“If it gets a pretty woman’s hands on me how is that embarrassing? Sounds more like a win.”

“Well why didn’t you just say you wanted to be touching me in the first place. Maybe we should go in and find a dark corner where we can touch all you like until we get caught.”

Brooks gave her a questioning look, his lips twisting. “Well, can I know what the options are ahead of time?”

“Well if the scare isn’t obvious then you may be lost,” Ryan answered as she pointed to the haunted house attraction. “Otherwise I can help you find something stronger than a drink which is more of an upper. And the last option is a little one on one time with me. I’ve been known to offer plenty of thrills.”

“Your offer alone is very sweet. Though you don’t need to creep. You can enjoy as much as you want right in the open.”

“Just don’t tell anyone else I was being sweet,” Ryan retorted with a wink before throwing an arm around Maggie’s waste and letting her fingertips graze some bare skin. She purposely gazed at the creepy clown as she did it just to see if it would make him give up. “You do look awesome though. Badass and sexy is the perfect look. I was way too lazy to go for it myself but I do appreciate a party. Anything you still want to do that I could maybe accompany you for?”

“Uh. Sure, equal ground. We’ll go with that. You’re the one claiming you can beat me up with zilch to show for it so yeah, let’s arm wrestle so we can put this shit to rest.” 

“Wait hold on...did I never even tell you I was fighting underground for years to make money? I’ve only gotten better and better since. I still do it from time to time just not as much,” Ryan explained with a shrug. “Either way let’s do this! But let’s make it interesting at least. What do I get when I win?”

“Shut up– don’t act as if this costume wasn’t a genius idea. Although, fish die once you soak them in alcohol, you know that right?”

“It may be but I’d like to see a little more skin if I’m being honest. Did you not even look at my costume? I’d take joy in killing your damn fish and then I would be the genius with the best costume. What do you say? Wanna cause a little chaos on the playground with me?”

“Yeah, so what is it? Is it my amazing elephant ass? Cause you can say it. Just for one night I’ll let the bestiality slip.”

“It’s definitely a lot to do with your amazing ass. Possibly entirely. I’ve also never seen an elephant with a sway to their hips quite like yours. Here I’m supposed to be a sadistic bitter bitch and you’re pulling me right out of character. My costume is ruined.”

“Come on. That’s the point of it. It’s so bad that it ends up getting a laugh anyway. Just serves as an ice breaker for better.”

“Oh boy. You expect me to laugh too? Nope. Can’t do it. You broke the ice so hard that now we’re both gonna drown and die which is no laughing matter!”

“Is that candy in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”

“Oh god I might throw up. That was so lame I’m actually upset to see you right now.”

“I’ll just forge your signature and carry you up there,” he jokingly threatened with a bit of a slur in his voice.

“You don’t have to forge my signature. I was a bit more worried about having to carry you through the entire thing. I can totally do it but that might be a bit embarrassing for you.”

“I’m not paranoid! This same clown has been following me around. Every time I think I’m safe… BAM! There he is.”

“Which one was it? He’s about to get a fake axe thrown at his face seeing as that’s the weapon I have and I don’t wanna get in a real fight just yet. Although to be fair it’s probably because you look hot as hell. I’d be creeping too if I was some stranger clown dude.”

“Well, they said I couldn’t get in without a costume so I guess tonight I’m a girl holding a fish. Deal with it.”

“You are such such a dork right now. Time to get you and that little fish a drink!”

“I’m having a good time, I promise! Just need another drink to get past the tired.”

“What you need to wake up is something that gets your pulse racing. I can think of a few ways of that happening already. The solution depends on what you’d enjoy more. Will it be a scare or something a bit more wild?”

“Hey that’s not even similar. You have giant man thumbs and my hands are petite so I’d call you having an unfair advantage. Now if you had said arm wrestle then maybe you could fairly beat me but that’s because we’d be on equal ground.”

Jack: Careful there, you're starting to compliment me and that might be damaging for your rep if people happen to know about it. Sure, but one day you get stuck in a heatwave and all that freezing goes to shit. Nothing wrong with letting your defenses down a little.
