I just love Stan’s “fake confidence” He’s lived his whole life like that, and honestly, without it, I don’t think he could’ve survived. That fake confidence is literally what kept him alive.
His twin is an actual insane genius, while he himself isn’t even close to average — just a complete dumbass. The only thing he ever believed in was his relationship with his twin, and then he gets abandoned by his brother, his dad, kicked out of his house, ends up homeless with absolutely no one. And what keeps him going? That fake confidence.
Because he has that fake confidence, he can travel all over the country scamming people, committing crimes and shit lmao. Of course, that same stubborn, delusional self-confidence (aka pride) also ends up trapping him…(“No, I don’t need anyone. I’ll get fucking rich all by myself.”) Except that goal is ultimately about being able to be with his family again. Fuck.
