Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You made it, after all. You made it, another day. And you can make it one more. You’re doing just fine.

Sometimes I wish these past few years would have been a dream. So I could wake up with the knowledge I’ve learnt from my mistakes, instead of having wasted all this time making them.

When a thing has served its purpose, it will go away. If you try to hold on to something that has already fulfilled its purpose in your life, you are going to hurt yourself. If holding on is disturbing your peace of mind, it makes sense to let go. Surrender all attachments to people and things that you have been struggling to hold on to.

My imagination gave me a dual life: I lived in my body, and at the same time lived a life no one could see.

As fall approaches, I get ready for the trees to teach me the art of letting go.
