the lyric “and he never thinks of me, except for when i’m on tv, and i never think of him, except on midnights like this” makes me so nostalgic especially that it’s the final line of the song because you can’t put the feeling of losing someone who you loved into words better. this lyric is literally perfect because you are not in each other lives anymore, you both don’t really think about what you had, you moved on and it’s almost like you both never happened. but then there will always be a part of you that will remember, even if it’s once in a year or twice in ten years. the love you once shared will always be a part of you. and yeah i’m crying
