Anders: Okay, I need your help.

Anders: I like to think that I know Mason better than anyone else, but every year I panic and can't think of good gifts for her.

Anders: Especially now-a-days, with the tour and really making it big, I feel like she had everything she needs, you know? If she wants something, she just buys it.

Anders: I need a solid 5-10 gift ideas and I swear, I've got nothing.

Anders: Ideas?

Hudson: uhhhhhh.....

Hudson: a nice home cooked meal with you???? maybe i dont know...

“I’m sure she would love it. But she is not allowed to play play cause I’ve heard about all the head things that happen. I’m even scared to let her play soccer but I think my father will disown me if I don’t.” She laughed shaking her head as she looked over at him. “She is a little to rough on your junk isn’t she?” Karla giggled as she watched him pull her legs to protect his lap. She giggled and squeaked a bright sound as she slid onto the could a little. She paused however when he spoke, so he would be going away again. She nodded her head as she looked at Katya. “You want to leave her hear with us while you are away?”She asked as she reached out to pet the pup. 

“Take her to the park and teach her how to be a quarterback?” Karla giggled as she looked over at him. She was surprised as he spoke, about wanting to change or have a more realistic life. She wasn’t really anticipating that. Karla shook her head as he apologized for kissing her. “You don’t need to apologize for that,” she missed kissing him. It had become such a habit before they had broken up. He pulled her close as she hugged him back, until Katya came to start some trouble. Jumping onto his lap she giggled. “How am I going to protect you? She is too cute!”  

“something like that, get the little one just throwing some pigskin around” he chuckled. “she will grow up and we’ll be in the crowd of her first little league football game..” joking of course unless she really liked it and then that’s when hudson would get her whatever she wanted or needed for what she wanted to play or do growing up. “i couldn’t help it -- “ seeing katya jump off of him he just shook his head as he covered his pants with his hand. “she just jumped on my junk i don’t know...” he shook his head with a smile as he pulled her leg up and over his lap. then holding his arm down and snapped his fingers for his pup as she trecked over and he pulled her up and onto his lower chest. “i got some pretty beautiful girls around me, i’m so lucky” he smiled huge. “after thanksgiving i gotta go back to canada for a little bit for the show...well training here first and then going back for like a week or so..” 

“I’m sure she will love that,” Karla nodded as she looked over at him. She felt her cheeks flush when he kissed her. She blinked at him as he told her he was cutting down on escorting. She didn’t say anything just listed curiously. “And is there any reason why you are doing that?” She asked softly pressing her lips together. “Yeah plus the dogs.” He apologized and her heart sank a bit as she shook her head. “Why are you sorry?” 

“i’ll bring a football over even..”he smiled as he then explained himself. “i need to start thinking a realistic life....i don’t need it, i wanna spend my life with the people i love and the one job that really brings me great joy -- not a job i needed when i was younger..” nodding to her. “i never asked you before i kissed you..i should have...” pulling karla closer to him. rubbing her back slowly. “i’m not sorry i kissed you...” the two of them just laid there but katya quickly wanted on as she jumped right onto his lap and he groaned. :it’s a good thing you’re like 8 pounds...” who then quickly got off of his lap. chuckling a little bit. “you need to be on me, protect me kar...” he laughed. 

“That is really adorable.” She nodded with a warm smile as she looked over at him. She couldn’t help but smile around him. He always had a way of making her feel warm. “Yeah? Sure we can, I don’t think Ness knows much about football so I’m just warning you she is going to have a ton of questions. She warned him with a bright giggle as she tucked her hair behind her ear. She turned to looked at him as he leaned in and kissed her. It was brief but sweet and almost startled her for a moment. And then his next words surprised her again. Just one job, “really?” She asked as she looked up at him almost confused or startled she wasn’t entirely sure which. “I um…I think that would be really great, a good tradition to start.” She nodded as she shifted a little. 

“that’s fine...i can teach her all i know about football” he smiled at her. he knew it was a warning because vanessa would do such thing. just all the questions and he would teach her if she wants. kissing her might have been a mistake but it was such a light one. “cutting down on..escorting i’ve been letting clients go here and there and it’s only just down to one...” not that he didn’t really have to explain himself but he wanted too. “yeah i think it would be...just the three of us...well..five..including the dogs..” he mentioned to the littles laying down together. “get a chicken for them..” hudson looked over at karla. “sorry...” 

Karla watched as he made himself comfortable, and smiled wider when he said his grandma would have loved her. “She sounds like a real special lady,” Karla said softly as she looked over at him, it was hard not to just relax whenever she was with him, he was just one of the easiest people for her to be around. “Yeah,” Karla nodded her head in agreement, but still smiled at him. As he leaned over to kiss her nose, as small sound escaped her as she pawed at where he had kissed her. “That would be great, nothing too big though, since it will be just us.” Karla’s heart swelled and ached all at once. She reached over and pushed dome of his dark curls from his eyes. “This is gonna be fun, I’m sure Ness is going to want to help us.” She nodded with a giggle. His arm moved around the back of her and she scooted in closer. “I know, me either,” she admitted softly. “I don’t think I could forgive myself if I ever lost you.” 

“yeah she was..we played checkers right as i got there as a kid..i let her win sometimes” he laughed a little bit as he just laid there with karla. nodding he was going to go early in the morning to get it so it can start defrosting for thursday. “oh god yeah, she can help me make the stuffing..it’s all fun with the three of us..can we watch some football or have it on while we cook??” he always wanted to make sure it was okay with karla. a smile was wide and across his lips. “you never have to worry about that..” he leaned in to kiss her lips gently before putting his head back. he usually was always having thanksgiving alone because of one of the jobs. having cut down significantly on his one to focus on growing himself and his career. "we should start doing thanksgiving every year if you want...i’m really only going to be having the one job really...and it’s nice to spend it with people i love and not alone..”

“Yeah you can come over and help me out.” She nodded with a bright smile as she looked up at him. “Really? Yeah I’ll get a recipe and it will be fun.” She nodded as she scrunched her nose and giggled brightly. She could see how pleased he was to hear that Vanessa wanted him around. Karla smiled as he talked about his grandmother. “Do you think she would have liked me?” Karla asked a bit curious. She rested her head on his shoulder as he spoke. She was surprised by his words she blinked before chewing the inside of her cheek. “No, I’m not seeing anyone right now. I just…I think I should really focus on me. I just want to be the best me I can be before I let anyone else into my life.” She said as she lifted her head to look at him more directly. 

“yeah that will be fun..” he smiled as they laid together on the couch. raising a leg a bit as he placed his foot on the arm of the couch. “i think she would have loved you..i liked spending time with her..more after my mom got remarried..” nodding as he just turned to look at karla. “understandable..” he nodded slowly. he was kind of relieved she wasn’t seeing anyone but he would be happy for her regardless. “you should always focus on yourself, and focus on ness..she and yourself should always come first” hudson pushed his glasses up a little bit. placing a kiss on her nose. “tomorrow i can go and pick up the turkey..before they run out or something..” placing the remote on the table next to them as he put his arm a little bit over his head on the back of the arm they were laying against. being this close with karla, he liked it. he loved it. “i’m glad you and i are like this..losing you is not something i could handle..” 

Karla smiled warmly as he agreed to come with her. “Really? Good, I’m glad, I mean you can bring anything if you want to.” She nodded as she hugged him a little tighter. She looked up at him and smiled. “Of course she wants you there, she was asking if we could get you a stocking this year for Christmas this year,” she admitted sheepishly. She felt as he pulled her hair from her face and was a little surprised by his question. “No, did you wanna bring someone? I was thinking just us three, but if there is someone you wanted to bring of course they are welcome.” 

“do you wanna cook together?? cause if you didn’t get the turkey i can go and get it...and i wanna try and make the stuffing this year...no box..” he said with a smile as he hugged her back tighter. looking over at karla, his heart melted honestly hearing that with vanessa, that little girl had his heart. “really?? i can bring mine over that my grandmother made me when i was a kid, i know she would love that..” hudson smiled softly as they laid there. “oh no, i don’t wanna bring anyone...i was just making sure it was just going to be the three of us..i didn’t know if you wanted to bring anyone else over..” this is the hard part. what if karla did want to bring someone later on? but right now they were laying together. 

Noelle sighed, “Fine come in. Do you want tea or something?” She closed the door behind him and pulled her robe around herself, “Are you okay?

“yeah i’m fine i just can’t sleep...i knew if you didn’t answer you were asleep..” 

Noelle sighed and moved his arm as a sleepy Eddie padded out of her room to check and see what was going on, “And calling… that never crossed your mind? You scared me.”

“sorry...i just..i don’t know..” he shrugged. “please??” he asked as he looked at noelle. 

Karla smiled as she felt him soothingly touching her arm. She pressed her head against his shoulder as he found something of them to watch or ignore if they wanted to talk. “I mean, I was planning to take Vanessa to the Parade and then maybe have a little something here. Would you maybe wanna join us?” She asked hopeful, but also she didn’t want him to feel like it was required, especially if he wanted to have other plans. 

hudson looked back at karla and listened to her and nodded. “yeah i would love that..i was just going to sit home anyways cause i really don’t have any plans..” he said to her. “you want me to bring anything?? and is vanessa okay to have me over??” he wanted to make sure that the little one was okay with him coming over for a holiday with her and her mom. pulling his hand up as he pulled her hair out of her face. “is anyone else coming or is it just the three of us??”

Karla missed him here, and she was glad to have him now, all wrapped up snug in his arms. She giggled a little as she scooted even closer to him. She forgot how he smelled, and being this close made her realize how nice it was. She looked over at the screen. “Something funny. Nothing we can’t talk over,” she suggested as she rested her head on his shoulder. “I wanted to ask you something, do you have thanksgiving day plans?” She asked softly. 

rubbing his hand up and down her arm slowly as he looked between her and the tv and then scrolled down to find something for them to watch and just clicked on zack and miri make a porno so they could talk with it being low. looking back at her as he let his arm rest down on the floor with the remote. “yeah go ahead...i actually don’t..i’m off from work right now till after thanksgiving then filming starts again..” pulling her closer with his one arm he looked at her. “what are your plans??”
