Lovey readerâŁď¸ who always uses your pinkies to âsecretlyâ hold hands with him. But then gets impatient an wants more contact so you slither your fingers between his or wrap them around his arm. He loves that you always want to be in contact with him.
It starts with your pinkies. Youâre sitting beside him on the jet, (the seat across from his was taken. You always sat across from him to link your ankles together. ) neither you, nor him were walking, your hand felt suspiciously empty. That longing and tingling within your palms growing more and more each moment it was empty. Each moment you were not in physical contact with Spencer.
Your hand begins to drift. Wandering over the leather of the jet sears, across the arm rest and into his personal bubble. He had like a sixth sense when someone came too close to him. It was adorable and so him, when he steps back to reclaim his bubble. But when you popped it, he looked up, eyes alit in curiosity.
His eyes tracking the moment of your hand. You slowed down the movement of your hand. Teasingly inching it closer to his arm. Walking your two forefingers up and down his arms, and dragging your pinky on his sleeve. He bumped his shoulder with yours, forcing your eyes to meet his. He was pouting. Your boyfriend. Pouting. Over not being able to touch you. Who hates physical touch.
You loved this side of him. Reaching out you link your pinkies together. He rubbed his free fingers up and down the back of your hand. Then you got impatient. It was enough. You want to crawl in his skin. But since it was impossible to do so and you like your boyfriend alive, you slither your fingers between his. They were cold, and a bit clammy, but they were his. And you loved him. From the tips fo his fingers to the tips of his toes.
Spencer melts every time. Even when heâs used to it, and heâll unconsciously extend his pinkie out towards yours. He could be doing anything, even reading and without looking up he will wiggle his pinkie at you if heâs feeling needy and clingy.
You nearly combust.

Lovey readerâŁď¸who always has her body turned toward him. He learns to love how your body shows how much you mean to him.
You donât even realize you do it. If Spencer was in the room, your feet would shift towards him. Shoulders pointed in his direction. If youâre sitting in a group, hanging out with the team, your chair is angled toward him.
Someone asks you a question from across the room and you turn your head to answer themâ youâre not a brute. Your body however, remains angled toward Spencer.
Every.
Time.
It wasnât long before the team noticed. Well the rest of the team. Spencer still was oblivious. He was a great profiler, of course he noticed that you do it, but that little thought in his mind, that evil and sick voice, whispered about how it couldnât have been related to attraction. He couldnât believe that someone would love him that much for their body to literally show it.
But when it clicks that its a natural thing, something you dont even notice your doing. He gets so unbearably shy about it. The cutest pink blush flaming his cheeks. (How i long to bite them.) It sets off something within you. When he does finally come to the fact that it is natural. Not something youâre forcing. It reassures him. Very deeply.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Lovey readerâŁď¸ Whoâs always glancing at Spencer, or straight up staring and admiring him. He gets butterflies when he catches you staring. He gets embarrassed and does a cute little wave.
You always notice that your eyes flick to Spencer many times a day. Something you thought would dissipate when you got out of the honeymoon phase, newsflash it didnât. When ever you heard his voice, your eyes or head would turn in its direction. Looking for him.
Itâs not like you were creepy about it. Most of the time. there were times where your eyes chased the shard edge of his jaw. Oh you loved seeing his jaw clench in frustration or annoyance. If you were a brat youâd purposefully piss him off just to see it. It was mouthwateringly attractive seeing the muscles clench. Ugh.
Anyways, You loved the way he spoke, how his fingers would wiggle in emphasis, or wander when his mind did. Even the constant fidgeting and rubbing was the most adorable thing to you. You loved guessing in your mind what he would fidget with next on dates.
The way his eyebrows are so expressive when heâs explaining something. The way he gets excited about bizarre facts. How he brushes and muses with his hair.
What you didnât know, is that you werenât slick about it.
He knew. Of course he did.
To him, more often than not he caught you. Something he didnât reveal. He would keep doing his thing, a small smile listing his lips and maybe the tips of his ears and cheeks heating up.
But eventually he does make it known. One day he catches your eyes. This time he wasnât expecting you to be staring soâŚ. Openly. Your full attention on him. He pauses mid-sentence. A small embarrassed smile appears on his face. He lifts his hand and gives you a little wave.
A WAVE
you could just eat this man up. He goes back to his file. and you keep staring.
Obviously.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Lovey reader âŁď¸ Who makes sure to remember everything about him. From little things to large things. You have a journal in a nightstand with a little lock on, it filled with notes of him. He feels so giddy every time you remember something.
You remember everything. Not because you ave an eidetic memory like Spencer, but because you have your own method. A small journal with a lock on it. In your pocket a little key that opens it. It is absolutely FILLED with notes on Spencer. From his favorite books, to tea. Which sweater is the softest and most comfortable to him. Which brands he likes. The exact way he likes his coffee. How he likes is food. The list goes on.
On a red sticky note is a revised version of an obscure fact he once mentioned six months ago.
He finds out you remember something he said once, a few months ago, he genuinely didnât expect you to remember and he justâŚ
Lights up.
He asks how you remember, a small, surprised smile on his face
You just shrug.
You say⌠âbecause you told me.â
Like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
He discovers the journal one day.

Lovey reader âŁď¸ Who melts your praise.
Who blushes so hard when you say heâs âso good,â or whisper, âIâm so proud of you,â maybe add in a, âgood job baby..â
He looks at you like you hung the moon. Because Spencer is used to being valued for what his brain can do. But you are proud of him because he is.
not his usefulness, not for his intelligence, (while it is very attractive how he whispers statistics and other obscure knowledge into the long kisses you share. Very satisfied with how he moans against your lisp when you nibble on is bottom lip to shut him up. )
Anyways, your proud of justâŚ
Him.
Whoâs whimpers are muffled against your shoulder as he listens to you praise him as you stroke his hard on. Whoâs stuck sobbing as he pumps uselessly against your hands. Who cums as you whisper how good he is at âusingâ your hands fo his own pleasure. (Wow. Im ovulating can you tell.)
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Lovey reader âŁď¸ who always allows him to use your stomach as his favorite pillow.
At first you thought it was weird. Why would he want to listen to the squelches and rumbles of your stomach as it fulfills its duty of digesting your food. But to Spencer, who discovered that the plush of your stomach was apparently the most comfortable place on earth, didnât mind the noises or the rumbles.
More of than then not, if your lying down together, he will absolutely migrate there. Resting his head against you while his arms loosely settle around your waist. Sometimes he even tucks them under your back, hugging you closer. Heâll press sleepy kisses against your stomach, before settling down.
Like a dog doing their circling before resting in their nest.
His hands if not still and behind your back, squeezing your little pockets of flesh, they will be doing something absentmindedly. If your on your period, heâll gently kneed into your stomach, head resting and providing pressure for your cramps. Gently queening your sides in a random rhythm.
The most important part. He falls asleep almost immediately. Most times Spencer struggles to sleep. Plagued by many things, from nightmares to insomnia. He can and is used to surviving on little to no sleep, is somehow completely passed out the second heâs comfortable against you. Which unfortunately means, he drools on you.
The cutest quirk you noticed when he first fell asleep near or on you, is that heâs a drooler. The first time you saw it, he was so embarrassed when he woke. It must have been the best sleep of his life, because he says he doesnât normally drool.
So, on occasion, youâll glance down and find him passed out, hair messy, cheeks squished against you, with the smallest, or on other cases whole puddles, of drool. Quickly ad quietly. Youâll wipe it away. He doesnât even wake up.
On other occasions, when necessary, you two will have to pull all nighters at the BAU. You however get tired earlier than him, and make yourself comfortable against the break room couch. Spencer longing for some physical attention, will wander over, find you in a vulnerable position, and make himself comfortable against your stomach.
Heâs even done it on occasion on the Jet (providing your on cases) where heâs tired and uncaring about how the team will notice when he settles against your stomach.
There are a few occasions in both locations where the team has caught you and Spencer snuggling together.
You underneath him. Spencer sprawled out over you. One arm around your waist, his face buried against you. Dead asleep. The entire team stops and stares.
Theyâre so tired of you two.
Affectionately of course.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Lovey reader âŁď¸ Project Hail Mary.
You and Spencer both loved the movie and book of Project Hail Mary with you.
After ward you buy him the shirt as both a joke, and you wanted to see how he would react to it. The one that says: âI had potentialâ
Spencer laughs when you give it to him. He puts it on that night, and then wears it every night. Every time he smiles at it and thinks itâs so funny when he thinks about it scientifically.
Science puns were a fan favorite.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Lovey reader âŁď¸ The sacred hair time.
Spencer loves when you play with his hair while heâs on your stomach.
It will start like this, Heâll lay down on your lap or his favorite, your stomach, and he will let you braid the strands. Unbraid it. Try a different style, then take that one out. Sometimes if he showered recently, youâll wear gloves to prevent it from getting too greasy.
He doesnât care. Heâs content lying there while your fingers move through his hair. He could be reading, though it will be put away by you when he starts to fall asleep. Especially when you start massaging your head.
The second your fingertips start working against his scalp, his eyes close. Entire body relaxing. Sometimes heâll mumble something incoherent, other times heâll just go completely quiet. And if you happen to continue to run your fingers through his hair afterward? Heâs putty in your lap.
Heâll even let you scrunch some curling cream in his waves, to reduce the frizz. You like it, finding him so cute, but you know he doesnât like the process, so its only in times like these where heâll let you curl them, if only if you reward him with whispered praises or more fingers running through his hair.
Youâve created a sassy monster, who will grunt, whine, and wiggle until you let in and either massage him or play with his hair. He doesnât whine and pout to lay on your stomach, he just slots himself there and manhandles you if necessary. He doesnât like things coming between him and his scheduled tummy time.

Garcia noticed the construction well before anyone else.
âWhat do you mean theyâre taking my office?â She demanded from the hallway, hands planted onto her hips as two contractors wheeled another cart of equipment past her.
âIts not your office,â the Morgan stated, leaning back against the wall with the grin of a man who knows what heâs about to say and the impact it will have. âItâs the FBIâs office.â
âIt became mine when I decorated it. Added my own pizazz. And my nicnacks.â She clenched her fists and shook them dramatically in the air. The attachment to her office was painfully obvious.
âItâs a glorified storage room, Baby girl.â She smacked a hand over his chest, offense plastered on her face as she glared up at him. âIt is my glorified storage room,â she mockingly seethed.
Morgan smirked down at her, as he leaned against the wall. Tossing another teasing remark that earned an even louder gasp from Garcia. She shoved his shoulder this time, pointing an accusatory finger at him while he laughed. Completely unbothered by her rising annoyance. The playful bickering continued in the background, drawing the occasional curious glance from passing agents.
With a soft ding, the elevator doors slide open. Hotch stepped out, a manila folder tucked under one arm, walking directly into the middle of the squabble.
Listening to her complaints and whines of people invading her cozy cove, and manhandling her precious items and knickknacks.
âTheyâre turning it into a storage room,â Hotch cleared his throat. âYou will be relocated to a larger workspace directly across from the new forensic laboratory.â He continued walking towards his office, gesturing to the newer glass-front room. Full of people wheeling in and installing expensive looking machines, tech, and all sorts of other things.
Looking back at Morgan and Garcia he shrugs, âconstruction started last week.â

Instance 1) Fibers.
Your first day wasnât anything crazy. Which, honestly, was unexpected. After being hired as the BAUâs Forensic liaisonâand by extension, their forensic generalist. You like to jokingly call your position the special forensic liaison.
Maybe you'd have expected Profilers crowding around corkboards covered in red string, pinning photos and theories together until someone put the pieces together enough to describe someone. As always, the movies had lied.
Instead you were handed a lab. A really cozy lab, one youâve always dreamed of. Which smelled of fresh paint and stainless steel. Every drawer had a label, every machine had its place. The evidence lockers were empty, as of now, due to the evidence being organized and stacked on your desk.
Narcotics seized by a department a few miles down the road. A blood sample shipped in from two states over, that needed DNA confirmation. A muddy pair of boots from the West Coast with pollen trapped in the tread, just waiting for someone to identify where exactly theyâd been.
Your noisy office neighbor Penelope Garcia barely made it through the first week before she appeared in your doorway, leaning against the frame with a grin.
âYâknow,â she smirked, watching as you produce the exact evidence bag she had called for not even thirty seconds ago. âYouâre like some sort of⌠forensic fairy.â
Ever since that day the nickname stuck.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
It also didn't take long to notice something else. No one challenged Dr Spencer Reid, Or corrected for that matter.
It wasnât out of arroganceânever Spencer was too shy, too gentlemanly. The man was just always⌠right. Constantly.
He rattled off statistics, historical facts, obscure scientific principles, behavioral patterns, and even made up math equations for when to fold in poker. Like a man who knew heâd already checked his work three times before actually speaking it aloud.
No one interrupted. No one corrected him. No interruptions. Never once a muttered, *âactuallyâŚâ*
That was until your first case. There wasnât anything ceremonious about it. It was like any other day, running evidence. Fibers, gloves, fingerprints galore!
By the time the team had finished the initial briefing and boarding the jet. Your lab looked like Christmas morning. Thatâs if Christmas came wrapped in evidence tape instead of sparkly wrapping paper.
Youâd already moved from the comparison microscope to the trace evidence bench, your gloves dusted with blue fingerprint powder from an earlier request before switching back to fibers. Somewhere in the middle of it all, Garcia poked her head through your lab door.
âHello my forensic fairy.â
You looked up to smile at her, âwhat can i do for my favorite neighbor?â
She smiled back, sliding a cup of what you knew to be your favorite drink across your desk. âThe team will need whatever youâve got.â
âTell âem Iâm working on it.â You thank her before turning back to your microscope.
âI know,â Garcia mumbled, leaning against the doorway. She watches as you juggle three different tests without looking the slightest bit overwhelmed. âYou always are.â With that she left with a grin.
You took a sip from the cup, smiling at the taste that never seemed to get old. A few moments later, the fibers finally began to make sense.
Well⌠that's interesting.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Several states away, the team had finished laying out the profile for the local detectives.
âGiven the transfer evidence," Dr. Reid explained, âthe victim was most likely transported in either a compact sedans or an SUV.â
Hotchâs phone vibrated, when glancing down the contact âFORENSICS LIAISONâ flashed back at him. With a raised hand the entire room quieted. âOur forensic liaison has more information.â
He pressed the answer button, âGo ahead, you're on speaker.â There was a faint him in the machinery in the background before your voice came through, calm and focused.
âSorry to interrupt. I just finished the trace analysis on the upholstery fibers.â
âYouâve got us,â Hotch responded.
âSo the profile isnât wrong, based on what Garcia told me was happening. However it is incomplete and that could mess things up. The fibers recovered from the victim don't belong to a compact sedan or SUV. Theyâre a premium wool-cashmere blend that almost exclusively are used in luxury vehicles. Think, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Maserati⌠manufacturers in that class.â
A few detectives exchanged glances with each other. Spencer frowned, listening carefully.
âHowever,â you continued, âthose fibers arenât related to the murder itself. It was a transfer after death.â
There was a brief pause before one of the local detectives frowns. he spoke up, ââŚWhat do you mean after death?â
You took a breath, âThe fibers couldn't have been deposited while the victim was alive.â You explained your tone patient but matter-of-fact. âThe autopsy places the time of death several hours before those fibers were introduced. Lividity had already become established, and the transfer patterns donât match someone sitting or moving under their own weight.â
You shifted another evidence bag onto your workbench as you spoke into the phone. âIf the victim had been alive in that vehicle, weâd expect compression patterns, different trace distribution, and biological transfer consistent with movement. Instead, the fibers are concentrated only at the bodyâs contact points. Thus proving that they were deposited when the body was already deceased. Now, are there any more questions?â
Silence answered over the phone. Before anyone could interrupt, you continued. âSo whoever killed the victim isnât necessarily the person who drove the luxury vehicle.â
Dr. Reid stared ahead. Processing silently. A soft, ââŚwhat?â Slipped out before he could stop it. Not dismissive.
Just⌠Genuinely caught off guard.
âthe body was moved twice,â you clarified.
âNo,â Reid blinked once, almost shaking himself from his thoughts. âWe heard you the first time.âHe rubbed the back of his neck, still staring at the floor plan spread across the table.
The room stayed quiet. And from over the phone you let out a breath, it sounded like you deflated. âOh. Okay that's good⌠It saves me a breathâ
Morgan let out a chuckle from beside Hotch. Emily pressed her lips together and looked away.
Rossi softened as he spoke into the air, âWeâre looking for two vehicles.â
âCorrect,â you replied. âIll send the finalized report in about five minutes. Through email. Iâm running one last confirmation, but I don't expect anything miraculous to happen.â
âGood work,â Hotch grunted out.
The call ended. For a brief second, nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Only Dr. Reid remained staring at the now-dark phone screen.
âSo⌠W- ahem. Who is our forensic liaison?â
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Instance 2) Blood pattern analysis.
You stared at the crime scene photos for another few seconds. Everything looked right. Too right. The team mentioned drawbacks and the crime scene showed blowblack and sprays of blood. Something about it was⌠missing. Some creepy feeling tingled up your spine. The blood pooling, impact splatter, passive flow, everything was set like a stage. waiting for the cameras to start capturing.
Everything agreed with one another⌠which is what bothered you. You frowned at the photographs once more before lightly rapping your knuckle on the shared wall between your lab and Garciaâs office. This was a habit the two of you had picked up somewhere around the third month working across from each other. It became a way of announcing your presence before you go into her office.
Rolling your chair away from the workbench, you used your feet to shuffle across the hall into Garciaâs Cozy Coveâ˘
She was already on the phone. Mumbling into her headset, ââŚYeah, Iâm looking at it right now,â her fingers dancing across the key board. Through the headset, you could faintly make out someone, likely Agent Morgan with how much he calls her, talking.
Garcia looked up when she saw you, her face brightening. âWell hello my gorgeous Forensic Fairy, what can I do for you?â
âHey love,â without missing a beat, she covered the microphone with one hand and effectively cut off her conversation with the team. No doubt they could now only hear you two mumbling.
âWhatcha need honey?â Her tone taking on something more serious.
You waved it off and watched her relax. âNothin much, just a hunch. Do you happen to have the number for the CSI supervisor working the team's case? They should be with the team now if Iâm not wrong.â You glanced at your watch, the face shimmering gold.
One blonde brow rose, ââŚwhy would you need that?â She asked quietly. âHmm?â
You threw a glance toward your lab. Toward the photographs. âJust a hunch.â
Garcia stared at you for half a second, then she smiled. âIll have it emailed to you ASAP.â She smiled, popping the p. You gave her shoulder an appreciative squeeze as you shuffle your chair back to your lab, already mentally piercing together your next steps.
The conference room at the cases local department was quiet. Over the speaker, Morgan was the first to speak, ââŚBaby girl?â
âHm?â She hummed.
âWhat was that about?â He poked.
Garcia watched you scoot back into the confines of your lab before turning her attention back to the call.
âI don't know,â she admitted with a grin. âBut I think the Fairyâs on a trail.â
ââŚThe Fairy?â Emily echoed.
âour residential Forensic Fairy,â Garcia corrected. there was a beat of silence across the room. Garcia could feel the judgmental stare from Hotch and hear the resounding sigh from Rossi.
âEvery time she says, âJust a hunch,â somebodyâs theory gets flipped upside down. Expect a call should she find anything.â Garcia giggled out, twirling her feather tipped pen around her fingers, as she lounged in her chair.
Across the hall you called the CSI team and asked for a favor.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
âI've got a reactionâ was attached to the email along with several photos. The luminol glowing a brilliant blue beneath where the body had been laying.
Transfer indicating and holding the pattern of liquid being wiped away. In this case blood. Someone had cleaned blood before putting down the body and creating the final scene.
It was staged!
You practically shoved your chair back, feet carrying you across the hallway before you can remember that the mumbling coming from the opposite side of the wall was from Garcia talking with the team.
âGarcia!â You called, unable to hide the excitement in your voice. âHoney, guess what?!â
Garcia looked up from her desk, one hand still holding on to her headset. âwhat happened Fairy?â
âThe hunch was right! The crime scene was staged!â The other side of the call was silenced immediately. She lifted a finger before tapping a button on her headset, she set the headphones onto her desk.
You barely acknowledged Garcia gesturing to speak, already pulling the email up on her monitor.
âLook!â You pointed excitedly at the glowing photograph. âI had a hunch. The scene was too clean. Turns out they wiped the original transfer stains before depositing the final blood pool. Itâs underneath everythingâthey cleaned it and rebuilt the scene!â
you turned toward the microphone, âI can say with one-hundred percent certainty there is no way that victim died at that scene.â
With a happy little dance, you grinned. The energy vibrating onto your fingertips.
"I don't see how. â The speakers crackled as Reidâs Voice filtered through the call. The smile on your face never waivered. Leaning forward you blurted it, "I can give you a walk through if you want,â
âyouâll have to,â Reid admitted. âThe clotting times fit, The gravity flow is. Consistent with the bodyâs position, and the passive blood patterns all indicate the victim died exactly where they were found.â
âThey do,â you hummed thoughtfully. Letting a brief pause on the other side of the phone stretch.
âThey do..?â Reid asked.
âMhm.â You replied again, bounding on the balls of your feet. Which is when you admitted, âWhich is what bothered me.â
The room stayed quiet. âThatâs what bothered me. The scene is perfect. Everything agrees with each other. Like a scene for a movie, believable but off. Uncanny valley style.â you tapped the glowing transfer stain on the screen. Listening to the click and clack of Garciaâs fingers flying across the scene to send the evidence to the teams tablets.
âThe clotting, flow, and passive patterns are all real. But not from before that body was placed there. The splatters on the wall, the blowback cannot be from this body. This body cannot have produced this level of chaos.â You clarified. How it is real, the body and the crime scene real, but a piece of the puzzle was missing.
âThe luminol is showing wiping transfer near the final blood pool shows blood was present before our victim was found, and in this case wiped away. but not all of it, and a very bad job at that.â You spoke up, listening to the buzz behind the call. Nervous of their reactions.
ââŚAre you sure?â Reid asked.
You zoomed in one last time. âPositive,â your voice is full of conviction. No hesitation. No uncertainty.
âThe victim was staged.â The call didn't last long after that. Hotch thanked you and did his usual praise.
âGood work,â mumbled out before the line went dead.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Incident 3) Fingerprints.
This time it started with trash. Which wasnât totally unusual. As a forensic generalist, you had long since accepted that some of the most valuable evidence people threw away without second thought.
ââŚReid thinks our unsub has a latex allergy.â Garciaâs voice crackled through the speaker. She was updating you on the teamâs progress. This was a recent introduction, as your forensics proved to be at its best when knowing the teams profile and following their path. Cases as Spencer says, âwere statistically lowerâ when you were given all the details. Not that you minded either way.
âSoâŚâ Garcia hummed, scanning the notes on her monitor. Tapping her squishy topped pencil against her lips. â âGiven the evidence, the unsub likely has a latex allergy. Nitrile gloves are a logical substitute because they provide comparable tactile sensitivity while eliminating exposure to latex proteins.ââ
You blinked at her. A small smile tugging at your lips, âDid Spencer happen to say that?â
âYeahââ Garcia answered without thinking, she stopped abruptly. She began to turn toward you very, very slowly. A wicked grin spread across her face. ââŚWait a minute.â You looked up from the tablet. Raising a brow at her you paused your perusing of the evidence photos.
âDid you just call him Spencer?â She laid out, âYouâve always called him âDr. Reid.ââ With a small shrug you looked back at your tablet. Your flushed cheeks, hidden by your hair.
A resounding, âooooohhhhhhâŚ.â Made you look up. Eyes zeroing in on Garciaâs posture. She leaned over, narrowing her eyes at you dramatically. you recognized that look.
ââŚAfter lunch, we're totally talking about Spen-cer.â She sang out, wiggling her eyebrows at you.
You were not going to be let off easy.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Two days prior you had asked Hotch for a favor. To bag the trash. Any in that house that was missed. You had been given some, allegedly from the house, but alas you had found nothing. That being said, the amount was too small for a murder of an entire household. He had told you that Morgan would bag-n-tag it.
A day prior you had received the bagged evidence, making you grimace and giggle at the accidental misery you set upon Morgan. But today, you hoped he would forgive you. Cause you had found viable evidence.
A fingerprint, Not a partial finger print. Full fingerprint. Or should you say fingerprints. an entire array of a hand spanning the box was found. The same position one would normally take to then reach inside the box to grab a glove. Fortunately the box was full when the unsub grabbed them, and fortunately he also threw away the box inside the house.
âCia, my love,â you sang as you strolled into her office. Garcia looked up at you with a smile, âForensic Fairy!!â
You leaned over her shoulder, pulling the fingerprint up on one of her monitors. Pointing at the fingerprints, âCan you run these through AFIS? It was lifted off the nitrile glove box.â
Garciaâs brows shot up, looking at you in disbelief. You continued, âMy guess,â you smirked, âis that itâs our unsubâs.â
âOhhhh,â She hummed. Cracking her knuckles before beginning her assault on her keyboard. âLetâs see what my forensic fairy has for me/â
The flash of every fingerprint on the database began searching, the loading bar crawled. For hours it searched, paging through each print. And by the time you came back for the search to finishâŚ
âNO MATCHâ
You frowned. âNothing?â
Garcia shook her head, âSorry toots, looks like theyâre not in AFISâ
You blinked, face twisted in confusion. Then it hits you, âSometimes you can get as much information for a profile in what you don't find.â It was Hotch who said it, apparently he quoted a previous agent, Gideon. He was a wise agent!!
A grin spread across your face, an excited breath leaving your lungs as you sprinted toward your lab. Barely caring the breathless laugh and Garciaâs exclamation of surprise. Your phone rang before you even made it to your chair.
A resounding, âHotchner.â Awaited you. He spoke before you could answer, âwe're updating the profile.â
âIm listening,â you replied back. He wasted no time. Explaining the details. Organized offender. Heâs meticulous, plans ahead in detail, minimizes mistakes. Thoroughly understands forensic science and took counter measures.
ââŚThe lack of evidence suggests he consistently wears gloves during the commission of the crime.â Spencer went on. explaining how they found a lack of forensic evidence, no bodily fluids. No fingerprints.
âActually there were fingerprints. From both the gloves and from a hand.â rolling your chair toward your workbench, and pulling the evidence onto the monitor. âIm emailing the evidence to your tablets. The glove impressions left at the scene can be traced to a specific box of nitrile gloves.â
There was a beat of silence before you continued, âThis box was found by our very special agent Dumpster Diver.â You heard a dramatic groan from the other side of the phone. A smirk lighting up your face. âThe impressions left at the scene are consistent with the texture and pattern from a partially used box of nitrile gloves Morgan recovered from the crime scene's trash.â
You clicked on the photographs, âunfortunately, Garcia ran through them through AFIS and came with nothing. So we are empty handed.â You probed paving the way for a special boy genius to step in and continue where you left off. Or maybe you just wanted to hear his voice.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Spencer picked it up almost immediately. His expression changed to one of delight, as if he found the missing piece to a long finished puzzle. âSo we can reasonably eliminate anyone whose fingerprints would already exist within the system,â he said, more to himself than anyone else. âPrior felony arrests become less likely. Nobody in the military, or federal employment. We can rule out healthcare employees.â
He let out an exhale. âBut why nitrile..?â He asked. You perked up, âWell if he has a known latex allergy, that could be one reason. However, nitrile is also more resistant to chemicals and punctures.â He nodded once. Eyes trailing after hotch as he started working with Rossi.
Spencer reached over and quietly pressed the button on Hotchâs phone, taking you off speaker. Bringing it to his ear, he retreated back into a quieter corner of the local police department. Backing away from the steady hum of detectives and ringing phones. The team had only just broken for the night. Coffee cups sat half-finished across the conference table, case files being gathered, and everyone had been preparing to find a few hours of sleep before morning.
Instead, many eyes, ones Spencer knew very well watched as he stalked away with the phone. Morgan was the first to notice, tapping at the air to get Emilyâs attention before pointing toward Spencer and smirking at her. She returned the smile.
Spencer stopped in the hallway. He already knew the answer to the question lingering on the tip of his tongue. Well, he knew the textbook answer. I knew it by heart actually. But that's not what interested him, it was your answer he longed to know.
âIf you control for substrate, pressure, angle of contact, and manufacturing variation, whatâs the limiting factor that prevents forensic examiners from individualizing a glove impression the way they can a fingerprint?â
The question was heavily layered, touching on a handful of different topics. For a split second, you hesitated. Not because you didn't know, youâve been in this field long enough to have accounted for all that heâs asking in this case and the hypotheticals attached to it. You hesitated because you were trying to gauge whether he was testing you with⌠malicious intent.
Quiet hum through the receiver smoothed your nerves slightly. He was listening. For an answer or for a clue as to why you were hesitating, you didnât know. Slowly you began to explain. The first question you answered, beginning to unravel it like a present. You explained through it, connecting thoughts, information, hypotheticals, and the case all into one.
Each bit you gave, he took. Without correction. He listened intently, humming all the way. Quiet responses and breathing on the other side of the phone. He heard as you got more confident. One thought blending into two, then four, then ten. You walked him through manufacturing molds, polymer expansion during curing, microscopic embossing, and so on.
Once in a while he would interrupt. Not rudely, softly. To move the goalpost. Adding in a hypothetical contamination. An uncommon manufacturing defect. Each thing is more specific and complex than the last, to challenge your thinking. Each one designed to see whether your reasoning held together.
It did.
Not once did you stumble. Not once did a contradiction left your lips. Somewhere between manufacturing tolerances and courtroom admissibility⌠his focus had begun to waver. He stopped thinking about his next question. He had just.. listened.
Which wasnât surprising. He was good at listening. Remembering as well. But it was as if your voice were a siren call to his ears. He found himself leaning against the hallway wall, the phone resting comfortably against his ear. Your voice filled the silence with an ease that surprised him.
C onversations required effort. There was a rhythm learned to maintain, responses to understand and calculate, social cues to interpret. This didn't. He didn't have to think about the next thing to say, didnât lose focus, and didn't have to convince himself that its better to stay than to just walk away.
He was utterly entranced. Over a topic he knows. His pulse had quickened considerably after that thought entered his brain. It seemed to linger, like an intruder. Unwanted and unwavering.
He placed two fingers against his carotid artery, feeling his pulse jumping. Odd. He shifted his weight. Took a deep breath, waited a second. He tried again. Still there. Pulsing faster against his fingertips. His thumb began absentmindedly against the edge of the phoneâŚ
Why was his heart beating so fast?

Incident 4) Toxicology
Twelve has always been your lucky number. The Pantheon, which represented the complete authority of the heavens, was created by Ancient Greek and Roman culture. This is anchored by the 12 Olympian gods, who, in their beliefs, ruled over the sky. Itâs the hours on a clock. The ancient Mesopotamians created early water clocks. Numbers always fascinated you. Oddly enough, it was your twelfth case which was your most interesting.
Today though, the number three was on the forefront of your mind. Many believe itâs linked to expanse and the lucky planet Jupiter in astrology. In natural terms linked to both the past, present and future, as well as, birth, life, and death.
Three is also the number of times Spencer had called you today. Which, considering you were always too busy working to attend team meetups and have barely spoken in person, was⌠a considerably large number.
Working as the BAUâs forensic Liaison meant you worked with the team far more than you worked around them. Most conversations happened through Garciaâs headsets, Hotchâs cell, or case files dropped off by Garcia filled with notes to begin searching for forensic answers. By all accounts, you and Spencer were still a little more than professional acquaintances.
Which was very unfortunate. His voice was easy on the ears, a drone that buzzed pleasantly. A low hum against your ears when he was particularly deep in thought. How he rattled off questions as he challenged you previously.
His quick wit and ease as he tested your perspective never failed to amaze you. He was smart, with a multitude of PHDâs but you could tell simply by what he knew to ask. How he could so easily maneuver around information you worked so hard to memorize. Each time you called Hotch, either with an update or a clue, you would perk up whenever you heard his voice.
The teases from Garcia were relentless when she first saw it. But oh how you longed to put a face to the man who made your heart flutter and brain frazzle. But youâve never seen more than his brown hair fluttering past. Youâve never properly laid eyes on this man before.
So why had he called you three separate timesâfor reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with the case for that matterâwas beyond you.
The first call came just after nine in the morning. He called to ask about a bookstore. Which was definitely not pertaining to the case but you humored him. Explaining the one you frequent and enjoy how they have a section on vintage versions. You described the original copy of Alice in Wonderland you picked up and have displayed in your living room.
The second call came just after lunch. He called to ask what you did for fun. You paused again. This wasnât about the case either. But with a humor filled scoff and continuation of your analysis through a microscope, you explained your favorite hobby. Going to vintage stores around the city and picking up old things, either planning to restore them or just display them. You explain how you had gotten an old typewriter youâve restored.
The last call arrived just as you thought you made a break through in the case. Allowing the machines to work as you took a break to review other evidence.
You answered without looking away from the microscope. A small, âforensics.â Leaving your mouth.
âHi.â You smiled at the sound of Spencerâs voice. It was softâŚnervous. Like when you call your boss to say something went wrong. There was a pause.
A very particular pause. âI-i uhm.. thought I said you could call me SpenceâŚâ You blinked.
He sounded so sweet. The whispers of his plea rattled in your brain as you tasted the words on your tongue. You shook your head with a smirk. There is no temptation greater than a man being soft and oh so sweet.
Goodness how you fantasized about sinking your teeth into the meat of that temptation.
You smiled despite yourself. âOr at least Spencer, if thats what makes you comfortable.â His voice somehow got softer, he chuckled nervously, âJust⌠no more of this âDoctorâ stuff.â
Your chair squeaked as you leaned back, hands dragging down your face as you closed your eyes. Self-control is a wonderful virtue, but one that treads thin when tested. Especially by a specific man who was the definition of your type.
âAlright, *Spencer*.â The silence that followed was almost suspiciously pleased. A small, âthank you,â murmured through the speakers. You shook your head, a smile tugging at your lips.
âWhy did you call me?â
There was a brief pause, it hung in the air as you awaited a response.
âItâs-.. I need information about the language of Lilies.â
âThe language of lilies?â You questioned.
He paused, âyes. Itâs for a caseââ
You slowly raised an eyebrow, despite the fact he couldnât see you. âIs it?â
âYes.â His answer came all too quickly, âI promise.â
You hummed. ââŚUh-huh.â
You brightened either way. âAnywaysâLilies are my favorite flower, so I actually know a lot about them.â
âOh?â
You smiled, âyeah, especially tiger lilies and lilies of the valley.â You reached over for the little reference book tucked beside your monitor.
âTiger lilies traditionally represent confidence and wealth, although the meaning changes depending on the cultural tradition. Lilies of the valley are associated with sweetness and often, the return of happiness.â
you flipped through another page. Continuing to explain the difference between each lily. Water lily, white Easter lily, and leopard lily. You explained the significant, meaning, and what culture the meaning is most attached to. Circling back, âtheyâre also really interesting botanically because lilies of the valley arenât technically true lilies, they belong in the non-true lily. As in despite its name, it does not belong to the lily family, andââ
You caught yourself. âsorry.. i-Iâm rambling.â You giggle nervously.
âNo, Iâm listeningâ he refuted, So you continued.
You explained Victorian flower culture and how its language brought and changed cultures today. How particular colors could change the meaning so drastically, and why tiger lilies always seemed to be your favorite. Spencer didnât once interrupt.
When you finished, there was only a short pause. âOkay, I've got enough,â with a smile you responded, âOkay.â
stating your farewells, you waited for him to hang up the phone, only to catch the tail end of, ââŚi see you later?â
You blinked. âIs that a question?â
you waited.
âSpencer?â
Click bmmmmmmm
You stared at the phone. A small breathy laugh escaping your lips. Garcia poked her head inside.
âWho hung up on my Fairy?â
You immediately regretted saying his name. The look that sank into her eyes was pure evil.
âDonât,â you glared at her. She held her hands up in surrender. âI can feel the barely-contained feelings form here.â
She giggled as she darted away.
you could only shake your head.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
An hour after Spencer had hung up on you. Which you didnât mind, chalking it up to an accident. Your laboratory has settled back into its usual rhythm. Tests, evidence, labeling, and signing. So on and so forth.
The call had been mostly forgotten about.
Mostly
Your attention was however sapped away when Missus Mass Spec, the machine who had been humming steadily beside you as it worked through the blood samples, sent in from this case and the M.E. You were halfway through reviewing another Chromatogram whenâ
Beep.
you pushed off the floor, delighting in the little spin your chair took in itâd unintentional flare as you reached your mass spectrometer. Abby would kill you if she heard you calling the machine something so⌠impersonal.
All three samples had come back. Each labeled from he three victims. You went over each composition. Your expression is slowly changing. You double checked the confirmation, and each concentration compared all three results to each other. One thing stood out.
Scopolamine.
In the criminal underworld as âDevilâs breathâ or Burundanga. Low concentrations. Present at roughly the same dosage, rules out strict ccâs used in medical care, In every victim.
You immediately dialed Hotchâs number. Nothing. You frowned and tried again. He went straight to voice mail. Thatâs not right, He never refuses to answer a phone call, especially when it's from you.
Pausing, you waited until it hit voicemail. This was definitely weird. Glancing at the toxicology results on your monitor, they needed to know this information. Little bits like this could make or break the case. The team was several states away and whatever had made Hotch unreachable had happened at the worst possible times.
So you scrolled through your contacts. Tapping a familiar geniusâ number, you hit the dial. He answered after a few short rings.
âHello?â He sounded nervous again.
âHey Spencer, please donât hang up on me, it's important.â
There was a pause. A really long pause. You could practically hear him thinking through your frantic request. Taking it apart and formulating the words appropriate to answer.
âI wasnât going to..â you breathed a sigh of relief. Listened as he cleared his throat. You launched into the toxicology reports. How each was low enough to confuse and subdue rather than be lethal. You continued to explain in depth what your chromatograms depicted, throwing glances their way to rerun the results. Like this was some dream you could change if you noticed something was off.
While you were rambling, you barely noticed the shuffling and muffled voices that came through the phone. barely catching Spencer whisperâlow and hurriedâ âGet Hotch. He's in the interrogation room.â
You were already halfway through explaining why the consistency between the samples bothered you. ââThe three examples, which sit within a narrow range, Then it isnât accidental exposure. However whoever dosed them had a lack of care when intoxicating them. I wouldnât say the person who drugged them worked in pharmacology, but they definitely knew someone who did. You don't just stumble across scopolamine andââ
Spencer cut in. ââBecause scopolamine is a competitive antagonist at muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.â
you paused, listening to the teamâs rambles as they conversed and listened to one another. You hadnât even realized they were there. Spencer continued, slipping effortlessly into his own lecture. âIt disrupts cholinergic signaling in the central nervous system, particularly in the pathways, particularly in the memory formation and cognitive processing.â
You blinked. He explained that really well, however too scientifically for most to catch onto. âOkay! Simpler version for the non-brianiacs!!â Spencer stopped and allowed you to fill in, âYour brain is incapable of communicating with your body.â You smiled into the phone.
You gestured emphatically at the toxicology report, highlighting the numbers in bold pink. Scribbling notes as you spoke, âYou are literally stuck in your own body and awake. To anyone else, youâre consenting.â
your voice softened âHowever, the person drugged remembers nothing.â
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
For a moment, Spencer said nothing. He just listened. It was all information you had been previously ranting about. Toxicology results, scopolamine, concentration ratios, metabolism, and detection threshold. But Spencer noticed something else. Something more peculiar.
You changed the way you explained things
The terminology he had just heard you say, was no where to be found. Now it was simpler. Explanations were shorter, more concise. You werenât exactly summing anything down, you just translated it into something they would understand.
You had somehow picked up on what the team would understand, how they would understand it, and explained it. Allowing them to catch on and comprehend without making anyone feel less than.
Spencer quickly found himself quite fascinated by that. It was gentle.
You were so gentle.
Always considerate. As well as being incredibly intelligent. You knew the science well enough to explain it in its most complicated form, but you also knew when not to.
He liked that.
More than he should.
While Hotch, Morgan, Emily, and Rossi began quietly discussing and revising the profile amongst themselves, Spencer remained slightly apart. âSo the half-life,â he asked quietly. He leaned into the receiver. âHow does that affect the concentration weâre seeing?â
You answer swiftly and effortlessly. Back to explaining in-depth and long answers stringing together that only he could really catch. It felt amazing to listen to you. Like being the only people in the room speaking a language only each of you knew. It was surprisingly intimate.
His face warmed at the thought. Each and every moment spent with you, he was beginning to see his memory as more than a curse than a blessing.
You were finishing up your first explanation. Something within him tugged, begging to ask another question. If only to hear your voice. so he asked another question. Then another, and this time it wasnât to challenge your thinking or gauge your brilliance. It was to listen. To hear the rhythm of your breathing when you spoke and to the erratic beating of his heart.
His inflamed cheeks had yet to calm down as you began to explain metabolism and how it could alter over time. Your voice carries the same enthusiastic tone youâd had earlier when you spoke of Lilies so fondly.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Across the room, Morgan noticed Spencer leaning over the same receiver that the team had left behind. His eyes slyly slid over to Emily, who returned a look that mirrored his own. Neither had said anything, and they didn't necessarily need to when Spencer was so enraptured by his conversation with you.
Spencer was practically folded over the phone, listening with an expression Morgan had never seen on him before. Spencer's shoulders were relaxed, his head was tilted slightly, and every so often the faintest smile would pull at his mouth.
Morgan gave the smallest nod towards her. Rossi watched across the table as both Supervisory Special Agents gossiped like school girls. Then he followed their line of sight, his head immediately finding the offender red handed. âOh,â he smirked. Morgan threw a look at Rossi, amusement twinkling in his own eyes.
Rossi leaned back in his chair, studying Spencer for another second. Breathing out, âIâve had too many wives to not know where his is going.â
âThis is going to be painful,â Emily nearly laughed at Rossiâs dramatic groan. Emily whispered, âHow painful?â
Rossi watched Spencer's shy and boyish smile at something you said. âExcruciating,â he murmured, Morganâs grin widened. He nudged Emily, âHow long do you think it will take for them to figure it out?â
Emily shrugged, âReid? If she doesn't tell him outright, probably six months.â She pushed a folded twenty toward the middle of the table with two of her fingers.
âThree,â Morgan countered, sliding two crumpled tens. Both of their eyes rested on Rossi, who looked up from his file. Stared at the money, then flicked his eyes to them. âI am not betting on Reidâs love life.â
âTechnically,â Morgan drawled, âweâre betting on his ability to recognize his own feelings.â
Rossi scoffed quietly. âI am not betting.
Emily smirked, âwhat? Scared?â
âNo.â He countered. âMy money will not end up in your grubby hands.â
Morgan chuckled.
All three of their eyes snapped to Hotch, âItâs inappropriate to gamble on an associateâs personal life.â He spoke, not once looking up from the files spread out on the table.
The door opened. JJ stepped inside, a file tucked beneath her arm. âIâve got an update from the local newsââ she stopped.
Her eyes looked at the money resting on the middle of the table. Then to Morgan. Then she went one by one down the table, looking at each co-worker. âWhat⌠is that?â She pointed to the pile of money.
Morgan casually leaned back, her eyes locking in on Spencer. He was still standing apart from everyone. Fidgeting with his fingers as he listened and exchanged information with you.
JJ knew that look. Knew it in a way that youâve never seen before but still knew what it meant. Sheâd seen Spencer excited over books. Over new information. Sheâd seen him get fidgety over obscure facts nobody else really cared about.
But this was different.
She smiled, small and genuine. Though there was a faint pinch of something behind it. She smirked and pretended to think⌠âSix months,â she said, almost playfully. Setting down a single pristine 20 onto the table.
Spencer finally lifted and pulled away from the receiver. He stared at it for a moment. Then slow as molasses, looked up. Everyone had been watching. Well, almost everyone.
Morganâs face had changed from a smirk to a large boyish grin. Emily was biting her tongue to try not to laugh. Rossi looked very tired, sipping on his cheap coffee. JJ had her arms folded, wearing a knowing little smile. Hotch was doing an admirable job of pretending none of this existed.
Spencer blinked. His gaze dropping back to the receiver. That shy smile was back. He shook his head slightly, almost to himself and beginning to walk back to the team.
âWhat a womanâŚâ he mumbled, expression twisted into a dopey smile.

â ăťăťăťăťăťăťâ
Spencer Reid was not an attractive man.
That's what you tell yourself.
That's what your mind mutters when you can't stop staring at your best friend during a case briefing, or staring at his veiny hands during an autopsy, or staring at his hair, imagining what it would be like to tug at it when heâ
Christ, you needed to get laid.
And not by Spencer Reid.
Because Spencer Reid was your best friend, your co-worker, and not an attractive man. And you were definitely not in love with him.
He couldn't flirt with women at bars like Derek could, though he still always managed to get a woman's number without trying â just saying some well-timed nerdy fact and dragging his eyes up and down in a way that seemed like he was studying a woman, not objectifying her⌠not that you noticed, of course, since he was just your best friend.
He confessed to you, over too much wine after a particularly stressful case, that he'd read countless smut books and non-fiction books on "women's pleasure." You were sitting outside on his apartmentâs mini balcony on a worn out blanket on the floor, a glass of wine in each of your hands. You giggled in reply, sloshing your wine over yourself, imagining Spencer blushing while reading but maintaining a clear and rigorous focus. Imagining the way his fingers traced the words on the page, imagining him licking his fingers to turn it. Imagining him making notes, running a flustered hand through his hair.
He leaned over, his pocket hankercheif in hand, and helped clean the wine from your dress, and suddenly it wasn't funny anymore. It was so painfully, beautifully, perfectly Spencer. Your Spencer⌠your best friend Spencer.
But you couldn't pretend your heart didn't do flips when he cleaned you up, laughing shyly, embarrassed, protesting that he also "conducted practical experiments."
"So you're not a virgin?" you asked, boldly.
"I'm thirty," Spencer said dryly. "Of course I'm not a virgin."
"You never argue when Morgan makes fun of you for it?"
"Yeah, because then he'd want⌠details." He shuddered slightly. "I like being private."
"So Dr. Reid doesn't kiss and tell?"
"Never," he said, with far more seriousness than the conversation required â and you felt your stomach flip like it always did when Spencer looked into your eyes.
He wasn't attractive. You'd told yourself that so many times it should have started sounding true by now. It never did. Spencer Reid was beautiful, but you refused to let your stupid heart acknowledge it, because if you did, if you let yourself feel it all then there would be no going back, and that terrified you.
It was the way he existed in a room, maybe. The way he'd fold himself into a chair like his limbs were an afterthought, then forget his own body entirely the second something interesting crossed his mind. You weren't supposed to notice things like the curve of his jaw when he tilted his head mid-thought, or the way his hands moved when he talked â precise, almost delicate, like he was conducting something only he could hear. You definitely weren't supposed to notice his mouth. You'd made a personal rule about that months ago and broken it approximately four hundred times since.
This isn't attraction, you told yourself. Not really. It's just⌠observation. Anyone with eyes would notice these things. It didn't mean anything. Noticing that someone was beautiful wasn't the same as wanting them. You could admire a painting without needing to own it, could stand in front of a sculpture and think God, that's stunning without any of it meaning you'd lost your mind.
Except paintings didn't laugh at your jokes. Sculptures didn't remember your coffee order down to the exact ratio of oat milk. And you'd never wanted to trace your fingers along a canvas the way you wanted to reach across and push a piece of hair off his forehead, just to have an excuse to touch him.
He was your best friend. That was the whole point of him. That was supposed to be the entire, uncomplicated shape of this.
You were just observing. That's all this was.
⌠You were becoming a very unconvincing liar.
And maybe that's why you found yourself asking "any recommendations?" before you had a chance to stop yourself; you supposed you could always blame it on the wine.
"âŚrecommendations?" Spencer questioned tilting his head as he did so.
"Yeah, like book recommendations. About... about the... the topic you were just telling me about."
"...Women's pleasure books?"
"âŚyesâŚ"
"Iâ surely you're already an expert in that field?" he laughed awkwardly, avoiding your eyes.Â
Three PhDs. Spencer took knowledge seriously, any knowledge. He wouldn't just read about something; he'd study it, understand it, master it. The thought sent a sharp pang through your chestâjealousy for every woman who had already experienced Spencer's expertise, for every person who had been on the receiving end of those precise, analytical hands applied to pleasure instead of paperwork. The thought made you want to both run from this conversation and lean into it simultaneously.
"It's funny, really," you began, the wine making you say more than you probably should â but Spencer was your best friend, you could tell him anything, even this. "I've never⌠you knowâŚ"
"Wait, you're a virgin?"
"What? Noâ"
"Then what?"
"Do I have to spell it out?"
"Do I have to remind you that yes, always?"
"Well." You felt your face flush a bright crimson. "I've never⌠cum before." you said, voice small, eyes avoiding his gaze.
Spencerâs head jolted up and just stared at you for a second, "Wait, you meanâ?"
"âŚyeah."
"But you dated Andrew for, what, four years?" he immediately recalled the name of your most recent ex, and you swore for a second you could see his face sour a tiny bit at the mention of his name.
"âŚyep."
"And he never onceâ?"
"We had Sex, but I just never⌠It wasn't bad, and it's not like I need to, you know, to have fun. It feels good, I just â I don't know, I think I'm too stressed or something. Or maybe Iâve never really trusted the people Iâve been with as much as I should. I just kind of accepted it would never happen for me. Which is fine. But â sorry, this is weird, isn't it?"
"I don't think it's weird."
"No?"
"No."
"Okay." You said it almost at a whisper. You knew Spencer meant what he said. It felt like there were no boundaries between the two of you.
Truthfully, your previous sexual experiences had been fun and they felt good but youâd never experience that total wave of pleasure, youâve felt the coil wind itself inside you but it just never snapped. You knew what it was supost to be like â Christ youâd faked enough to almost convince yourself... almost.Â
"Can I ask a question?" Spencer probed, pulling you out of your thoughts.
"Go right ahead."
"So you've never even cum on your own?"
"You mean like⌠masturbated?" you said at almost a whisper, suddenly aware that the two of you were outside, the thought of his neighbours overhearing the conversation had you squirming.
"Yeah. Have you ever tried toys, or anything? At the end of the day you're the one who knows your body best, but â when you say never, do you mean never never, or never with someone else?" Spencer said, completely oblivious to the fact that you were trying to talk as quietly as possible.
"Erm." You were flustered. "I guess both. I've never â sorry, I'm a grown adult, I don't know why this is so difficult for me to talk about. I mean, I've never done anything on my own. I think it's a shame thing? And I know it's not shameful, not to profile myself, but maybe it was my upbringing, or maybe I'm not sure. I've read fiction and watched things and wanted to â I really wanted to, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Is that weird?"
"I don't think it's weird."
"You don't?"
"Of course I don't."He paused, considering you with those intense eyes that saw too much. "I just think you need more confidence, and to learn more about your own body â what you do and don't like. Learn your erogenous zones, stuff like that, what feels good for you."
"Yeah, maybe. I am nearly thirty, though, Spencer."
"Most women learn new ways to climax in their late twenties â in fact that's when a lot of women squirt for the first time. But plenty of women never orgasm in their lives at all, usually because they've only had one partner who didn't know what they were doing. A lot of women cum for the first time using toys. Some don't have their first orgasm until their forties and later. No one's sexual journey is the same."
"Wow, you really have read a lot of books."
"Yeah, I suppose I have." He shifted slightly closer. "Do you know your erogenous zones?"
"My what?"
Spencer just said your name, in a slightly condescending tone.
"What?"
A silent tension settled over the two of you, you could see Spencer's mind working in real time, saw him weighing up the pros and cons of something, something you werenât entirely sure what it was yet.
âYou trust me right?â Spencer's voice was suddenly softer, more intimate than before.
âMore than anything.â The thought flashed through your mind and fell out of your mouth before you could stop it, and you realized with a jolt that it was absolutely true. You trusted Spencer Reid with your life on the job, with your secrets after hours, with your heart when it was breaking. Why not with this too?
"Okay, soâŚ" Spencer took a breath, his eyes fixed on yours. "Let me try."
Did you hear him right? Your brain scrambled to catch up, replaying the words like they might change if you looked at them from a different angle. Spencer â your best friend, the one who once color-coded your bookshelf without asking, who'd fallen asleep on your couch more times than you could count â was offering to... no. That couldn't be right. This was Spencer. This was safe, familiar, uncomplicated Spencer, and yet here he was, looking at you like the ground had shifted and he was waiting to see if you'd noticed too. Was this even real? Was this some wine-soaked fever dream you were going to wake up from, mortified, in an hour? You searched his face for the joke, the out, the moment he'd laugh and say he was kidding. It didn't come.
âLet me try,â He repeated himself, âI donât want to get your hopes up but Iâve been told Iâm pretty goodâŚâ
"Shut up." You laughed in spite of yourself, the sound coming out shaky.
"I am being serious thoughâŚ" His voice dropped lower, the academic detachment melting away into something raw and honest. "I don't want it to be weird between us but, I mean we're friends right?"
"Of course."
"And friends help each other out, right?"
You couldn't fault his logic. It was perfectly Spencerâframing an offer of intimate, mind-blowing pleasure in the practical terms of mutual assistance.
"...yeah?"
"It's obviously completely up to you, I'm not saying that we should have a whole complete friend with benefits situation, unless you want to, but I could⌠teach you?"
"Teach me?"
The words hung in the air between you, fragile but determined. Spencer's hands stilled on your waist, and he met your eyes in the mirror again, a slow, knowing smile spreading across his face.
"you know, to save you the trouble of reading every dusty book in my personal library," he teased gently.
"I mean yeah i guess we could do something like that," you managed, a nervous laugh escaping you.
His expression softened, the teasing replaced by something serious, something intent. "Alright," he said, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
You nodded, your breath catching in your throat.
"Would you like to come inside?"
You laughed, a genuine, breathless sound this time. "I'd like to cum full stop, that's why we're in this predicament, Spencer."
"Shut up, you know what I mean." A faint blush crept up his neck, and you found it endearing.
"Yeah, sorry, after you,"
He led the way inside, his apartment a familiar space that suddenly felt charged with new potential. "My bedroom is this way," he said, his voice casual as if discussing the weather, "unless you'd rather the couch but I think that the bedroom would probably work better?"
"Yeah that⌠that works for me," you felt flush, heat pooling between your legs. You couldn't believe that you were doing this.
Spencer opened the door, and you followed him, unsure what else to do. His bedroom was quintessentially himâbooks stacked in precarious towers, a worn-out copy of some dense text on the nightstand, and a perfectly made bed with hospital corners. He turned to face you, and the air between you thickened.
"We don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with," he said softly. "We can stop at any point."
You nodded, your throat too tight to speak. The logical part of your brain, the part that sounded suspiciously like Spencer himself, was screaming that this was a catastrophic idea. It would ruin everything. But the rest of you, the part that had been starved for this exact kind of attention, was thrumming with a nervous, desperate energy.
He seemed to understand your silent assent. He didn't move to kiss you or undress you. Instead, he stepped back, giving you space, and gestured towards a full-length mirror leaning against the far wall. "Come here for a second."
Confused, you walked up to him, your legs feeling unsteady. He positioned you in front of the mirror, standing behind you but not touching. You could see both of your reflectionsâyour flushed face and wide eyes, and him behind you, his expression unreadable but intensely focused.
He took your hand, his thumb stroking your knuckles. "Okay, so... we're going to start with a lesson?" you asked, unsure of the situation you found yourself in.
Spencer shook his head slightly, his eyes sharp and focused on yours. "Not a lesson. A profile. You've been faking it, which means you're an excellent observer of others' pleasure but not your own. Let's treat this like a profile. I'm going to present you with stimuli, and you're going to tell me what data you gather from your own body. No right or wrong answers, just raw data. Can you do that for me?"
all you did was nod, what else could you do. Spencer, your spencer, even now was searching for ways to make you comfortable, to make you familiar. You knew profiling, you did it every day, and he knew that. He knew the logical part of your brain was telling you that this uncharted waters were a bad idea, he made it seem normal. you appreciated it more than he would ever know.
"Step 1," he said, his voice low and steady, a direct contrast to the frantic beating of your heart. "Observation. You need to see what I see." His hands came to rest gently on your waist, and you jumped slightly at the contact. "Easy," he murmured. "Relax, and just watch."
âOkay,â you breathed out, trusting him entirely.
âBefore I do anything I want you to see how beautiful you are, no matter what does or doesnât happen I need you to know that, okay?â
âOkay.â
âCan you say it back to me?â
âSpencer this is sillyââ
âJust humour me, just say youâre beautiful,â his head dipped so his lips were next to your ear, his voice low and steady âBecause you should know that you are so so beautiful.â
âIââ you swallowed thickly, your eyes resting on your figure, âIâm beautiful.â
âThatâs so good.â he praised, âWell done.â His eyes met yours in the mirror. "I can feel your heart racing, relax."Â
You tried to even out your breathing â you really did â but Spencer was so close. Sure, you'd fallen asleep on his shoulder on the jet before, you'd hugged him a hundred times, but this was something else entirely. This sent heat pooling low in your core and made your head spin, and he was barely even touching you, his hands just resting on your waist.Â
âDo you think you could take your dress off for me? We can do whatever youâre comfortable with, it may be easier if you're just in your bra and panties.â
â..yeah, okay.âÂ
Your fingers trembled as they found the zipper of your dress, the metallic sound unnaturally loud in the quiet room. The fabric pooled at your feet, leaving you exposed in nothing but your simple lace bra and panties. Spencer's gaze was like a physical touch, scorching a path over your skin. A low, strained sound escaped his throat, something between a groan and a whimper, and his hands returned to your waist, his thumbs stroking circles against your hip bones.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice thick with an emotion you couldn't name. "Repeat it back to me, baby."
The pet name sent a fresh wave of heat through you, making your head spin. Your voice was barely a whisper when you obeyed. "I'm so beautiful."
"Good girl," he breathed, the praise so quiet you almost thought you imagined it. But the way your knees went weak, threatening to give out, was very, very real. His hands tightened on your waist, the only thing holding you upright as he pulled you back flush against his chest.
"Now, I don't want you to just watch. I want you to watch your micro-expressions. Notice the slight flaring of your nostrils, the dilation of your pupils. Those are autonomic responses. They don't lie. We're going to use them as feedback to calibrate what works. Just tell me what you see, and tell me what you feel as we go on okay?"
He slowly slid his hands up your sides, his touch feather-light. "We're going to start with your somatic mapping points. These aren't technically sexual, but they're very receptive to touch in general, but especially when you're aroused. Iâm going to touch you in these places, keep your eyes on the mirror baby so you can see exactly what I do."
His fingers traced the line of your jaw, and you watched in the mirror as your head tilted back slightly into his touch. "The neck," he whispered, his breath warm against your skin. "A concentration of nerve endings." He demonstrated, his fingertips skimming the sensitive skin below your ear, and a soft gasp escaped your lips. You saw it happen in the mirror, the way your body responded instantly to his.
"See?" he said, a hint of academic satisfaction in his tone. "Your body knows what it likes. You just have to learn to listen." He moved his hands to your shoulders, kneading the tight muscles there. "Stress is an inhibitor of pleasure. We need to get rid of it."
His touch was clinical in its precision, yet it sent arcs of electricity through you. You watched in the mirror, mesmerized, as his long fingers worked deep circles into the muscles flanking your spine. Your head lolled forward, giving him better access, and a soft sigh escaped your lips. The visual was intoxicatingâseeing his large hands on your bare skin, watching the way your own body responded, the flush creeping up your chest and neck, the unmistakable pleasure slackening your features. It was like watching a stranger discover a new language of sensation, and you were both the observer and the observed. A fine sheen of sweat bloomed across your skin, not from exertion, but from the sheer, concentrated heat of his touch.
His hands were a study in controlled grace, a paradox you were only just beginning to understand. They weren't the hands of a laborer, thick and calloused, but they possessed a strength that belied their elegant appearance. You could see every long, tapered finger, the clean, square nails, the faint dusting of light brown hair on his knuckles. These were the hands that flicked through hundreds of pages a minute, that wrote complex formulas on whiteboards, that handled evidence with delicate precision. And now, they were mapping the terrain of your body with that same exacting attention to detail.
His thumbs were the focal point, pressing with an almost scientific pressure into the stubborn knot between your shoulder blades. You could feel the muscle slowly yielding, the tension unwinding under his relentless, circular motion. His other fingers splayed wide across your back, anchoring him, their pads a warm, steady presence that promised safety. As he worked his way down your spine, you could feel the subtle shift in his grip, the way his fingers would trace the line of your ribs before his palms would flatten against the small of your back, pressing gently to ground you. It was a language of touch, fluent and articulate, and with every passing second, you were becoming more and more fluent in reading it.
"Ready for the next step?" he asked.
You could only nod, your voice gone.
His hands moved around to your stomach, splaying across it. "The abdomen," he explained, his voice a low rumble against your ear. "Full of nerve endings. Often overlooked." He began to trace slow, deliberate patterns on your skin, and your hips began to move restlessly.
"Here," he murmured, moving his hands, his voice a low hum against your ear. "The antecubital fossa," he said, his fingers gently tracing the soft, sensitive skin on the inside of your elbow. "The skin here is thinner, and the veins are closer to the surface, making it more receptive to light touch." He demonstrated, his fingertips barely grazing the area, and you shivered, a full-body tremor that had nothing to do with being cold. He smiled, a small, knowing curve of his lips. "And the wrists," he continued, his thumb pressing gently into the pulse point there. "Another area of high sensitivity. It's a vulnerable spot, biologically. Protecting major arteries. The brain registers touch here as particularly significant. One of the reasons why people like being tied up, but we wonât get onto that today" He lifted your wrist to his lips, pressing a soft, open-mouthed kiss to the thrumming beat of your heart. You watched, mesmerized, as your own pulse seemed to leap in response.
His hands slid around to your ribcage, his long fingers spanning your waist. "The intercostal muscles," he explained, his voice a low, hypnotic drone. "The muscles between your ribs. They're constantly in use, expanding and contracting with every breath. They're not often touched, which makes them highly sensitive when they are." His thumbs traced the bottom curve of your ribs, a slow, deliberate motion that made you arch your back, a silent plea for more. "And the thorax," he continued, his hands moving up to cup your breasts, his thumbs brushing against the underside. "The mammary glands. We'll get to the nipples specifically, but the entire area is an erogenous zone, rich with nerve endings connected to the same network that innervates the clitoris." He squeezed gently, his palms molding to your curves, and you felt a fresh wave of wetness between your legs. He was turning your body into a textbook, and you were the most willing student.
"Spencer," you breathed, your eyes fluttering shut.
"No," he said gently. "Eyes open. Watch yourself. See how beautiful you are when you're feeling pleasure."
Your eyes flew open, locking onto your reflection. His thumbs brushed over your nipples, which were already hard and straining against the fabric. The sensation was electric, shooting straight down to your core.
"This is a primary erogenous zone. these are universally responsive," he continued, his voice maddeningly calm as your body began to tremble. "Direct stimulation is key." He deftly unhooked your bra, letting it fall away. Your breasts were exposed in the mirror, and for a moment, you felt a flash of self-consciousness.
"Don't look away," he commanded softly. He rolled your nipples between his thumb and forefinger, and a choked moan tore from your throat. "That's it. Let yourself feel it."
One of his hands left your breast, trailing down your stomach. "There are other primary zones," he said, his fingers toying with the waistband of your pants. "But I think the most important lesson for tonight is about control."
He turned you to face him, his hands now on your waist. "I want you to see what I do," he said, his eyes dark with an emotion you couldn't quite name. "And then, I want you to do it to yourself."
Your breath hitched. "What?"
"You're the expert on your own body," he said, his lips curving into a slight smile. "I'm just here to give you the textbook. Now it's time for some practical application."
He led you back to the bed, positioning you against the pillows. He knelt between your legs, his eyes never leaving yours. "First," he said, his voice barely a whisper, "Remember, I'm going to show you. Then, you're going to take over."
And as his fingers finally found your clit, you knew this was a night you would never forget.
His fingers were impossibly gentle as they made contact, a stark contrast to the jolt of electricity that shot through you. You watched, mesmerized, as he slowly, deliberately circled your clit with his middle finger. The touch was barely there, a whisper of sensation, but it was more intense than anything you'd ever felt.
"The clitoral glans," he began, his voice a low, husky rumble that vibrated through you. "It contains approximately eight thousand sensory nerve fibers. That's double the number found in the entire penis, baby. It's purely for pleasure."
A soft whimper escaped his lips as he felt you pulse against his finger. He was getting off on this, on teaching you, on feeling you respond. The realization sent a fresh wave of arousal through you.
"More," you breathed, your hips arching off the bed.
"Not yet," he chided softly, his other hand pressing gently on your stomach to keep you still. "Patience. We're building sensation. Rushing bypasses crucial neural pathways." He applied a fraction more pressure, changing the motion to a slow, firm figure-eight. "The external structure is just the tip. The internal clitoral bulbs and crura extend down, wrapping around the vagina. When we stimulate this area," he paused to press down slightly, making you gasp, "we're engaging the entire complex."
Your hands fisted in the sheets. "Spencer... please."
"Please what, sweetheart? Use your words."
"Please... more. Please, sir."
The word hung in the air between you. Spencer's breath hitched, his eyes darkening with something primal. He let out a low, guttural groan. "Fuck," he whispered, more to himself than to you. "Don't... don't call me that unless you mean it."
"I mean it," you panted, the submission feeling natural, right.
A slow, predatory smile spread across his face. "Good girl." He increased the pressure, his movements becoming more deliberate. "Now, pay attention. The clitoris isn't a button to be pushed. It's an entire network. Watch how I vary the pressure and speed. See how your body responds differently to each touch."
He demonstrated, switching from slow circles to rapid, light flicks, then back to firm, steady pressure. Each change sent you spiraling higher, your body trembling uncontrollably.
"You're doing so well," he praised, his voice strained with his own arousal. "You're so responsive. Look at you." He nodded towards the mirror, and you forced your eyes open. Your face was flushed, your mouth parted, your chest heaving. You looked debauched, and you'd never felt more beautiful.
"Now," he said, his voice dropping even lower. "We're going to explore the anterior vaginal wall. Often called the G-spot, though that's a misnomer. It's actually the clitoral-urethral-vaginal complex, or CUV." He slowly slid a single finger inside you, and you cried out at the exquisite stretch. "There. Do you feel that? That slightly rougher, ridged texture?"
You could only nod, your words lost.
"That's it," he murmured, his finger curling upwards to stroke that spot. "That's the root of the clitoris we're stimulating from the inside. It's why some women can orgasm from penetration alone, though most need direct clitoral stimulation as well." He began to move his finger in a 'come here' motion, his thumb returning to circle your clit.
The dual stimulation was overwhelming. Your vision blurred, your body arching off the bed.
"Easy, baby," he soothed, his voice strained. "Breathe through it. Don't chase it. Let it build." He whimpered again, the sound barely audible. "God, you're so tight. So wet for me."
You were close, so close to that edge you'd never been able to reach before. "Please Sir," you begged, "I'm gonna..."
"No," he said firmly, suddenly withdrawing his hand. You cried out at the loss, your eyes flying open in protest. "Not yet. I told you. You're going to do it yourself."
He shifted, leaning over you until his body bracketed yours, caging you in with a warmth that was both a comfort and a torment. His face was so close to yours that his curls brushed against your temple, and you could feel the warmth of his breath fanning across the shell of your ear. His voice was a low, intimate rumble, a vibration that seemed to travel from his chest straight through your bones. "Your heart rate is still elevatedâI can feel your pulse hammering right here." He punctuated the statement by pressing a soft, impossibly gentle kiss to the side of your neck, right over the frantic, fluttering pulse point. The contrast between his tender lips and your wild pulse made you whimper. "Your pupils are blown," he continued, his gaze dropping to your eyes for a fraction of a second before returning to your face. "But I need to know what's happening in your head. Are you truly processing the sensation, letting your body feel without judgment or analysis? Or are you just performing the role you think you're supposed to play, trying to give me the reaction you think I want to hear?"
"that's... thisâ"
"It's okay baby, take your time and tell me."
"Felt so good, I was going to cum spencer, please, please, please keep going," you whined.
He made a 'tsk' noise as he shifted, positioning himself beside you, his eyes burning into yours. "My turn to watch," he said, his voice thick with desire. "Show me what you learned. Touch yourself for me, baby. Let me see you make yourself cum."
Your hand shook as you brought it between your legs, your fingers sliding easily through your wetness. You mimicked his motions, circling your clit, then sliding a finger inside to stroke that sensitive spot.
"That's it," he encouraged, his hand resting on your thigh, his touch grounding you. "Just like that. You're in control now. Show me how you like it."
And as you watched yourself in the mirror, your fingers moving with growing confidence, Spencer's eyes locked on yours, you finally understood. This wasn't just about pleasure. It was about power. Your power. And as the first waves of your orgasm began to build, you knew this was only the beginning.
Your fingers moved with a hesitant rhythm, mimicking the patterns he'd taught you, but lacking his confident precision. It felt good, but it wasn't the same. The edge was there, but it was fuzzy, indistinct.
"Look at me, not the mirror," Spencer commanded softly, his voice a low thrum that seemed to resonate directly in your clit. You tore your gaze away from your reflection to meet his. His eyes were dark, almost black with desire, and they were fixed on your face, on your hand. "That's it. Good girl. Now, tell me what you're feeling."
"I... it's good," you panted, your strokes faltering slightly. "But it's not... it's not the same."
"Because you're thinking too much," he said, his hand still resting heavily on your thigh. "You're performing instead of feeling. Your brain is still trying to analyze the data instead of just experiencing it. Let go."
"I don't know how," you whispered, frustration welling up inside you.
"Yes, you do," he murmured, his voice dropping impossibly lower. "You just need to stop fighting it. Let me help." He covered your hand with his, his long fingers wrapping around yours. "Together. Feel how I'm guiding you? Feel the pressure?"
His hand over yours was a revelation. He guided your fingers, showing you exactly where to press, how fast to move. The pleasure sharpened, your hips bucking up to meet the combined pressure of your hands.
"That's it," he breathed, his own voice strained. "You feel that? That's the frenulum of your clitoral hood. Extremely sensitive. We're going to focus there for a moment."
He guided your fingers in tiny, precise circles, and the coil inside you began to tighten, a hot, heavy pressure building in your core.
"Spencer," you gasped, your head falling back against the pillows.
"No," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "Eyes on me. I want to see you when you cum for the first time."
The authority in his voice sent a fresh jolt of arousal through you. "Yes, sir," you breathed, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
He let out a ragged groan, his hips jerking against the bed. "Fuck, baby. You can't say things like that." He was painfully hard, his control clearly fraying at the edges. "You're so perfect. So responsive."
He guided your fingers faster, the pressure increasing. "Now, I want you to add another finger. Inside. Curl them up, just like I showed you." You obeyed, a second finger sliding easily into your wet heat. "That's it. Now press. Can you feel how full you are? How your body is opening up to receive pleasure?"
You could only moan in response, your body trembling on the verge of something monumental.
"You're close," he said, his voice a strained whisper. "I can feel it. Your muscles are starting to contract. Don't fight it. Let it happen." He removed his hand, leaving you to your own devices. "Now, baby. You know what to do. Show me. Cum for me."
His words were your undoing. You drove your fingers deeper, your thumb working your clit in a desperate, frantic rhythm. And then it happened. The coil snapped. A wave of pleasure so intense it was almost painful crashed over you, stealing your breath, your vision whiting out. You cried out his name, your body arching off the bed, your inner walls clamping down on your fingers as wave after wave of ecstasy washed through you.
It was endless. It was everything. It was heaven.
When you finally came back to yourself, Spencer was there, his eyes soft, a gentle smile on his face. "There you are," he murmured, brushing a sweaty strand of hair from your forehead. "Welcome back."
You could only stare at him, your body still trembling with aftershocks. You'd never felt anything like that. You'd never even imagined anything like that.
"How do you feel?" he asked, his voice soft.
"Incredible," you whispered, your voice hoarse. "I... I had no idea."
"You're just beginning to learn what your body is capable of," he said, his thumb stroking your cheek. "And I'm going to teach you everything."
A profound silence settled over the room, broken only by your ragged breaths and the frantic pounding of your own heart. Spencer didn't move, just watched you with an intensity that was both clinical and deeply intimate. You felt exposed, not just physically, but emotionally, laid bare by the force of your own pleasure.
"Your body is still responding," he observed quietly, his gaze dropping to where your hand still rested between your legs. "The involuntary contractions can last for several minutes. It's called the resolution phase. The blood is still engorging the tissues."
He gently took your wrist, his touch careful as he drew your hand away. He brought your fingers to his lips, his eyes never leaving yours, and slowly, deliberately, licked them clean. The sight was so obscene, so possessive, a fresh jolt of arousal shot through you.
"You taste incredible," he murmured, his voice a low, rough rumble. "Slightly sweet, slightly tangy. The pH balance changes throughout the menstrual cycle, affecting the taste. Right now, it's perfect."
You whimpered, your body already gearing up for more.
"Shh, baby," he soothed, releasing your hand and leaning over you. "Don't rush. The refractory period for women is notoriously shorter than for men. In some cases, it's virtually non-existent. We can build on this sensation, make the next one even stronger." He lowered his head, his lips hovering just above yours. "But first, I need to taste you properly."
His mouth was on yours before you could respond, a deep, claiming kiss that tasted of you and of him. It wasn't gentle; it was hungry, devouring. He kissed you like he was trying to memorize you, his tongue exploring your mouth with the same thoroughness he applied to everything else. You kissed him back with equal fervor, your hands coming up to tangle in his hair, tugging just as you'd imagined so many times.
He groaned into your mouth, his hips pressing into yours, and you could feel the hard, thick length of his erection through his pants. He was so turned on, and it was all because of you.
"Spencer," you gasped as he moved his mouth to your neck, nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin. "Please."
"Please what, sweetheart?" he murmured against your skin. "Use your words. Tell me what you need."
"I need... I need you."
"I know," he said, his voice strained. "And you'll have me. All of me. But we're not done with this yet." He moved down your body, his mouth leaving a trail of fire on your skin. "The perineum," he whispered, his tongue flicking out to taste the sensitive stretch of skin between your vagina and your anus. "Often neglected, but rich with nerve endings. Part of the pudendal nerve network."
You cried out, your hips bucking off the bed. No one had ever touched you there, never with their mouth. The sensation was shocking, electric.
"And then," he continued, his voice muffled as he moved lower, "there's the anus itself. The external sphincter has one of the highest concentrations of nerve endings in the entire body." He gently spread your cheeks, his tongue circling your tight hole. "It's not for everyone, but for those who enjoy it... it can be incredibly intense."
You were writhing now, your body a live wire of sensation. "Spencer, please," you begged, not even sure what you were begging for.
"Patience, baby," he chided, his voice a low chuckle. "We're getting there." He moved back up, his face hovering over your dripping core. "Now for the main event. Cunnilingus. From the Latin 'cunnus' for vulva and 'lingere' to lick." He looked up at you, his eyes dark with desire. "I'm going to use my tongue on your clitoris, baby. I'm going to make you cum again baby but this time on my mouth. I know you have it in you so I'm not going to stop until you do okay? I've been wanting to taste this pretty pussy for so long are you going to let me baby?"
"yes," you moaned at the mental image forming in your head, "yes sir."
"fuck," spencer groaned, "you're so perfect."
And then his mouth was on you, his tongue delving into your folds, licking and sucking with a skill that left you breathless. He was relentless, his tongue exploring every inch of you, his lips closing around your clit and sucking hard. You were lost, your body a vessel for pleasure, your mind gone.
"Spencer!" you screamed, your hands fisting in his hair, holding him to you. "Please, don't stop."
He didn't. He doubled his efforts, his tongue flicking your clit in a rapid, staccato rhythm while he slid two fingers inside you, curling them up to stroke that sensitive spot deep within. The combination was devastating, a perfect storm of sensation that sent you spiraling towards the edge again.
"That's it, baby," he growled against your core, his voice muffled. "Cum for me. Let me taste you. Give me everything."
And you did. You came with a force that terrified you, your body convulsing, your vision blacking out, a scream tearing from your throat. It was even more intense than the first one, a tidal wave of pleasure that threatened to drown you.
When you came back to yourself, Spencer was still there, his face glistening with your cum, a look of pure, unadulterated triumph on his face.
"Two," he said, his voice a low, satisfied purr. "And that's just the beginning."
The world slowly came back into focus, not all at once, but in soft, hazy increments. The first thing you registered was the gentle weight of Spencer's hand on your trembling thigh, a grounding point in the sea of sensation you were still floating in. The second was his breathing, a steady, controlled rhythm that contrasted sharply with your own ragged gasps.
He didn't speak. He just watched you, his gaze soft but analytical, like a scientist observing a fascinating new phenomenon. He was giving you time, letting your body ride out the lingering aftershocks that were still making your muscles quiver.
"Your heart rate is approximately one hundred and ten beats per minute," he finally murmured, his voice a low vibration that you felt more than heard. "Elevated, but decreasing. The post-orgasmic prolactin surge is likely kicking in, creating that feeling of deep relaxation. It's nature's way of ensuring you rest and process the experience."
A weak laugh escaped your lips. "Only you would turn the best orgasm of my life into a biology lesson."
A small, genuine smile touched his mouth. "It's all biology, baby. Beautiful, messy, perfect biology." He shifted, moving to lie beside you, propping his head up on his hand. "How do you feel? Be specific. Describe the sensations."
You took a moment to assess yourself. "Tingly. All over. Like... like my skin is too small for my body. And heavy. So heavy, but in a good way. Like I could sink right through the mattress."
"That's the myotonia," he explained, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on your stomach. "The muscle tension that builds during arousal and release. It leaves you feeling limp, pliant. It's why you're so responsive to touch right now. Your nerve endings are still firing at an elevated rate."
His touch was light, almost absent-minded, but it was setting you on fire all over again. You could feel the heat building between your legs, a slow, deep ache.
"Again?" you asked, your voice filled with wonder.
"We can," he said softly. "But not like that. Not yet." He leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your shoulder. "Rushing from one orgasm to the next can be overwhelming. It can desensitize the clitoral glans, making subsequent orgasms more difficult to achieve. We need to be more strategic."
"Strategic?" you repeated, a breathless laugh escaping you. "You make it sound like a military operation."
"In a way, it is," he said, his mouth moving to the sensitive skin of your neck. "It's a campaign for pleasure. And right now, we're in the reconnaissance phase." He nipped at your earlobe, his tongue swirling around the delicate shell. "We need to map out all the places that make you gasp."
His hands began to roam again, but this time, they were slower, more deliberate. He wasn't trying to get you off; he was exploring. He traced the line of your collarbone, his fingers dipping into the hollows of your throat. He skimmed his knuckles down the sides of your ribs, counting them one by one.
"Twenty-four," he whispered, his lips following the path of his fingers. "Protective cage for your heart and lungs. But so sensitive to touch."
You were melting, your body turning to liquid under his ministrations. This was a different kind of pleasure, slower, deeper, more intimate. It wasn't about the frantic chase for release; it was about the journey itself.
"Spencer," you breathed, your hands coming up to rest on his back, feeling the shift of his muscles under his shirt.
"Yes, baby?"
"Take this off," you tugged at his shirt. "I want to feel you."
He hesitated for a moment, a flicker of somethingâvulnerability, perhapsâin his eyes. Then he nodded, sitting up to pull his shirt over his head. Your breath caught. You'd seen him without a shirt before, on beach trips, but this was different. This was Spencer, your Spencer, bared to you in the soft lamplight of his bedroom.
He was leaner than you'd expected, his body a roadmap of pale skin and wiry muscle. There was a thin, silvery scar on his side, and another on his shoulder. You reached out, your fingers tracing the scar on his side.
"What happened here?" you asked softly.
"Gunshot wound," he said, his voice quiet. "A few years ago."
Your heart clenched. You knew, of course, about the dangers of his job, but seeing the evidence of it on his body made it terrifyingly real.
"Hey," he said, his voice gentle as he covered your hand with his. "I'm okay. It's all part of the past."
You looked up at him, your eyes meeting his. And in that moment, you saw it allâthe genius, the profiler, the teacher, the man who had seen too much, the man who was offering you a piece of himself that he'd never offered to anyone else.
"Come here," you whispered, pulling him down for a kiss.
It was different this time. Slower, deeper, more tender. It wasn't about hunger or desperation; it was about connection. It was about the quiet intimacy of two people who had seen each other at their most vulnerable and had chosen to stay.
"I want you," you murmured against his lips. "All of you."
"I know," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "And you'll have me, we have one more step for today if you're up for it."
He moved back down your body, his mouth leaving a trail of soft, wet kisses. "We've explored the external," he said, his voice a low whisper against your skin. "Now it's time to go deeper."
His hands left your waist, moving to the button of his trousers. You watched, your breath held tight in your chest, as he undid them with quick, efficient movements. The fabric slid down his narrow hips, taking his boxers with it, and your eyes widened.
Oh.
He was built like the rest of himâall long lines and surprising substance. Your gaze traced the proud, rigid length of him, the flushed head already glistening at the tip. It wasn't just long; it was the thick, solid weight of him that made your mouth go dry, a formidable presence that promised a challenge, a stretch. A thatch of soft, brown curls nestled at the base, and the sight sent a dizzying rush of pure, unadulterated desire through you. This wasn't just a part of him; it was a statement, a quiet, undeniable proof of the power he usually kept so carefully restrained.
He reached for his nightstand, the movement pulling you from your reverie. He pulled out a foil packet, ripping it open with his teeth before rolling the latex on with practiced, steady ease. He positioned himself between your legs, his eyes fixed on yours. "I'm going to enter you, baby. But I'm not going to move. I'm just going to let you feel me. Let you get used to the sensation of being filled."
He leaned forward, his forearms braced on the bed beside your head, and positioned himself at your entrance. He didn't push, just rested the tip of his cock against your wet, swollen folds. The contact was electric, a promise of everything to come, and you gasped at the sheer intimacy of it.
"Tell me if you want me to stop," he said, his voice strained with the effort of holding back.
"Don't stop," you breathed, your hands gripping his shoulders.
Slowly, inch by excruciating inch, he pushed into you. It was a stretch, a delicious, overwhelming fullness that stole your breath. He was bigger than you'd expected, his thickness pressing against your inner walls in a way that sent sparks of pleasure shooting through you.
When he was finally fully seated inside you, he stopped, his body still, his weight resting on his elbows. He just looked at you, his eyes dark with an emotion that took your breath away.
"How does that feel?" he asked, his voice a low rumble.
"Full," you gasped. "So full. It's... it's incredible."
"Good," he murmured, his hips rocking slightly, a tiny, experimental movement that made you cry out. "That's just the beginning, baby. That's just the first taste of what it feels like to be completely and utterly mine."
He remained still, a statue of restraint above you, and the stillness itself became a form of exquisite torture. You could feel every single inch of him, the thick, hard length of him stretching you, filling you completely. Your inner muscles clenched around him, an involuntary spasm that made him hiss in a sharp breath.
"Easy, baby," he murmured, his voice a low, strained vibration against your throat. "Don't do that. Don't rush. Just... feel."
His words were a command, but they were also a gift. He was forcing you to slow down, to experience every nuance of the moment. You closed your eyes, focusing inward, cataloging the sensations. The pressure, the fullness, the heat of him, the way your body seemed to mold itself to his shape, as if they were two pieces of a puzzle you hadn't even realized were missing each other.
"The vaginal canal is remarkably elastic," he began, his voice a low, hypnotic drone that was somehow both incredibly arousing and deeply comforting. "It can expand significantly, but it's also rich with nerve endings, particularly in the outer third. What you're feeling now, that intense pressure, is the stimulation of those nerve endings. The deeper penetration primarily stimulates the internal structuresâthe cervix, the anterior fornix."
He shifted slightly, a tiny, almost imperceptible movement, and you cried out, your hips bucking up to meet him.
"Shh," he soothed, his hand coming to rest on your hip, holding you still. "I know. It's a lot. But we need to take it slow. Your body is still adjusting to the intensity of the stimulation. We need to give your nervous system time to process the input."
"Spencer," you begged, your hands fisting in the sheets. "Please. I need... I need more."
"I know, baby," he said, his voice thick with sympathy and desire. "And you'll get it. But first, I want you to do something for me."
He leaned down, his lips brushing against your ear. "I want you to bear down. Just a little. Like you're trying to push me out."
You looked at him, your eyes wide with confusion. "What? Why?"
"Just trust me," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "Do it."
You took a deep breath, then did as he asked, bearing down slightly. The sensation was immediate, and incredible. As you pushed down, his cock seemed to sink even deeper into you, hitting a spot deep inside that made you see stars. At the same time, the pressure on your clit intensified, sending a jolt of pure pleasure through you.
"Oh god," you cried out, your back arching off the bed.
"Good girl," he murmured, his voice a low, satisfied purr. "That's it. That's the anterior fornix, also known as the A-spot. It's a highly sensitive erogenous zone located deep inside the vagina, near the cervix. Stimulating it can lead to incredibly intense, full-body orgasms."
He began to move then, but not with the frantic thrusting you were used to. His movements were slow, deliberate, a deep, grinding rhythm that seemed to touch every part of you at once. Each time he bottomed out, he would pause, letting you feel the full, overwhelming pressure, before pulling back just as slowly.
"Feel that?" he asked, his voice a low, strained whisper. "Feel how I'm filling you up? How your body is opening up to receive me?"
You could only nod, your words lost in a haze of pleasure. This was different, so different from anything you'd ever experienced. It wasn't just about the physical act; it was about the connection, the intimacy, the way he seemed to know your body better than you did yourself.
"You're so tight, baby," he groaned, his hips grinding against yours. "So wet. So perfect for me."
He shifted his angle slightly, and suddenly, the stimulation on your clit intensified, his pubic bone rubbing against it with each deep thrust. The combination of the deep, internal pressure and the external friction was intoxicating, a slow, steady build towards an orgasm that you knew would be unlike anything you'd ever experienced before.
"Spencer," you gasped, your hands coming up to grip his shoulders, your nails digging into his skin. "I'm... I'm close."
"I know," he said, his voice a low, triumphant growl. "I can feel it. Your muscles are starting to contract. You're getting so tight around me."
He increased his pace slightly, his movements becoming more deliberate, more purposeful. He was chasing your orgasm, but he was doing it with a surgeon's precision, with a scientist's understanding of the female body.
"That's it, baby," he urged, his voice a low, commanding whisper. "Let go. Give it to me. Cum for me. Cum all over my cock."
And with a final, deep thrust, you did. You came with a force that shattered you, a scream tearing from your throat as your body convulsed around him. It was a full-body orgasm, a tidal wave of pleasure that started deep inside you and radiated outwards, consuming you entirely.
As you came down from the high, Spencer was still there, his body still buried deep inside yours, his eyes soft, a gentle smile on his face.
"Three," he said, his voice a low, satisfied purr.Â
The world didn't just come back into focus; it seemed to have been entirely remade. The air in the room felt thicker, charged with the energy of what had just happened. Spencer remained inside you, not moving, just letting you adjust, letting the last tremors of your orgasm subside around him. He was a warm, heavy weight, a solid presence that anchored you to the earth when you felt like you might float away.
He lowered his head, not to kiss you, but to press his forehead against yours. His breathing was ragged, his heart hammering against your chest. He hadn't found his own release, you realized with a jolt. He had been so focused on you, on teaching you, that he had completely ignored his own needs.
"Spencer," you whispered, your voice hoarse. "You didn't..."
"Shh," he murmured, his eyes closing. "This wasn't about me. This was about you. About showing you." He finally pulled out of you slowly, carefully, and the loss was immediate and profound. He dealt with the condom in the bathroom, returning a moment later with a warm, damp cloth.
You lay there, feeling exposed and vulnerable, as he gently cleaned you up. His touch was reverent, his movements careful and precise. It was the most intimate thing you had ever experienced, more intimate than the sex itself.
"There," he said softly, tossing the cloth aside and pulling the covers over both of you. He settled beside you, pulling you into his arms, your head resting on his chest. You could feel the steady, reassuring beat of his heart beneath your ear.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, his voice a low rumble in his chest.
"I don't have words for it," you admitted, your fingers tracing patterns on his skin. "It was... like my body was a foreign country, and you were the only one who had a map."
A small smile touched his lips. "I just have a lot of reference material," he said, his hand stroking your hair. "The female orgasm is a fascinating subject. Did you know that the clitoral-urethral-vaginal complex, the entire network of structures responsible for female pleasure, is actually the size of a wishbone? Most of it is internal."
"I feel like I've just been on a field trip," you said, a sleepy laugh escaping you. "A very, very good field trip."
He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest. "There's still more to see," he said, his voice soft. "But not tonight. Tonight, we just rest."
âSo theyâll be a next time?â
âIf youâll have me?â
âYes, Spencer, Iâll always want you.â
You lay in comfortable silence for a long time, the only sounds the steady rhythm of your breathing and the distant hum of the city outside. You felt safe, cherished, in a way you never had before.
"Spencer?" you said quietly.
"Hmm?"
"Why did you... why did you do this for me?"
He was quiet for a moment, like he was weighing every word before he let himself say it. "Because I hate the idea of you going through life missing something so fundamental," he said finally. "Because I've seen so much darkness in this job, in this world, and I wanted â just once â to be the reason something good happened to you instead." He paused, and you felt him take a breath, like he was steadying himself for something he'd rehearsed a hundred times and still wasn't ready for. "And because I've been in love with you for three years. The thought of you never knowing what it felt like to be wanted, completely, by someone who actually paid attention â I couldn't stand it anymore."
Your breath caught in your throat. You lifted your head to look at him, eyes wide, sure you'd misheard. "What?"
"I love you," he said again, steadier this time, like saying it once had used up all his fear. "Not as a friend. Not as a colleague. As the person I want to wake up next to for the rest of my life, if you'll let me. I've rewritten this confession in my head probably two hundred times, tried to find the perfect moment, the perfect words â and there never was one. So tonight I stopped waiting for the right time to say it, and just tried to show you instead."
Tears welled in your eyes, hot and sudden. You'd spent so long insisting that you didn't find him attractive, that he was just your best friend, that whatever you felt was loneliness dressed up as something else. But hearing him say it out loud, watching him hand you his fear like it was the safest thing in the world â you couldn't lie to yourself anymore. You never really could. You'd just been good at pretending.
"I love you too," you whispered, and the words felt strange in your mouth, like a language you'd never let yourself speak before. "I think I have for a long time. I was just too scared to say it first."
He leaned in, and the kiss that followed wasn't hungry â it was slow, careful, almost reverent, like he was sealing a promise rather than starting something. Like he needed you to feel every ounce of finally in it.
When he pulled back, he was smiling â not his usual crooked, nervous half-smile, but something wide open or unguarded, a smile you didn't think you'd ever seen on him before.
"So," he said, voice light, "what do we do now?"
"Well," you said, a matching smile spreading across your face. "I think we should probably go on a date. A real one. With dinner and a movie. And then maybe we can come back here and you can teach me about the male orgasm..."
He laughed, a full, rich sound that filled the room. "I think that can be arranged," he said, pulling you closer. "But for now, let's just sleep. We've had a big night."
And as you drifted off to sleep in his arms, you knew that this was just the beginning of a whole new chapter in your life, a chapter that you couldn't wait to write with him.

Im planning on writing a Spencer Reid x Forensic (generalist) Scientist called Office Crush.
Itâs pre-relationship and if anyone is interested in moments they wanna see reader do (i.e gossiping with Garcia about her crush, watching Spencer be sassy ect ect. Feel free to send an ask or even comment what you want!! I am in serious need of ideas (i want i to be a series and to write the relationship evolve between the two. But the only moment i have in my small pebble brain is the one where Spence stares down Morgan like âr u frâ when Morgan asked if he was sure about his information. )
Edit: there will be banter between Garcia and reader and CANNON. PENELOPE.X.MORGAN.
Anyways have a blessed day!! And look out for it!!! :))
AN: Rant post. About my past unhealthy coping mechanisms. Reader uses such coping mechanisms. If you use mechanisms like these seek help if your ready and want change :)) have a blessed time! (This was all because Emily compared her trauma with Reids and it triggered me :). was watching CM to get inspired for an ask from @masivechaos and watched S7E2 for the instant time and had a lot of feelings. (Sorry if it sucks i was emotional)
CW:Unhealthy coping mechanisms. Reader hurts herself to stop crying. Loss of emotion and feeling empty. Sad-ish ending (not devastating just sit with your emotions sad.) Pissed off Reader. IDK what to call it but trauma and hurting and things
WC: 1005 Words :)
Emilyâs voice is quiet. As if it were a secret she was sharing. Spencer who sat across from her, let is eyes scan the page absentmindedly. Masking. You knew it like the back of your hand. Covering the grief. The pain that sank so deep you couldnât see past it. Couldnât breathe without a reminder of it. Like a thorn in your side, or a broken rib.
âYou mourned the loss of a friend.â Emily starts. âBut I mourned the loss of six.â Her words pieced through the air, cracking your facade. Making an ugly amalgamation of anger, fear, and grief rear its disgusting head. You simmered in the silence. Mentally battling with yourself. You couldn't let yourself take it out on Emily cause you were triggered by her words. But then your eyes met Spencer.
His shoulders shrunk. Just like they did when you watched him storm off away from JJ. Just like they did when he was put down. Misunderstood. The battle was lost.
âEmily.â You punctuated. You could practically hear everyone's heads as they snapped to look at you. Your eyes were hardened when hers slid over to look at you. You continued, âthis plane is not big enough for what you just said.â
Morgan's eyebrows shot up. JJ freezes. The rustle of paper as both Hotch and Rossi lower the files in their hands. Garciaâs eyes widen to the ice of saucers as a low, âoh no..â leaves her mouth.
Emily frowns at you, âI didnâtââ
You raise a palm to stop her. âYes you did Emily.â you look up at her. âYou took his completely valid feelings and covered them with your own pain. Making yours feel more than his.â
Emily blinks. Opening her mouth, "I didn't do that.â
You begin pointing, not aggressively. Enough. Enough to make sure you punctuate every word. âYou took his traumaâone lossâand your own traumaâsix lossesâand stacked them against each other."
Spencer didn't move. Nobody moved.
âThat is by definition a comparison.â You clarify. âYou took your trauma and made his sound smaller by comparing themâ Your eyes level hers.
âThatâs not what I meant.â She started. âIt doesn't matter. Thatâs what you just did Emily.â You never raised your voice.
Emily opens her mouth to say something. Nothing comes out. So you continue, âYou compartmentalize better than anyone ive ever met. Thatâs how you adjust.â You pause.
âBecause youâre Emily Prentiss."You point to Spencer. âHe isnât Emily Prentiss. His name is Spencer Reid.â Your words hang in the air. Gathering tension to them like a sponge. âHe deserves to heal on his own timeline. He doesn't owe you a faster recovery. Or JJ. Or Hotch. Especially not because someone else suffered more.â
No one speaks. Not Morgan cracking a joke or chuckling to release tension. Or Rossi to lighten the load. Everyone is stunned into silence. Garcia has both hands covering her mouth now
Hotch finally decides to step in. He stands up and gets your attention by saying your name. âI said to blame it on me.â
You scoffed. Trying to will the tears to stop burning your lash line where they gathered. Begging the knot in your throat to loosen. Your stomach to stop dropping. Disbelief sank into your features as you stared at him, Heâs still trying to cover it up. To make it all âokayâ again.
âNo,â you shake your head. Your breathing begins to hitch. A tear spills out. âNo, I am not going to pretend this didn't happen. That you and JJ. And now Emily tried to make him feel less than because he isnât okay on your timeline.â
The dam breaks. Full hiccupping sobs begin to shake your frame. Your fingers dig into your chest as you point at yourself desperate, âI was hurt. I am hurtâ you cry out. âI was betrayed. By the people Iâm supposed to trust with my life.â Your voice cracks. âI forgaveââ you gasped, trying to breatheââbecause i understood.â
she turns to look at Emily, cheeks damp with tears. âAm I less cause Iâm hurt? Cause Iâm not fully healed yet?â You laughs humorless as you gather everyone expressions. Unworthy. Your mind screamed. They cannot be trusted with this information. A sick voice whispered in your ear, hide. They will use your pain against you. They cannot be trusted.
Your hand clamps over your mouth hard. Nails biting into the skin on your cheeks. Hard enough to hurt. Enough for it to tear the attention fo the crew as you tried to regulate your emotions. Your eyes squeezed shut for a moment. Then nothing. The pain, betrayal, anger, hurt. All gone. All that was left was an ice cold numbness that sank into your veins.
It was instant.
Your breathing steadied. Eyes no longer crying. Body stilling.
You released your mouth. Watching as Emilyâs face twisted into confusion, and when she met your eyes, a mix of concern and hurt.
It was frighteningly sudden to everyone else. How you could switch from such sadness to nothingness. There wasnât anything in your eyes as you looked over them. Garcia met your gaze with a sob. her eyes catching on the four deep crescent shaped nail indents that mark your cheeks.
Wiping your cheeks with unsettling steadiness. You start, âBottom line.â This time your nose. âDonât compare trauma.â This time your cheek, not even to relieve the skin, you pushed at it like you were flicking off dust. âItâs emotionally immature.â
You turn back to your seat. Picking up your headphones and putting them on with practice ease. Thatâs it. you turn out the window. The numbness spreads to your ears as you focus on your music and ignore the other people for as long as this flight lasts. You unfocus your gaze, sinking into the small part of your brain that's safe. That's protected when you dont feel safe in the real world. One that cannot be taken from you. Even when you are hurt by those you trusted with your emotions.
Im planning on writing a Spencer Reid x Forensic (generalist) Scientist called Office Crush.

The case was finally over. The unsub was officially, finally, in custody. The mother, who had been kidnapped, was found aliveâ Exhausted, terrified, but safe.
Now all that remained was waiting for the mother to be transported back to the local authorities. Which had left one energetic eighteen-month-old sitting in the corner of the sheriffâs conference room. He had remained in that room, wandering with wide curious eyes for the last twelve and a half hours.
He was far too young to answer questions. Far too young to understand why his mommy wasnât in the room yet. So the little boy did what toddlers do best. He continued wandering.
Emily smiled as he toddled uncertainly across the carpet. She murmured, âsomeoneâs got places to be.â
Morgan chuckled, âLittle man is on a mission.â
The mission turned out to be you, as it became obvious the second he spotted you. His entire face lit up. The chub of his baby fat lifting as he smiled his gums up at you, eyes squinting in with soft wrinkles forming around his big doe eyes.
âThere you are!!â You beamed, immediately crouching down and meeting his eyes. âHi sweetheart.â
In response, the little boy squealed. Mouth wide, eyes shut, excited squeal. The sound made your smile wider. Oh how that noise soothed your soul.
Tiny feet pattering as fast as they could carry him before he practically launched himself into your arms. You laughed, catching him with practiced ease.
âOh my goodness!â She semi-squealed back in excitement. The baby boy buried his face into your shoulder for exactly two seconds before leaning back to look up at you. Then he giggled again.
âOh that's a happy baby boy,â you whispered. A hand coming up to cradle the back of his head so he wouldnât lose balance.
Spencer couldnât help but smile.
âYouâve only known him for a few minutes,â Morgan commented.â
She turned towards him, eyes never actually leaving the baby you cradled. âIâve been the one hes most comfortable with while you guys were catching the unsub.â
She leaned down to press her forehead into his before rubbing it and blowing a raspberry in his neck. âSo give or take 2 and a half hours.â You spoke to Morgan in a baby voice. The baby giggles infectiously as he fights to flee from the ticklish feeling.
Only for him to plop into your lap. Staring at you with those large curious eyes, the little boy reached up and patted your cheek. You gasped dramatically. Whispering a small, âhigh five?â
Then he slapped your face instead. It didn't hurt, his little cubby hands did nothing but softly plap against your cheek, but Morganâs roaring laughter could, in fact, be heard.
He quaked with laughter, âHe got you good!â
The smile never left your face as the toddler began clapping for himself.
âSo proud,â Emily smiled. You had sat down fully onto the carpet. The little boy wasted no time and climbed into your lap. Then back out. Then into your lap again.
âBusy day? You asked him. He answered with complete and utter nonsense. You nodded solemnly, âI completely agree.â
Spencer finally looked up from where he was pretending to review paperwork. He tilted his head, ââŚWhat, exactly are you agreeing with?â
You simply shrugged, âHe made a pretty compelling argument." The little boy giggled, almost as if in agreement. Spencer smiled despite himself
A few minutes later, the toddler wiggled away from you. He took off across the room in that wonderfully unstable toddler run that looked more like falling with confidence. Or the first few steps of a baby deer, shaky legs but pure determination.
âOh no..â Morgan muttered.
You saw it too. The lip of the rug in the middle of the room was lifted. Just enough for the toddlers' feet to catch if they went for it. Which this baby boy was gunning for. The little boy's foot caught on the edge of the rug, pitching him forward.
While everyone else inhaled, you reacted. You threw yourself sideways, rolling across the carpet just enough to slide your arm underneath him before her could hit the floor.
Instead of landing face-first, he landed on you. There was a moment of silence, where the little boy looked down at your face. Looked back up to where he was walking. Then back down at you. You crossed your eyes dramatically and made an awfully embarrassing noise. A dramatic âHeyuckâ left your lips.
He exploded into giggles. The loud, breathless kind that bade his small baby body bounce.
âOh!â You laughed. âWas that funny?â
He reached over and grabbed your nose. You pretended to be absolutely shocked. Squealing about how you lost it, and more squeals and giggles left his small body.
Spencer had completely stopped reading. He couldnât take his eyes off of you. The way you never seemed embarrassed. How you didn't even think before you threw yourself onto the floor. The way you currently held the boy so gently. How the boy looked at you like you hung the moon.
âHe really likes her,â Emily said quietly. Morgan snorted, âLikes?â
The toddler had already crawled back into your lap. Again. He began reaching both of his little arms toward your face. Then leaned his forehead against your own. Two little hands fisting your hair. Morgan smiled, âThat kid is obsessed.â
âKids are a good judge of character,â Rossi folded his arms.
Hotch watched as the little boy looked around the room. The second you shifted to grab one of his toy cars, he wined. Soft little hands opening and closing in your direction. You came right back. Whispering, âIâm not going anywhere.â
Instantly the baby was once again content. Emily made a hushed comment on how the baby didn't seem interested in anyone else. As if to prove her point, Morgan crouched down.
âHey buddy,â he murmured lowly. Coaxing the baby toward him with open arms. The toddler looked at him. Then immediately turned back toward you, burring his face against your shoulder. He chose to instead peek out of the small space between your shoulder and where he was nuzzled into it to look at Morgan.
Derek Morgan, ever the dramatic, clutched his chest. âIâve been rejected,â he sighed dejectedly.
You giggled at his little show. The little boy leaning back to show you a giant gummy smile.
Spencer couldnât stop the smile from forming on his face.
¡ ¡ â ¡âśÂˇ â ¡ ¡
Soon the boy had to be returned to his mother. Though it was sad to watch as he whined and reached for you, it didn't take more than seeing his mother for him to become distracted.
âSo,â Morgan started, âIf none of us worked here, what would you be doing?â The question had come as a surprise. You looked at him confused, watching as he looked pointedly at each person in the jet. You looked over at JJ, confused, only to see her swamped in files.
Emily answered first, âIâd still end up in law enforcement somehow.â
âIâd probably be writing,â Rossi chuckled.
Hotch put his report into his lap and looked up. âI honestly don't know,â was all you received before he was back into his work.
Nodding, you watched as Morgan turned to Spencer. âPretty boy?â
Spencer paused, thoroughly thinking through the question. âI think I would pursue academia. Teaching, researchâŚmaybe even something like forensics.â
You smiled at his answer, it was very much like him. Morgan nodded along with the rest of the team. Then everyone turned to look at you. You winced under their piercing gaze, even Hotch lowered his report to raise an eyebrow.
âYour turn.â Morgan prodded before you could even question their stares. Honestly you didnât think youâd be involved in this conversation. You had only worked for them for roughly a year. So with a sigh, you murmured a small, âmy biggest dream?â
âI would want to be a mom.â your chest warmed. âWhether stay-at-home, or working,â you clarified. Offering a shy smile.
You heard the silence stretch across the cabin. and you shrugged lightly, almost embarrassed at your own answer.
âI dont kno. it might sound simple, but Iâve always dreamed of a little house. Nothing huge,â you gestured with your hands. âJust big enough, and a garden. One growing an abundant of fruits and veggies to support us.â You smiled.
âone with those tomatoes that no matter how perfect they look always taste better than store bought,â You caught as Rossi started to smile. âi want flowers around the fence. Sunflowers, daisies too. I want herbs that I accidentally forget to water until it rains.â
Emily snorted at you. IT didnt deter the fire burning in your heart. âI want a porch swing, and a dog. One that tracks mud through the entire house and into the kitchen for a snack.â You paused and smiled wider, remembering how the little boy clung to you so tightly when you had to part. âI want finger-painted masterpieces that are..â you giggled, â..objectively terrible. But theyâre mine.â
Morgan couldnât help but smile as you continued, fidgeting with your fingers. âI want a bunch of little ones running around. I want to bake cookies and get flour on the floor. To bandage their scraped knees. To cheer embarrassingly loud at soccer games, or dance practice. And every Halloween i want to make their costumes, even if theyâre crooked.â Your smile began to soften.
Fading into something moreâŚcomfortable. âI just want to spend my life, making a home where each and every person who comes in, whether it be forever or for a night, that they will feel safe. And so⌠unbelievably happy.â
Another silence stretched. But this one wasnât awkward. It wasnât harsh. No one rushed to fill it. Every word that had left your mouth twisted and transformed the atmosphere into something softer. The words that had left your mouth genuine and excited for what the future might hold.
It sounded heavy all the same, as if youâd been carrying it for years. Long enough to mull in over in your head, repeatedly. Enough so, that sometimes you feel as if its right in front of you but yet, so far out of reach.
Looking around, as if snapped out of a trance, you could see everyone staring at you. Their eyes softened, fondness shining especially bright in Rossiâs eyes.
âIâve never heard anyone describe a dream like that,â he smiled at you. Almost fatherly in the way his face wrinkled at the corner of his eyes. You smiled sheepishly
Across the aisle, Spencer hadnât said a word. He couldn't. His brain had stopped somewhere around: âA garden in the back yard.â Or was it a bunch of little ones running aroundâ
His hand slid slowly down his face, pulling the skin with it before he slouched over. Shuffling towards the window. Morgan noticed first. Upon realization he nudged Emily. Emily looked, then quickly snapped her head away to hide her grin.
Rossi followed their gaze. He saw Spencer staring at you with the most hopelessly softened expression heâd ever seen. Rossi turned toward Hotch. He whispered a small, âHeâs gone.â
Hotch didn't even pretend to misunderstand. He glanced over at Spencer. Turning his gaze back to Rossi, he quietly replied, âCompletely.â
Spencer prayed and hoped they would stop staring. The straining in his tight dress slacks was starting to become too prominent. He pressed the pillow which had been behind his head, into his lap. Whether to search for friction or to cover the evidence, he didnât know. The image of you pregnant and glowing was burned into his mind every time he closed his eyes. All he could see was you. Waddling, a beautiful hour, a gorgeous garden. God how he wanted it. That image burned into the depths of this mind.
Curse that eidetic memory of his. Curse how you were so beautiful that you left him nothing but a puddle of need. Curse how you made him feel like a teenager stuck in a rut.
Curse that you didn't even know how it affected him.
