Kaveh was someone you held close in your heart. Very close. You wanted to make him feel wanted as much as you could.
On a sunny afternoon, you had just completed your commissions and went to get your reward when Kathryne noticed you. “Ah! Welcome traveller. Here are your rewards, also, have you heard what Kavehs been saying about you?” You perk your head up suddenly in surprise and confusion. “Oh!” Kathryne says. “It’s nothing bad, quite sweet actually. Yesterday, I heard him talking about your smile. He said,
“It could light up the room, no, light up the stars.” He said.”
You were intrigued by this. You thank Kathryne before heading off on your new quest, What was Kaveh been saying about you?
Your first stop was the shopping stalls. They were busy and always crowded, so some must’ve heard something.
You talk to a few people in hopes of getting some answers.
“Yes! He said he loved how you dress.” A lady selling flowers crowns said.
“Indeed so, he adored the way you laugh.” One of the guards said.
“Mhm! He said that he never wanted to leave your side! Ever!” A young girl exclaimed, holding a small doll.
It felt reassuring that Kaveh felt the same way as you did, enough to tell the whole world about it.
You were about to get some Lavender Melons from Port Ormos went someone tugged your sleeve.
You turned around to see a short old lady with a hunched back and a wobbly cane smiling at you. “You must be Y/N, yes?” She asks, holding out her wrinkled hand.
“Yes, I am. What can I do for you today ma’am?” You asked, shaking her hand.
“Well, I would like you to know that my dear granddaughter was inspired by your work and made a list of all the good things she’s heard about you.” The lady says, reaching into her pocket and handing you a small piece of paper folded up.
You slowly take it and unfold it.
“Y/N is amazing! I could never find someone better then them.”
“I love the way she talks, don’t you?”
“Her style is amazing, I love the way she dresses.”
All of the following sentences made your heart happy. It felt amazing to know he felt all these things for you.
You look up and the old lady is no longer there, but instead you see Alhaitiam and Kaveh walking into a restaurant. Odd, but not suspicious.
The smell of dishes and food fill the air, making you feel hungry. Ah, when was the last time you had a boiled lavender melon?
Whatever, that’s not your task. You’ll make one later.
You look around the restaurant and see Kaveh rambling about something to Alhaitiam, who was as usual, ignoring him and reading a book.
You approach Kaveh from behind, far away so he doesn’t notice you, but close enough that you can hear them.
“They’re the one Alhaitiam! I’m telling you! I could never find someone better! I swear.” Kaveh exclaims, almost spilling his tea over Alhaitiam’s book.
You smile and walk up to him from behind, crossing your arms. Alhaitiam notices you but Kaveh doesn’t. So you make yourself down with a “Hello.”
Kaveh snaps back into reality, out of his daydreaming of you and slowly turns around in his chair.
