Gotta whip one up by January so I’m currently running around like a headless chicken as I also run my current college group project, safe to say I’m overworked and over stressed but I wanna be smart and have a degree 📜🤓

Not done a self portrait since I was a teenager but felt compelled to draw a photo I took. I went out for a cigarette at my mates house and they gave me a mink coat since it was cold, never felt more like a mob wife in my life so I had to illustrate it. Gave me some good understanding and learning on how to render fur and leather, with the leather glove being my favourite part. Anyway sorry for the lack of posts I’m back in college so cant draw much rn.

Drew this today as I’m trying to figure out lighting and subsurface scattering, I also collect bones so see how light travels through them first hand however I’m not lucky enough to own a human skull just yet so had to use a reference online for this, hope you enjoy tho!!!

Second landscape study, this one took two hours as I wanted it to be a tiny bit more polished yet still very flowy and loose

Wanted to try something totally new and out of my comfort zone, so here is my first ever landscape study!! Only took a hour and a half because I just wanted to get the rough shapes and colours but I’m actually happy with how it turned out !!

Some horse sketches in pen and highlighter only !! I always find myself faffing about with being perfect to the point I forget to just have fun so this is an exorcize I love doing - I have also been making good progress in my riding lessons so my horse inspiration is flowing lol, anyway I hope you all enjoy thank you !!!

Another sketch of medieval fashion!!! Really loved how the colours turned out on this one something about the shading on the bodice is really tickling my brain lol. I need to invest in a good little paint pen to go over the pencil for things such as buttons or chain so hopefully I can do that soon ! I hope you guys enjoy !!!!!! :)

Fun fact about me, I love medieval stuff!!! Every year I go to as many events near me as possible and watch all the beautiful people dress up and reenact the battles, I hope next year to save up and buy myself a dress but for now I’ve just been drawing them! Though I’m used to only using pencil it didn’t feel bold and bright enough to truly convey that medieval feel so I actually added colour for once !!! I hope you guys like it as I have many more to post soon !!!! ♥️

Overall though I’m extremely proud of myself and these may be my new favourite pieces I’ve created, my friend was also very pleased and loved them !!!!

Just a quick tone sketch of a horse, also IM GETTING RIDING LESSONS WOOOOOO. Been out of it for quite a few years now so I’m super hyped to be back so expect way more horse drawings lol

but art is about more then producing perfect pieces all the time, it’s about making mistakes and learning from them. Though I’m still not quite comfortable with sharing all my mistakes I am comfortable making them ! So just remember art is a roller coaster of ups and downs so don’t get stuck on the low points and look up to the exciting new possibilities if you continue to persevere !!!
