.
"That's fine, Rumi." Celine looked like she would have rather gotten hit by a bus. "It's... it's..."
Always appreciate having some cultural context dropped, for both learning and food for the brainworms.
(they're Mira's parents brainworms, because now I'm picturing her doing every bad/wrong/shocking thing she can think of to just try and get a reaction; a scold, a sneer, even a disappointed look, just something that shows they care enough to be upset.
They never do.)
and lol, thanks so much for the tag; the continuation of 'Rumi trying to get a reaction that's not 'it's fine' out of Celine') is not to be missed (Celine and Rumi basically pressing the buttons on their own blenders now)
Rumi, facedown on the couch: You're right Mira. She's given up on me. I'm dead to her.
(cruel, cruel irony, since Celine wouldn't...you know).
Mira: Really sorry Ru; it sucks when your mom disowns you. But you'll move past it.
(because Mira totally did. Yup, no lingering mommy issues here! She is good!)
Zoey: Aw...unnie... [flops onto her back to pancake pile her] Maybe you're overreacting? What exactly did Celine say you could do?
Rumi: Get tattoos.
Zoey:...
Mira:...
Zoey: In front of the board?
Rumi: Yeah.
Mira: ...Okay, I know she's disowned you, but how sure are we that's really Celine?
Meanwhile Celine's off wearing a hole in her carpet convinced she didn't hide her knee-jerk reaction of Absolutely not! Over my dead body! well enough and Rumi is now further convinced Celine hates her.
Of course, Bobby walks in while she's ^like this.^
Oh! What if Rumi like...actually really, really, super *doesn't* want tattoos. Like she really, really doesn't. The idea of going to a shop and getting stabbed with needles has zero appeal to her.
She only said it because it was like... a last resort but it clearly didn't work and now she's said she wants tattoos in front of the *entire board* and she knows Celine has lost so much face by approving her idea in front of the board.
So clearly she *has* to go through with it, right???
Mira: uh. No?
Zoey: That seems... not great?
Celine meanwhile is pacing being like, "I hate it. I hate it. I hate it so much. No, Celine, you promised you would be nothing but supportive. She is an adult. She can make her own decisions. You are going to be happy for her."
(Bobby, being held hostage: maybe just...talk to her??)
And the two of them just end up playing tattoo chicken with each other.
Every time they bump into each other it's an incredibly awkward and tense conversation because it seems like the only thing they can think to talk about is The Tattoo.
Rumi: I'm thinking of getting a whole sleeve, hand included. You know, something that's impossible to cover. (let's see her 'fine' this!)
Celine: That's...fine.
Rumi: WITH SKULLS!
Celine [gritting her teeth]: That's fine.
Rumi: AND GUNS! (no way she won't totally go on a rant about that)
Rumi [way too quickly]: So I scheduled the tattoo on Tuesday!
Celine [forced smile]: That's great!
Rumi [too brightly]: Yeah! Maybe you want to come with!?
Celine [also too brightly]: Yes! Definitely! I would not miss it!
(Meanwhile Zoey, Mira, and Bobby are watching this like 😬 because they have watched Rumi freak out about getting this tattoo and like... they didn't think it would get this far.
Mira: Have to say, letting them work this out is *not* working
Zoey: I thought one of them would have broken by now :/
Bobby: Girls, Rumi's tattoo appointment is *tomorrow*
I imagine the person who finally gets these two to start talking is the tattoo artist.
Rumi ranted a lot about her feelings when they're supposed to discuss the design. The artist only has limited knowledge of the situation. So from their limited perspective they only catch :
Rumi wants to get a tattoo to annoy her mother and want the tattoo have a lot of thing that her mother hate
Rumi also hate much of the things that her mother hate. So Rumi really didn't like the design either, even though she said it looked good.
Rumi really doesn't want a tattoo.
So the person , who really doesn't want pass to the history as the artist that maked Rumi the tattoo that she gonna hates fo the rest of her live, the day of the session, when Rumi arrived with Celine, before do anything. They talk to Celine.
''Rumi mentioned that she would have liked you to add your own touch to the design. So, since I want my client to be satisfied, tell me, what detail would you like to add?''
And the question takes them both by surprise. Rumi doesn't really remember much of their discussions about the design. But she did mention Celine a lot in them... When she...Oh
Celine, for her part, finds herself in a situation where she can't really say "It's fine" because Rumi isn't really asking for her permission or opinion here.
So after thinking for a second, she says, "Flowers."
Rumi, who at that moment would use any excuse to delay having the tattoo machine on her skin, just says, "...I like it."
While the artist makes the modifications to the design, Rumi asks "Why flowers?"
"I think that some color in that thing would be nice, Rumi"
(Rumi is like... Wait, did I hear right? Did I just hear a hint of criticism? Give me, give me, give!)
"So, would you like to add anything else? Or change anything?" Rumi offers to see how far she can take this.
And this gives Celine the opportunity to simply change the entire design while criticizing everything about the previous tattoo design along the way.
"You could replace the skulls with orchids. They're much more pleasing to the eye than those things."
"Change the guns to Kadupul. The things you put on your skin at least have to be meaningful. Not the first 'cool' thing that comes to your mind. I taught you better than that"
"Make it smaller""
"Is this okay?"
"...More smaller"
And in the end, even though the design was more to Rumi's liking, she still didn't want to face the tattoo machine. So they leave the place with the promise to reschedule the tattoo session, but when they're in the car, Rumi blurts out:
"I really don't want to get a tattoo."
Celine lets out a sigh of relief.
Why do I feel like this is the time Zoey drops the bomb of "but my turtle tattoo is okay still right?"
Everyone: "What?!?"
Zoey: 👉👈 😬 "Oh. So....."
(Not sure if the girls are together yet at this point, plus I feel like out of all the people to get a tattoo in this group it would be Zoey. *Grew up in the US where it's less of a stigma.* *Also ADHD impulse of oh this will be cool.* *Also you can get them at 16 in the US with parents permission.* Mira thinks they're cool, and wants to get one at some point.)
So first off I just wanted to say I have been enjoying The Alternate AU of Main Celine and Alt Celine just switching lives, and the crisis main Celine is having.
I'm just curious though do you think both Celine's like begin to recognize the others' strengths? I read a reblog where the main Celine goes "Oh my God this woman is pathetic and emotionally vulnerable!" and the Alt Celine goes "This woman sucks! I got the help I needed there is no excuse for this woman not too that's on her." and I'm just thinking
1.) Alt Celine had active support from other people and it still took her years to realize she needed help. So, Alt Celine needs to take a bit of a chill pill on that that yes, it's still on the individual to get help, but support makes a world of difference.
2.) Main Celine realizing that talking about your feelings really does help, and that Alt Celine is much braver than her, because she built this beautiful life without hiding who she is.
3.) Just thinking wow if these women could recognize each others struggles and accomplishments that would be really something.
(I don't know those have been the thoughts in my head lately about. I do seriously love what you guys put in the reblogs. *Chefs kiss* just personal thoughts from reading)
Second random suggestion
What if Main Celine from the mirror AU storyline gets switched with alt Celine?
Do you think she be more like "Shit! not again!" and just go "No! Nononono! No!" "I'm not dealing with this crap again!" (Meanwhile Mi-young off to the side wondering if Celine is having a mental breakdown?)
or she just play along a be like huh. This Celine's life is nice. nodding in approval.
Just thoughts. I do enjoy what you have been putting down.
For context: Dream to Nightmare (Part One & Part Two) and Mirror-Mirror
I love reading your thoughts, so thank you for sharing! Right now, I think none of the characters know what genre they're in: main!Celine thinks she might be tricked, or hallucinating, or have accidentally caused this, and the more she engages with this Rumi who calls her maman, this Miyeong who is alive and loves her openly, this world in which she has a family and everyone is safe and happy-- well, the more it hurts, those parts of her that have spent 25 years wishing for a miracle. Main!Celine is currently self-destructing by engaging with nice things that she knows she does not deserve, and then internally beating herself up about them.
Alt!Celine, though? Currently believes she's in the Mirror Verse. A world where her grief and untreated PTSD drove her to throw Rumi to the wolves. She doesn't know what main!Celine did to safeguard the girls, just sees the patterns on main!Rumi's face as proof of her failure/betrayal of Rumi.
(The Golden Honmoon was a profound act of love from all the Sunlight Sisters to Rumi. They genuinely thought it was Rumi's only chance to grow up without Gwi-Ma controlling her and turning her into a monster, and they dedicated themselves to accomplishing this one goal for Rumi. Main!Celine couldn't achieve it without Miyeong - fine, alt!Celine will conceal that. But she cannot act as though the scars those patterns have left all over Rumi's body has not been their worst nightmare.)
So it takes time for them to both realise that neither world is wholly perfect and both of them have become the person Rumi needed them to be.
After learning about Sunlight Entertainment, alt!Celine would begrudgingly concede that it isn't a million miles away from the devotion the SLS had when trying to turn the Honmoon gold. But that can't come from this Rumi or these girls right now - alt!Celine has convinced herself that they're just victims of Celine's gaslighting, and Rumi's her poor baby who doesn't even realise how badly she's being treated.
(All the alt!SLS baby Rumi and forget that she's grown up - they were just so scared for her when she was little, and Rumi and her patterns were the centre of their universe for years, so it's not easy for them to let go.)
Main!Celine might be inspired by her double's bravery. Or hey, maybe she just doubles down since what's the point if she can't be with Miyeong?
(That Rumi and her could be family, though? That there's space enough inside Rumi's heart for a second mother? Well. That's something to think about.)
As for blending with the Mirror verse? Ooohhh the horrors! DELIGHTFUL.
A lot of this depends in how the Celines swap places.
Scenario A: mirror!Celine and main!Celine swap, go back to their worlds, then main!Celine and alt!Celine swap
Agonies. Celine has already just had the most traumatising universe swap of her life, showing her a world where she abused Rumi, and then the universe puts her in the place of a Celine who had a Miyeong and whose Rumi loved her? What kind of lesson is she meant to take from that - that Celine is only good as long as she has Miyeong? That Rumi was never meant to be hers?
And alt!Celine wakes up with the most traumatised version of her daughter in mirror!Rumi - who says her Celine kept her in a kennel, who beat her and never gave her a name - and then mirror!Rumi is upset that alt!Celine has swapped places with main!Celine? Main!Rumi has to act quickly to talk alt!Celine down because she would definitely be trying to pull off the same interdimensional kidnapping main!Celine just did, but without having earned the trust of mirror!Rumi (because alt!Celine would be saying how sick and wrong and awful main!Celine would be, not realising mirror!Rumi came from another world).
Main!Celine would be more on edge - needing to check this world's Celine was controlled. If this is shortly after she gets back from the mirror universe, then she's at her most intense self-hatred and initially cannot believe in a world where there is a Celine deserving of nice things. She wouldn't let herself near Miyeong or the kids, other than to verify if they needed an escape, and would be laser-focused on getting back home to get this other Celine - a new threat - away from Huntr/x and mirror!Rumi.
But consider instead:
Scenario B: Simultaneous Swaps
Main!Celine goes to the mirror!verse, alt!Celine goes to main!verse and mirror!Celine goes to alt!verse.
Mirror!Celine is vindicated. Miyeong would have loved her, if that creature didn't kill Miyeong before getting the chance. Miyeong should have had a perfect human daughter, and in this universe that's exactly what they achieved - that's what Celine would have done for her Miyeong, if only Miyeong had survived. Mirror!Celine has the most fantastic time and tells herself that she has earned this, through her dedication.
alt!Celine reacts much the same as she's currently reacting now (thinking main!Celine is a callous monster). However this means main!Rumi cannot understand how bad it was when Celine returns with mirror!Rumi. The events of the mirror!verse were so horrific and traumatising for Celine, and mirror!Rumi has been abused so completely, that there are things the girls have to resign themselves to never knowing.

So, for my Journey Au universe where Celine and her friend travel and go into Celine's past of self exploration I had a funny thought on what would happen after the Journey.
Celine now doing a few more interviews and talking more about the past and her life. Gets asked a question of who is the most annoying person you know? and Celine without thinking, goes "The American" in reference to her friend Jaylin Johnson, but accidently causes a scandal with Huntr/x because they all assume she is referring to Zoey.
Celine didn't immediately realize the problem because she had a few more interviews and wasn't checking social media. Meanwhile Huntr/x is literally putting out statements saying its not Zoey. That is not who Celine is referring to. So, all day people are wondering who this secret American friend is or if it is Zoey. Until finally Celine gets notified of what's happening and makes a statement that its an old friend from her SLS days, and that if her friend had been willing she probably would have been the 4th member of SLS, but her friend was annoying and never said yes to joining them even though she covered for when one of them got too sick to preform. Which causes an even bigger internet chaos. Where Zoey tweets "Wait the rumors of a secret 4th member were true?" Celine replying back "Yes! You knew this, you have met her. She is Rumi's godmother for if I died."
So, there goes the drama of Celine confirming the secret 4th member and the internet trying to figure out who it is. When a random tweet appears 12hrs after the initial chaos is replying to Celine going (Professor Shaman) "Wait, I was/am Rumi's Godmother?"
Its been in my brain all day guys I needed to get it out. Hope you enjoy it.
Hey, I saw your thoughts for your pokemonxkpdh crossover and just wanted to say I think it's a cute idea.
But I was thinking, maybe instead of Flareon leaving it died with Mi-young. Trying to protect her, her Eevee, and baby Rumi. From Team Rocket (Team Daemon in this universe) while Celine was separated from them. Celine shows up just a little too late. but her pokemon did what Celine would have done. Mi-young's Eevee afterwards gets sick from grief and Celine does everything she can to save it, but not knowing if it's enough, and Mi-young's Eevee realizes that Celine needs it right now even though it's sad.
Just a few thoughts. it's been a while since I have seen anything about pokemon
Oh wow this is worse! Accepting this as canon to this AU immediately! 😈
Celine who buried her flareon with Miyeong. Who watched Miyeong's eevee sit at Miyeong's grave, fading away and getting sicker as it refuses to eat.
Celine who slowly coaxes it to eat the same time as she tries to get fussy Rumi to eat as well.
Celine who stays all night at Miyeong's grave because that's where Miyeong's eevee is and that's where Miyeong is and that's where her flareon is; wrapping Rumi up in thick blankets so she doesn't get cold but forgetting to take care of herself.
Eevee curling up next to Celine and beginning to stay in the hanok at night so Celine doesn't catch her death as the weather gets colder.
Celine, feeling guilt over her flareon's death, because she'd only ever viewed her bond with it as no deeper than a business relationship. It wasn't her flareon, not truly; just something the label assigned her the way it assigned costumes or sponsorships.
It wasn't like the bond other trainers had with their pokemon (trainers whose lives weren't ran by a board and whose souls weren't pledged to the Honmoon). She likes it, don't get her wrong, but...she doesn't miss it when they're apart. She's pretty sure it feels the same way (her flareon's a hard read; no it's not taking after her, Mi, flareon are just like that) (shut up, Mi)
Then it dies. It dies protecting what was most important to Celine, doing what she would have done if she had just been there.
The guilt burns.
(her foot kicks a wayward jingle ball one day; it wasn't her who found out they were the flareon's favorite, it was Third.
she can't remember the last time she played with it)
Then Mi's eevee shows up, appearing out of the shadows once the dust has settled, and starts wasting away on Mi's grave. Mi loved her eevee, doted on it like she had looked forward to doting on her baby, and the pitiful creature's eyes are dark as it presses itself to the earth, trying to get as close as it can to its departed trainer.
Celine failed Mi, failed her flareon, but dammit she won't fail this.
So she takes action, and gives it everything she neglected to give her flareon.
It barely drinks and eats, only doing so when the baby is needing food. Celine has been trying to coax it to eat more for days, but it just takes a few bites before it lays back down on the fresh dirt that is Mi-young's grave.
Celine understands she wishes she could join in, but then she hears the cry of a baby in her arms, and she is pulled out of her thoughts. It's late, at who knows what hour. The sky has gotten louder, it's gonna storm soon. Celine needs to put Rumi to bed, she will stay out with Eevee a little while longer after she gets Rumi settled. Rumi is too small to be catching a cold.
She gives Eevee a quick pay on the head to let it know her thoughts. She hopes it understands what she is going to do. As she gets up and heads to the hanok.
Eevee pays her little mind as Celine leaves, grateful to be finally left alone. It misses its trainer so much. If only it had evolved it would have been powerful enough to save her. Why couldn't it evolve? It feels the cold rain start to fall down on it. Not moving in the slightest as it gets soaked and muddy from where it's at.
Then all of a sudden it's ears twitch it hears a sound it sounds like it's trainer's voice singing! Eevee quickly stands up a wave of dizziness washing over it. As it steadies itself and looks into the shadows it hears it faintly.
Eevee runs to the shadows frantically. It's trainer is okay it has to be it hears her singing. Eevee stops as it approaches the darkest shadow. Her voice is coming from there, but Eevee doesn't smell her. It's at that moment a smile appears from the shadow with 2 red eyes looking down at it.

Imagining now that Mi-young's Eevee absolutely refuses to go back into its pokeball when Mi-young died, and still refuses after it chose Celine as its new partner and became Umberon.
Unfortunately though Umbreon has separation anxiety from Celine, so if Celine has to go to an event or anywhere and can't bring Umbreon with her. She has to call Rumi up to watch Umberon, so Umbreon doesn't cause chaos. I'm thinking there has been a few incidents in the past and the Umbreon is a natural escape artist.
The events Celine can't bring Umbreon to are few and far between, but Umbreon seems to hate this one particular pokemon and starts a fight with it every time when it's there.
If Umbreon is staying with the girls it will start trying to put the girls to bed if they stay up past 10. One time Umbreon stared at Zoey for 3hrs straight because it was past bedtime and Zoey needed to go to bed.
So I have been following your mirror AU and I have been really enjoying it. but I have been thinking about the aftermath of it for Celine and what it does to her PTSD. (I think most of the fandom agrees she has some form of PTSD)
Here are my thoughts for her normal PTSD symptoms/when it gets worse/was worse.
Her normal symptoms that the girls know about
1.) sleeplessness (Insomnia/night terrors) She started overworking because of that. and Rumi remembers a few nights where Celine scared herself awake.
2.) forgetting to eat - When Rumi was younger sometimes Celine would forget to eat/make dinner till Rumi reminded her. As Rumi got older it got better.
3.) Disassociation - Rumi remembers a time when she was really young when on the nights Celine couldn't sleep and Rumi woke up for whatever reason. She would find Celine sitting down on the couch with the TV on or at her desk and not responding to anything. Not even when Rumi would pinch Celine's hands. Those nights scared Rumi a lot and Rumi would curl up or by Celine's lap until she fell asleep. Rumi always woke up in her own bed in the morning.
Those symptoms have lessened over the years, except maybe the insomnia, and there is about a two week period every year where they tend to get worse.
For the new symptoms/what gets worse I'm thinking
1.) wringing of hands - I saw someone mentioned in a reblog that Celine killed her mirror self by drowning her. That is intense (and I feel like that's an understatement) so Celine is constantly ringing her hands because of it.
2.) I think the disassociation might make a comeback and get significantly worse after that and Celine will be disassociating in the middle of the day instead of at night. To the point when Huntr/x ask if anything is off about Celine, Sarang might mention that she stares into space a lot.
3.) Picking at her nails or lips. Celine told Rumi and the girls never to do that, it's not something an idol should do. I think it's one of the few signs where if Huntr/x is present they won't miss it.
4.) Night terrors where Celine actually injures while asleep. Maybe a hand shape bruise on her arm from squeezing her arm to hard or small scratches at her throat trying to make herself breathe.
And during those 2 weeks where Celine's symptoms always get worse every year. I think she is constantly in a state of Semi disassociation. She is not fully present and the not eating symptom is back, but the girls have found out that she will mimic them a little and actually eat some food. So, if Mira places an orange in her hand while she eats one herself Celine will follow. Celine doesn't really remember much about those 2 weeks, but she knows things happened.
Sorry if this is too long. My brain was just thinking about it and I knew if I didn't put it down I wouldn't get it out of my head. I would love to hear your thoughts on this and if there is anything you would like to add or change. I like reading y'all's riffs.
Anon anon anon I am kissing you on the forehead if you like that and offering you a beverage of your choice either way. We only do non-alcoholic but there is a wide variety otherwise
Celine isn’t a huge flashback person but she does get strong limbic system triggers (fight/flight/etc response)
Patterns are actually pretty low on the list, but there are a few smells, she hates being in the pitch dark (hey isn’t having your laptop out all the time a great way to battle living in the country?), people who remind her of certain demons (including uniformed postal workers unfortunately) and especially anyone who has similar speech patterns to Rumi’s dad are very much out
Also she sometimes gets really really frustrated and anxious in groups, especially if she feels like they’re being silly/vapid—don’t they know the world is fucked? This makes celebrity-type events absolute hell for her
Big in the paranoia and attempting to prepare things—look, she gets rhe Honmoon is mostly sealed, but can you let her stretch because if it tears and she tears a muscle, Ge going to be pissed? Yes she knows she’s going to be late
(They’re also practicing working on a lot of paranoia issues with Sarang (though hers are more “if I move I will get hit”) and she passes along the same tactics. Can we practice doing the thing you’re scared of and seeing what happens just for a little bit?)
Also @fakelawyerbug and I were literally just talking about her developing psychosis where she hears Miyeong’s voice telling her how much she’s hurt them and how awful she is so. There’s that!
I can definitely see her having dissociation issues—once she moves in with the girls again, they get to work on grounding tactics like pressure or warm drinks to hold (though. Limited range of teas. Haha turns out that one makes dissociation into a panic attack)
Night terrors, on the other hand, she’s very firm are a no contact time. At all

In the deadbeat Mi-yeong Au, I assume Celine trained Rumi at least a little before she met the other Sunlight Sisters, did they ever find her skills suspicious? Does Rumi know Mi-yeong is her biological mother? How well does Huntr/x get along? Does Rumi tell them about the patterns?
I have a LOT of thoughts about this Au
1. Celine trained Rumi the best she could in secret, not having a training yard and (for most of Rumi's childhood) not having the money to rent a space.
Miyeong and Third are surprised at how coordinated she is and how easily she takes to the training (Zoey and Mira took weeks of conditioning to be able to go through the basics).
Rumi uses farm work (they don't need to know it was a flower farm) and some martial arts classes as her excuse for everything.
Miyeong and Third buys the excuse for the moment, even if how Rumi moves and holds her sword is achingly familiar.
2. Rumi does not know Miyeong is her biological mother.
Celine publicly stated that Rumi was biologically hers (it protected Miyeong; it was legally the easiest way for her to make Rumi legally hers).
And after, Celine just...never told her. (And if she were to be honest with herself, she's scared that Rumi will reject her as her mother once she finds out. After all, don't all children love blood kin the most?)
3. The relationship between the girls is definitely more strained.
Zoey is an SLS fangirl and fell into the fandom rabbit hole of blaming Celine for the almost break up; Mira doesn't know anything about Celine and doesn't really care to defend her (plus she's close with Miyeong and Third)
So Rumi just feels like she's constantly biting her tongue when Celine comes up as a topic. And resents not being able to defend her mom like she wants to.
Pretty early on they come to a silent agreement to just...not talk about Celine around Rumi. Which kind of does help their relationship but also never addresses why Celine is such a sore topic for Rumi.
(Rumi eventually gives enough details about her childhood that they figure that the single mom angle is a sore spot)
4. Rumi does tell them about the patterns when they find out about Celine.
Because Miyeong and Third's framing of the situation has always been "Celine left with a demon" and that's why they're so upset about the betrayal.
Mira being the first to figure out that Rumi is Celine's kid. Mira notices things, and Mira has/had more of a blank slate than Zoey or her mentors on the whole Celine situation.
When she first joined she would agree with them with what happened with Celine even joining in on it. (she was trying to bond.) Her mentors sounded pretty betrayed by Celine, and with her only knowing one side of what happened she can only form her opinions off of that bias.
However, when they first meet Rumi she can tell right off the bat after watching her interaction with Zoey about it, that she didn't agree with it. She even said something to back Zoey up about it and noticed Rumi's expression darkened for a second. After that interaction she never personally brought it up again to Rumi or join Zoey and their mentors in the Celine bashing.
When it came out that Rumi was raised by a single mom who was in a similar situation like Celine well Mira honestly couldn't blame her. Even if she did miss that subtle flinch Rumi did when their mentors said that the baby was half demon and Celine put the Honmoon in jeopardy.
Still though Mira began to think about it a little more. Honestly, with how her relationship with her parents is, she actually is a little jealous of how that child got chosen like that by Celine. Like, seriously Mira knows that the SLS could have probably dropped the child off at the orphanage and it wouldn't ever be linked back to them, and the fact Celine still chose it even though it was part demon. Like that's a level of want that Mira wishes she had a fraction of growing up.
So, she can understand from Rumi's perspective on why she gets upset whenever Celine gets brought up. She even has a conversation with Zoey about it, and basically helps Zoey understand it as well. So, both girls back off immediately about it and start supporting Rumi when it gets brought up.
The day she figured it out though was when the girls were in the city Rumi grew up in and they just happened to have run into Celine. While she is a retired hunter she still dealt with the demons in the city, a hunter never truly retires. Celine is helping them with these particular demons and Mira notices how Rumi and her act around each other, like they are putting on a play for them.
Then it clicks when she sees the way both hunters hold themselves, how they both react to certain things, how Rumi said something that Mira knows is Rumi trying to make a joke and Celine laughs at it. In that moment Mira wants to confront them both, but then she remembers how Celine interacted with her and Zoey and there really wasn't any judgement. She answered all of Zoey's questions about her life, being a hunter, how she used to write her songs, and raising her daughter. And Celine never got mad or tired of the questions, as a matter of the only questions she didn't really answer were about her child. Celine just politely put a stop to it and said she would be more than happy to answer all of her questions, but she didn't want to share her daughter's privacy. She even helped Mira figure out a few new skills she was struggling with and honestly had an amazing discussion about Mira choreography, it made Mira feel seen.
So, she doesn't bring it up. She is even the one to suggest to her teammates that they don't tell their mentors that they met Celine. It's only months later when Rumi seems extra stressed about something and is being cagey about it, does Mira bring it up away from Mi-yeoung and Third. and Rumi is shocked and she is about to flip out more before Mira goes "Rumi I have known since the day we met her. You two are almost the exact same person." and Rumi a little indignant and caught off guard goes, "No we are not, I have much better jokes than her!"
So I have been reading your Mi-yeoung leaves AU and it got me thinking about a few things.
1.) (This is probably more of a statement) Celine to some degree probably resents the SLS more than she realizes, because they basically told her to take care if the problem. (aka Rumi) So, I can just imagine Celine sitting on a chair staring at baby Rumi thinking of what she is going to do. (She already knows, but still she is thinking it through) and I think it surprises Mi-yeoung and Third when Celine decides she will take the baby. "Like Celine? You are our leader your suppose to make the hard decisions?" And Celine has made hard decisions before with them, for them, but like how dare you put the decision/the expectation on Celine for how to handle the half demon baby. (And like in my mind they might have thought Celine would solve the issue permanently, so they wouldn't have the blood on their hands. They wouldn't have to deal with the guilt. Celine choosing to raise Rumi and claim her as her own surprised them/ they wonder if she had gone insane.) So, I think Celine resents them more than she realizes because, how dare they think she could do that. How dare they abandon something so innocent, and who has turned out to be wonderful. How dare they put it all on her, and act hurt. How dare they!
2.) I think it would be an interesting idea if in this AU Celine actually became a florist. Broke for a Celebrity is different than being broke for a regular person. Celine basically has enough money to last her 5 years if she is smart. I do think with this huge scandal it will be hard for Celine to find a job for a while, especially with a new baby. So, Celine buys a old building and renovates it the top part/roof is like a greenhouse, Her and Rumi live on the Second floor, and the bottom floor is the flower shop. It basically uses up a lot of her money, but after about 3 years of struggling the business starts succeeding. They live in a city and Celine goes by her Korean name, one she hasn't used until now. Celine teaches Rumi how to garden and what each flower means, and this business is just a quite little sanctuary for them.
3.) With Celine being a florist I imagine that one of the ways she would communicate with Rumi is by sending her flowers to like an concert or event specifically just so Rumi would know Celine is okay and when Rumi was doing hunters training on Jeju. Celine would send flowers to a specific grave to let Rumi know she was okay as well.
These are just some thoughts on the AU because I really like how it puts their relationship into a different perspective.
1.
Genuinely yes.
Celine, queen of repression, has told herself that raising Rumi and taking the fall was *her* choice and that she doesn't begrudge Miyeong and Third for their success and the statements they made about her (and continue to make about her because there always seems to be at least one "journalist" who will bring her up).
And she's fooled herself into believing it.
But she doesn't listen to their music anymore, avoids Sunlight Entertainment groups like the plague, and has to stop herself from clenching her jaw when she sees them on the tv.
(But it's fine. She's fine. This was her choice.)
2.
Oooh yes. I was trying to think of what Celine could be doing.
Florist/gardener Celine my beloved.
Now I think Celine is probably smart with money and fairly frugal with it. But, emergencies happen. Starting a new company costs money, there's overhead, there's surprise expenses that Celine didn't know about. Good years and bad years.
So I like to think financially, things didn't become stable until Rumi was old enough to understand what "struggling" meant and things didn't become good until she was in high school.
(Rumi is old enough to quietly resent Miyeong and Third for never helping their "sister")
3.
Instead of sending flowers directly, she has post cards dropped off. All without a return address and all without any actual words. But always with drawings of flowers.
(The girls are confused but hey, it's harmless enough and the artist is talented.
Rumi likes that they started a wall collage with her mom's postcards.)
(Totally not inspired by Fringe or anything *whistle*)
For Celine being a florist she has a few loyal customers that figured out who she is but never brought it up and supported her even during hard times.
You have Mr and Mrs. Han. Mr Han buys flowers from Celine for his wife once a week. They both know who Celine is for the song they danced to at their wedding was one Celine wrote and was the main vocalist for. They didn't like how the label treated Celine when they got word of what happened. when they discovered her flower shop one day, They immediately became some of Celine's most loyal customers. Even though Mr. Han's allergies always get set off.
There is Lady Kim her daughter was a fan of the sunlight sister's and she was a single mother herself so she understands the hardship and the judgement. She works/worked at a funeral home and Celine became a frequent supplier for her.
Mr. Lee grew up listening to the Sunlight sisters, but the songs he really liked were the old ones that featured Celine. When he came across her flower shop while he was in Highschool he started to buy some flowers averaging once every 2 weeks. He mainly sends them to his mother, but every now and then he will give them to a random woman on the street to make their day.
Those 4 are the ones who interact with Celine the most and really helped Celine through some hard times. As a matter of fact when Rumi was starting to get into some trouble the group would watch out for her and help her get out.
I was at a local Christmas lights viewing earlier and overheard a dad telling his baby that it was time to go and the baby's response? "Goodnight colors! Love you!" I about died on the spot.
Hayoung, Vivienne, Cece and now Myungsoo? God, we need a crossover au where somehow all the kids end up with canon Huntrix (post-movie) through multiverse shenannigans - Hayoung having to be an unnie/noona to three technically siblings, Vivienne and Cece being confused and insisting they're the maknae (because they are, at least in their respective universes), Myungsoo, the only child, having to get used to having 3 sisters, Rumi losing her mind because what do you mean she's the Appa of all these kids and made them with her girls? And I don't know if it's funnier if Mira and Zoey are equally astonished or just go "yeah, that tracks" about having Rumi's kids
Why can I imagine Celine coming in the morning to go over a few things with Hunter/x seeing the 4 children getting immediately called Halmoni and backing the f out of the room. Calling Rumi to see if what she saw was real? and when did Rumi have a kid?
Celine freezing upon seeing the 4 children.
the kids waving with juice boxes in their hands "Hi Halmoni!"

Here is a part 2 of my Color Au Headcannons. For those who haven't read the first 2, basically Celine can't see Color only shades of gray she has Monochromacy.
(I am bringing the Huntr/x mothers into this and I have an Idea for something in the future, but I just want to establish relationships and how they got to that point.)
MIRA
Mira has tetrachromacy where she can see a lot more colors than the average person. It has defiantly help her be the stylist of the group.
Mira's mother got a divorce from her father the year Mira turned 22.
During that time Mira's mother worked on herself, and a little after the Idol awards were everything came out with Rumi. Mira's mother reached out.
They have been working on their relationship over the past 2 years.
Mira refers to mom by her first name "Aera"
basically Mira's mother changed a lot in those two years and is essentially a different person. They have worked on their relationship a lot, and there has been a lot of crying and apologizing.
Zoey
Zoey's mother is Korean and her father is American
Zoey started to go to therapy with her mom after the Idol Awards/ She kind of went "we are doing this Mom! See you at 6"
Zoey's mother is Ji woo Choi but she tends to go by Jennifer Choi. It just depends on how she was introduced.
Zoey tends to refer to her mother as "Mom, Ma, Motherboard, Mothership, Eomma, omma, and many other things. When Zoey's mother is in trouble with her she tends to call her "Mother."
Zoey has the best Human eyes in the group. "The Demon eyes don't count Rumi."
Rumi
Huntr/x started to talk to their mothers and tried to fix their relationships with them, as a weird way to show support when Rumi and Celine were going through their issues.
Rumi and Celine both stated they didn't have to do that multiple times.
When Rumi's demon side started to come out more, she gained the ability to see in the dark unfortunately she can only see shades of gray in the dark.
She did notice that the Honmoon looked different when using that type of vision, and it made her wondered if this is what Celine sees all the time? (The Honmoon was brighter and everything seemed to be on fire.)
It is unclear if Rumi has tetrachromacy. basically the girls can't figure out if she can actually see more colors or not because of who she was raised by.
Celine
When the Girls created the new Hoonmoon, they discovered that the colors meant certain things, about how well the Honmoon was doing.
So, they have been figuring out what the colors mean with Celine, and have come to the realization that if Celine knew her colors/see them she might have been able to actually help the Honmoon more.
Celine can see the souls of people. She could see the souls of other hunters but with the new Honmoon she can see everyone's soul.
One of the reasons Celine told Rumi to cover up was because Rumi looked like a walking, talking glowing Flashlight to her because of her patterns and kind of went down an anxiety spiral of what would happen to Rumi, because how can you explain away glowing marks. (they weren't glowing all the time, but she didn't know that.)
Rumi has always had patterns but Celine just thought they were a grey birthmark, until one day they started glowing. (That was when the Honmoon claimed Rumi.)
The Third Sunlight sister didn't die fighting demons or leave Celine because of what Rumi was. She died in a car crash when Rumi was about 5.
Saja demons cannot hide from Celine even in their human disguises because, she could always see the glow of their patterns. Its why Mi-yeoung never introduced Celine to Rumi's father. She was afraid Celine would attack him on sight.
The Girls love teaching Celine about colors, It was actually how Rumi and Celine managed to start talking Celine would ask her what certain colors were and what they meant. (She actually asked if all the colors flowing around and in Rumi's patterns hurt. Rumi was so confused she knew her patterns had taken on a iridescent color to them. but Celine was like, "No? There are multiple colors flowing through you patterns, Kind of like .. a ...lava lamp?" Rumi "?????????" C- "I like it! I like it! its just that the color before it always seemed to hurt." Rumi "The color Purple?" C- "No, no, the one that was like pink and red?" Rumi "They never hurt." C- "but they always seemed like they were screaming?" Rumi "What?")
Welp hope you all have a good day, feel free to comment or ask me any questions. See ya!
So this is a part 2 of my Journey AU with my OC character the back up hunter who I have finally figured out the name for. Jaylin Johnson aka JJ, Jay, or Aunty J. More of a Download of her.
Jaylin's power is the ability to teleport. I believe all of the hunter's powers can mimic demons, so Jaylin can teleport like one.
She is a few years younger than Celine in her Mid to late 40's
She has undiagnosed ADHD. (It was Mira who figured out she might have ADHD, Lets just say it was a weird 30 mins of her just watching Jaylin and Zoey in the same room. They weren't even doing the same thing, but things just clicked.)
She travels the world a lot at first it was to find the next generation of hunters (huntr/x) now she is just trying to find that generations back up hunter.
Jaylin is Korean American her father was a US airman stationed in Seoul when he met her mother.
She unfortunately has the tendency to drop off the face of the earth and reappear again at random. Its why she isn't around during the Idol Awards.
Another cool thing that back up hunters have once they are activated is that they have a tracking sense of other hunters. Its accurate in about a 4 block radius.
When she was helping Celine with Rumi she would make their lunches. and put little notes in their lunch boxes. For Rumi's it was normally "Have a Bear-y good day!" "You are a good care bear. Love you."
Celine's notes rotated between "Have a good day! Love you." to "$#$##$% I will fight you"
Her and Celine's relationship is one of they love each other but they will throw down.
Jaylin also made cards with train facts on them to give/put in Rumi's lunches. (Think Pokémon cards and Magic the gathering type cards.)
When Mira and Zoey came to train and live with Celine, Jaylin would do the same lunch notes and card thing with them when she was around.
Mira's cards were hot pepper facts and food recipes. for Zoey it was turtle facts.
(She keeps an extra set on her just so she knows what she has done already the girls don't know this.)
Jaylin rivals Celine with the overworked/no sleep agenda.
Celine's skill in hand to hand combat is terrifying. Jaylin's skill in strategic thinking/planning is terrifying.
The girls learned this when a demon somehow took control of Celine and Rumi. Mira and Zoey went and found Jaylin and discovered if she has 5 mins prep time, She can probably take out a small army.
The girls training with Jaylin in Strategic thinking involves a lot of games. The girls have only come to a draw against her when working together. Their individual scores is.
Mira 0 - Jaylin 475
Rumi 0 - Jaylin 478
Zoey 1 - Jaylin 473 (No one knows how Zoey won, not even Zoey.)
Celine 100 - Jaylin 1000
Bobby 1 - Jaylin 1
Celine asks Jaylin to be Huntr/x go to while she figures out some things after the Idol awards.
Man I have more thoughts about Jaylin that I am going need to write down another list. Feel free to ask any questions about Jaylin or the Journey AU in general.
