my "soft recovery" rules (for myself!):
- >1200cal while remaining within defecit most days with occasional <1000cal "cheat days"; aim for weekly averages of 1400-1600cal
- stretching every day
- exercise every day (workout, walk dog or both)
- concentrate workouts on HIIT, ab & thigh slimming exercises, glute building exercises, cardio stamina + general strength & back strength builing exercises
- increase pace when walking dog
- regular probiotics!
- green tea & honey every morning
- high protein & fiber - aim for (>)2g protein per kg bodyweight per day (vegetarian diet)
- 7k steps per day & raise to 10k with time
- >5 flights of stairs per day
- 7-8 hours sleep a night & get up latest at 9am
- chew gum whenever possible (without overdoing it)
- smoke more weed for appetite; eat whole fruits, vegetables, eggs & nuts
- diet coke for extra energy & satiety on intentional low cal days, especially when eating out
- isotonic drinks, protein shakes, protein bars, vegan skyr with protein/peanut butter powder & fruit smoothie packs for boosting cal intake on unintentional low cal days
- always get fast food (vegan) after tattoo appointments
- do short bursts of cardio/muscle training when doing nothing while waiting around, etc.
- hiking vacations/city vacations with a lot of walking - take transportation to and from vacation spot and while there travel from a to b only on foot (unless impractically far)
- eventually buy vr headset to play beatsaber for fun upper body training
- eventually buy chin up bar
