Can't take it when I'm gone.

2019- J&J increased most of its drug prices by ~7% (Inflation was ~1.8%).

2020- Astrazeneca hiked prices on its popular drugs by up to 6% (Inflation was ~1%). The company then made a second round of increases after it secured a $1.2B from the U.S. for vaccine development. Astrazeneca made over $3.6B in profit in the first half of 2020.

2021-Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J are prepared to raise the COVID-19 vaccine price after the pandemic is contained in the US. They’ve only resisted hiking the price now to save face while they are being used in the US. Meanwhile, Pfizer hasn’t given access to its vaccine to over 85% of the world.

I’m not seeing anything about this on social media. Certainly I don’t expect to see it covered by the mass media. This is truly something we need to fight back against. Even if you don’t have Comcast\Xfinity, please let your voice be heard.

Amidst a pandemic when we’re all trapped at home, when we’re working from home, schooling from home, and our only entertainment outlets are online, this is cruel and unacceptable. 1.2 terabytes might not be bad for an individual, but if you’re a household of 3 or more, this will be terrible for you.
