Hi I’m back to rant in your inbox again because I keep encountering’TERFS don’t know about trans men’ comments every time the topic of trans men and mascs being forced to use the women’s bathroom. Because they DO know about us. Did people collectively forget Irreversible Damage? Do they close their eyes and plug their ears when TERFs talk about “vulnerable and autistic girls being groomed”? Transphobes of all flavours know about trans men and mascs. They view those of us who can be detransitioned as broken, defective women that need to be violently “fixed” and those of us who are “too far gone” as dangerous perverts. I’m so tired of people who call themselves trans allies doing this. I know it’s not overt transandrophobia but it feels transandrophobic to act like transphobes don’t know about us and don’t intentionally harm us.

i think youre exactly correct - TERFs HAVENT forgotten about transmascs, they just dont view us as “trans,” they view us as either “confused autistic girls who are being groomed” that need to be detransitioned forcibly, or “dangerous perverts who groom people into being trans” that need to be killed and are deserving of violence - either way, we are unpersoned, made invisible, and placed into dangerous spaces. people who argue that transmascs dont experience violence at the hands of TERFs need to do some serious reading on the history of transmaculine people, and how our unique form of marginalization only furthers the violence against us.
