How to Build Emotional Resilience
1. Talk to someone: Sharing how we feel helps to reduce the inner tension (but make sure it is someone who cares about your feelings).
2. Work on improving your self-esteem: Self-esteem is the way you see and feel about yourself … and there are lots of lots of things that undermine our self esteem. For example, experiencing a break up, putting on unwanted weight, doing badly on a test or being excluded by our friends. It’s important that we keep on working on our self-esteem by treating ourselves well and noticing when we succeed (instead of noticing the negatives).
3. Manage your stress levels: If we’re always feelings stressed then it’s hard to cope with life. We tend to over react and have a negative mind set … which drains us of our energy and saps our will to fight. So take a look at your lifestyle and see what you can drop. You may be doing too much, and don’t have time to relax.
4. Make the time and effort to enjoy yourself: Doing things that we enjoy helps to improve the way we feel. So build in little things like having coffee with a friend, or going to a game, or taking time to watch some sports.
5. Choose a healthy life style: Pay attention to your diet and how much you exercise; try to limit alcohol, and don’t deprive yourself of sleep.
6. Develop good relationships: Do your friends make you happy? Do you enjoy their company? Are they kind of people with your best interests at heart? Do they treat you with respect and help to boost your self-esteem? If not, then work on finding new relationships!
Well...ya f@#%ed my ending.
Call of Cthulhu Halloween Special: The three of us are inmates in a psychiatric institute and we’ve just uncovered the evil clam thingy that feeds on memories, like the ones we just got back about our actual lives. My fellow player, upon seeing this thing, has gotten an obligatory insanity mechanic. In this case, she has now had a sexual awakening and is now attracted to slimy things. Also, this was done in Discord, and the player in question lives with the DM.
Player: “Heya, gorgeous! How ‘bout instead of being abused by this jerkward, you let me feed you all the degenerates of the city across the lake?” *succeeds in a persuasion* Me (OOC): …is our DM looking at you like “What the f@#$?!” Player (OOC): Yes he is.
So, instead of the Twilight Zone ending where our memories are wiped and the cycle begins anew, my fellow player flirts with what was presumably an ancient one, killed all the guards and nurses with blood/memory sucking leeches, killed our other player who was also a serial killer and we both leave the island with an army of leeches at her command. DM: Well…ya f@#%ed my ending.
The largest cat in NYC, and possibly the world, is a 28 lb., 4-foot-long Maine Coon named Samson. He’s bigger than most bobcats (and most toddlers), and every day he likes to sit on his owner’s chest first thing in the morning. Source Source 2

Why Do I Feel Unloveable?
Often when people feel unloveable, it is tied into one of the following reasons:
1. As a child, a parent or authority figure either told you – or sent out the message that – you were unloveable. Because of that, you came to believe that your core self was deficient, unacceptable or inadequate. Now you find it hard to believe that anyone could ever love you for just being you.
2. You experienced rejection, desertion or abandonment in one of your closest relationships. Now love feels scary - and is a source of anxiety and fear – rather than of healing and security.
3. You feel regret for something you did, or the way you treated a person you loved. Hence, you don’t believe you deserved to be loved, or you fear you will badly hurt someone again.
4. You have developed a series of flawed beliefs which have coloured your expectations for love. For example, you may have concluded that love leads to pain …. or that no-one can be trusted … or love always ends.
5. A voice in your head says you cannot change so you don’t believe that “you have what it takes”. But none of us is perfect; we’re all on a journey; and if we choose to take a risk then we’ll find that we can change.
