So, I was tagged by @reversingxtime to do a meme sort of thing where I list the muses that I am Rping/have RPed that mean the most to me. It was pretty difficult to pick, considering I enjoy all the characters that I write as, but I’ve narrowed it down to the four that you see here.
1. @ofinnocence (You are here!) - How, I had originally started this blog thinking that I was going to make a Kate, actually. I had the url all set up and everything, but then after playing the episode again, I had decided on Jefferson because he reminded me of an old English teacher that I had. Minus the things that happen in the dark room (I should hope that he never kidnapped or drugged anyone), his mannerisms and way of speaking were very similar and I thought that I could draw inspiration from that in helping me write him, since I had made this blog shortly after episode one and needed some sort of depth to base him off of. However, as the end of episode 4 rolled around, my fondness for this character was dropped almost instantly. I stuck around because I found him to be an interesting character. What makes this muse meaningful to me was the fandom (cheesy, I know). I’ll always have my gripes about what’s going on and such, but the friends I have made in this fandom have been some of the closest I’ve ever made on Tumblr in general. Muse for him is always coming and going, but I don’t plan on deleting him or archiving in the near future.
2. Original character - Now, this guy. Matthew was one of the first OCs that I had let myself put out there. He was actually just supposed to be a side muse to my main blog at the time of making him, but he easily grew to be front and center pretty soon. I’ve put this character through Hell and back, and then some, but my muse for him is always still kind of simmering in the back of my mind, even after a year that I stopped RPing him. Archiving him was a thing I did for personal reasons, but he’s still very much with me. I don’t know if I’ll be reintroducing him to the RP community, he’s certainly fleshed out enough for it, but in the meantime I’ve been wanting to use him in a story of his own. What makes him meaningful to me was that he was one of the first muses that got my foot in the door in regards to Tumblr RP, and will always hold a special place in my heart because of that.
3. @stealhisdeal - Rhys is one of those characters that I kept leaving and coming back to. I made a Rhys blog a total of two times before this portrayal stuck. I’ve always liked Rhys because I could see a lot of myself in him (the way I played him, which may have been intentional, considering how choice-based games are), which is why I also use him as a mun FC. I really like RPing this character and, despite issues with the fandom making me come and go with him, he’s one of the few that I’ll probably be returning to frequently.
4. @fronticrjustice - And, lastly, this dinkface. I’ve always been a fan of T.arantino movies, as much as they are an acquired taste and usually a hit and miss with Tumblr (as far as I have seen), though I’ve never really thought to make a blog from one of his movies. Of course, until this movie came along. I had honestly went between “I’M GONNA DO IT” and “Nah” about me making a a blog for this guy for about a week or so, but eventually I caved and decided to give it a chance. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. This blog is still very new but it’s easily turned into one that I could easily spend my free time on. As for this character himself and why he’s on this list is that he’s a very different change from my usual muses. Westerns are always a thing with me and making this blog has allowed me to play around with it a little bit. As flawed as most of T.arantino’s movies are and the characters in them, this blog has easily became one that I would honestly have to think long and hard about abandoning or deleting.
And thus concludes this essay. Lol I don’t think I’m going to tag anybody (as I am prone to do), but if you want to try this out, feel free!
