Hey spn fam, I know we've all been a little down lately with the show finally finished filming so in a attempt to spread some cheer, what's your favorite I Love Lucy episode?
Lay your weary head to rest. Don’t you cry no more.
Go, but go knowing that he died as a hero for the world and for the people he loved.
You will be deeply missed. Thank you.
Supernatural is a success for many reasons:
Firstly, it had a strong creator in Erik Kripke; he had a clear vision of what he wanted on screen, the ultimate arc he wanted to deliver and wasn’t willing to compromise on things that were important to him, e.g. the mullet rock. He led his team and ensured his vision was clearly communicated to his writers, directors, crew and cast.
Kripke was surrounded by extremely talented writers that balanced and grounded his boyish enthusiasm for blood, guts, explosions and gore! with strong characterisation and excellent stand-alone monster of the week episodes and a great balance of weaving in the mytharc but not allowing it to overpower the individual episodes.
He was also supported by amazing directors who got that Supernatural was supposed to be a 1 hour horror story a week and they focused on that aspect. In particular, Kim Manners with his previous work on x-files was very instrumental in ensuring the vision in Kripke’s head was brought to the screen, even in episodes he hated, like bugs.
Supporting all of that were a fantastic crew, most notable for me in terms of what we see on screen is lighting, locations, cinematography, set and props. Plus the behind the scenes crew, special effects and editing.
Last but by no means least, particularly in the early days, an amazing ability by casting to find exceptional talent to support the leads. From Jeffrey Dean Morgan as patriarch John Winchester, to Jim Beaver as Uncle Bobby (who is the only actor besides J2 to appear in all 15 seasons) to Sterling K Brown as Gordon Walker, one of my favourite guest stars to ever appear. Not forgetting the ladies, my three favourites: Ruth Connell as Rowena, Alaina Huffman as Abaddon and Katie Cassidy as Ruby.
Without all of these, Supernatural definitely wouldn’t have got off the ground, let alone been successful, but underpinning all these critical layers, is J2; Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. They, along with Kripke, carried the burden of the success or failure of this show and they did it at age 22 and 26 respectively. They set a strong tone for their set, welcoming and gracious to all guest stars, keeping the set relaxed but ensuring the job still got done and to an exacting quality. Their brotherhood and natural chemistry shines both on and off the sceen. They are the reason, for me at least, that I started watching, and they are they reason I’ll watch to the very last episode and follow them on to Walker and The Boys and whatever else they do because these two men are worth their weight in gold, both on and off the screen and their efforts don’t get talked about enough. Lightning was definitely captured in a bottle the day these two were cast as Sam and Dean Winchester.
You kicked it in the ass. You’re done now, time to lay your weary head(s) to rest.

#we don’t deserve him
It’s hard to believe that the day has come.
After 15 years and a global pandemic, this is the last day that the cast and crew of Supernatural will step foot on set.
It’s the last day of a 15-year story.
It’s the last day of J2 pranks against their costars.
It’s the last day of laughs, bloopers, and behind the scenes fun.
It’s the last day for J2 to work alongside each other as brothers, both on screen and off.
It’s the last day for the family that is this cast to see each other and say goodbye after so many years together.
It’s the last day of a show that so many people have called home and family for so many years.
It’s the day that determines the Winchester legacy for years to come.
And while we fans won’t see the finale for another couple of months, today is the finale for Jensen, Jared, Misha, Alex, and everyone in between. It is truly the end of an era, and it’s hard to imagine.
I can’t even imagine what it’s like for the actors who have been in these characters for so long, especially Jared and Jensen. They practically grew up together on this show. They got married and started families, supporting each other the whole way.
The entire cast, and much of the fandom, all became a family in their own right.
And now it’s the end, and I’m betting none of them really know how to handle that.
I know I don’t.
But, at the same time, deep down, we all know. We know how much this show means, and everything it represents.
And we’ll remember.
Even as the cast and crew post their goodbyes.
Even as they leave us with their final moments.
Even as the tears stream down all of our faces.
We all know.
Supernatural Never Dies.
Thank you, Supernatural.
Thank you. <3 <3
I am heartbroken
A wise man once told me family don’t end in blood, but it doesn’t start there either. Family cares about you, not what you can do for them. Family’s there through the good, bad, all of it. They got your back even when it hurts. That’s family💫♥️
I'm so grateful for this show, this cast, this family and everything its brought along with it.
Thank You Supernatural, from the bottom of my heart💜
Goodbye Men of Letters.... 😭
