Tempest: That's completely understandable. Nothing wrong with wanting only those you're close to at the wedding.

Tempest: Oh, gotchu.

Anders: Not necessarily, but they just want the best for us and for it to be a family affair kind of thing?

Logan: You're all on crazy pills, mate. Marriage ruins good things. I've seen it so many times.

Logan: Because I like you both, I give that warning. live together and love each other! But instantly when you're husband and wife, it nose dives. A few of my other mates had that happened to them. Reasons I still run free~~~~~~

Logan: Tropic locations, hm. 🤔 Maldives is pretty damn nice. She'd like it there, too.

Anders: Something tells me after all we've been through together, a piece of paper isn't going to change all that much.

Anders: Besides joint tax filings.

Lach: All the more reason to elope! Find a faraway destination to marry, and avoid the hitwomen-in-law

Lach: I can recommend a few places

Anders: Yes, but we both have to COME BACK

Alisa: The eloping sounding better and better huh?

Alisa: How about just a simple one, something that you both love.

Anders: Yep. Absolutely.

Alisa: Well I hope that you get it, because it sounds really nice.

Alisa: Yup all they think about is money, they put you second and the money first when it comes to your big day.

Anders: It's VERY nice, almost too nice to be honest

Tempest: Ah, the classic clash of mothers v. the couple.

Tempest: Surely there is a way you could compromise? Small but still posh?

Tempest: That's why the industry is so booming, friend. They honestly take advantage of people in my opinion.

Tempest: Have you discussed maybe having a theme wedding? Some people have weddings themed with a shared hobby or fandom in mind.

Anders: I mean, yeah.

Anders: And my mom is great and so is Mason's but I think they just want more from this than we do.

Anders: Like we just want a celebration for all of our friends and family, not some $800,000 shindig that ends up in Bridal Magazine.

Logan: Oooooor spare yourself a lot of expenses and stress and just not do it at all? That'd be my option anyways.

Logan: Eloping would be the next best bet.

Anders: Yeah, that's not a solution, Logan.

Anders: Some of us want to actually marry someone.

Anders: Besides, you like Mason, don't be an idiot.

Angela: The wedding was ages ago, but I’ll pull some clips from the wedding DVD and put them in my Dropbox. And I’ll pull up some pictures from Flikr, too.

Angela: And yeah, I feel like if I were to get married again, there will be hella familial pressure for a big wedding.

Anders: I can’t wait

Anders: It’s not even that it has to be a BIG wedding, just something that’s your socially acceptable average wedding

“Yeah, but if I’m not also 100% in then how would that ever work? Look, I get that you’re her friend and you’ve gotta interrogate and run me down like this, but I just was’t ready to give Louisa what she wanted. I cared for her, obviously, but just not as much as she seemed to care for me,” Dominic explained after a huff. His whole relationship with Louisa had been incredibly fun, but also incredibly confusing because no matter what they did, they never seemed to be on the same page. And he knew he was hurting her, but Dom knew that lying about his feelings would hurt her even more in the long run. 

“Thanks man. I promise I’ll be on my best behaviour and only hit on one of your bridesmaids,” he joked, cracking a smile in his direction. “That’s cute though. I’m really happy for the both of you. I also hope you get strippers at your bachelor party ‘cause I’d love to hear those stories.”

“It wouldn’t, and I give you credit for recognizing that, because the longer you kept up with that relationship, the more it was going to hurt her. I still think you two were good together, but it’s not up for me to decide,” Anders replied, internally deciding to let it go for now anyway. “Just don’t expect for her to take you back if you want that in the end, even if it’s for friendship and nothing else. Lou is a lot of things if not stubborn.”

Rolling his eyes, Ders couldn’t help but laugh at the bridesmaids comment. “As long as it’s not my sister, I really don’t give a shit what or who you do at my wedding, Dom,” he replied, shaking his head. “And there won’t be any strippers, sorry. I spent enough on them back in the day, and Mase would probably punch me in the face if I did anything more than golf and have some beers during my bachelor party.”

Alisa: One of the reasons I am still single. That and can't find the right person.

Alisa: You know places tend to hike up prices when you say it's for a wedding. Something that is normally cheap just skyrockets.

Anders: Try competing for a beach-side venue on Cape Cod

Anders: You can just see the dollar signs in your wedding planners eyes

Spencer: why isn't your spouse helping as well?

Anders: She is, but that doesn't mean I don't have input as well.

Andrew: Good thing that I have never had to plan a wedding or involve in that process

Andrew: I can see how much work it takes and also how much energy as well

Anders: Never is a strong word.

Tempest: I agree. I helped plan my sister's wedding.

Tempest: Preach! Weddings aren't a billion dollar industry for nothing.

Tempest: I don't blame you.

Tempest: Because my sister's wedding, I want a simple small wedding. If I ever get married.

Anders: I think small is more of what Mason and I want.

Anders: Unfortunately, I don't think it's what my mother OR hers does.

Anders: They'd have the ceremony on the moon if they could.

Angela: I eloped with my now ex husband when I was 19. I don’t know what my parents were more disappointed about, me eloping at 19 instead of having a 3 day wedding that is traditional in my culture, or getting pregnant at 19 before getting married.

Angela: I should send you pictures and video clips from my brother’s wedding. A lot of people think it’s extra, but for my family, it’s the norm.

Anders: I get you, 100%. I know both of our parents would be mad though. Also my sister, sister in law and probably both of my brothers too, to be completely honest.

Lizzie: Yeah it honestly does

Lizzie: I helped my big bro with planning his…let’s just say I’m probably going to have a small wedding

Lizzie: I still have the portfolio from his wedding, want to borrow it?

Lizzie: hey I mean its always a good option

Anders: It’s just so much money that I feel is moderately unnecessary?

Anders: Like getting a church for the ceremony alone is 2,000 bucks for an hour and a pastor in Boston.

Anders: Let’s not even talk about how expensive an ocean-side reception venue is.

Anders: I think Mason’s had this planned out in her head since she was 6, so there’s probably not that much of a need, but thanks for the offer.

Lachlan: I'm going to join that team too, mate

Lachlan: This is supposed to be a happy occasion, why drown it in stress?

Anders: I mean, I think Mason would probably be down for whatever. Like she'd probably just be like "cool, okay" but I have a feeling our moms might kill us.

Anders: So planning a wedding sucks.

Anders: Not only is this shit exceptionally expensive, but it's an EXCEPTIONAL amount of work even to just pick out a wedding planner????

Anders: And then you need to STILL keep making decisions after you hire them.
