There was something seriously wrong ... Of course, Shaw had known that moments ago, but the longer he stood there; staring down ... whatever this was, the sinking in his stomach became more and more apparent. More ominous. The darkness surrounding them on all sides, trying to seep in from the corners of the street light felt like a trap -- like it was preventing him from seeking escape.

And he couldn't move. Shaw prided on being slippery, from finding ways to get out of any situation in which he felt threatened; an important skill to nurture when you were wanted by shady ass organizations. But ... he couldn't fucking move. It was Gavin, but it such as fuck wasn't Gavin, and seeing the shadows of other faces twist and shift just barely ...

He took a small step back, breath catching in his throat as he schooled his expression slowly to hide his discomfort; to hide the way scraps of fear that itched at him.

" -- You're not my fucking brother." It's been awhile since Shaw had willingly referred to Gavin as such, but he still knew him. Knew how he presented, how he came off and how he talked, and whoever -- whatever - this thing, person, monster was, it was not his older brother.

"You made it early tonight --- here to watch me go on later?" There's a curl on his lips, tilting his head just so to wait for the answer; the red panda ears affixed on top of his head with the help of a headband shifting with the motion. "I can make sure you have the best view on the floor ... but that's only if you can manage to convince me."

Shaw was basically just 'bitch if you ever fucking just up and leave me like that again i WILL cry, don't test me -- but yeah welcome back.'

There's a pointed frown - if one looked a bit longer they might even label it as a pout - as he held the stone in the palm of his hand. Sure, the whole point was a 'trick or treat' but, come on?? Even if the cauldron looked a bit questionable, and if the expression on their face looked just a little too happy with themselves, he could of gotten something a bit better than that ! It was the season, wasn't it?

... But then barely a moment later he's given a wrapped piece of candy, and any disapproval on his face melts into a pleased smile.

Oh ... This is adorable.

Shaw has dealt with people coming up to him with flushed faces and words twisting into themselves until the sounds leaving their lips seemed less and less like words the more time went on. It ranged from flattering to irritating, depending on the intensity and his own mood for that day. But Dae-Ho - despite his upsetting-ly boring question the last time they had interacted - was ... cute. The kind of guy whose emotions played plainly on his face, and as gold eyes flickered to said face to give him his full attention, he had to purse his lips to hide the grin that wanted to bloom over his lips. He almost succeeded.

" ... 'Weathering', huh?" He teases, voice dripping in his own amusement. Shaw wasn't on Live House's schedule this evening, neither was Isolated set to perform, so he had all the time in the world to entertain this conversation, arms crossing over his chest as he leans back against the bar; letting the edge dig into the small of his back.

Since I'm here, a small update -- I got really sick Monday and am now just slowly starting to feel better! I'm hoping with me going back to feeling like myself it'll inspire some energy to put down into Shaw and just writing in general, but we'll see -- gotta regulate the change of seasons too tbh.
