The ultimate apology from the ultimate sumo
This fic is a sumo K.aito AU. Itâs inspired by @heftyabyssofsweets and their artwork of sumo K.aito which was requested by anonymous.
Okay, so this is definitely the longest one Iâve written. There is going to be a fair bit of angst in the first half unfortunately but it leads to some insanely wholesome fluff later on! Enjoy! This takes place after chapter 4.
After G.ontaâs execution, things have been very difficult. K.aito and S.huichi got into a heated debate on the matter and in the end, S.huichi was right. Yet even still, K.aito was furious with him, absolutely blinded by rage. He wouldnât even let him near him when everyone found out how sick he was actually feeling. After all the chaos has died down, M.aki ended up helping K.aito back to his dorm to rest. S.huichi however still felt he needed to check on him, despite how angry he may seem.
The detective walked down the hallway and wiped away some of his tears, grieving over G.ontaâs loss. He did his best to dry them all up by the time he reached K.aitoâs door, he didnât want him to see him crying. He needed to try and smile for him, even if it only helps just a little bit. After taking in a deep breath, S.huichi rang K.aitoâs doorbell. He heard some shuffling before the door opens up, the massive man groans a bit as he peered out. âY-yeah? OhâŠâ he immediately frowned when he saw it was S.huichi. âTch! What do you want now? Havenât you made things worse enough already?â
All the words he wanted to say fled from S.huichiâs head. He forgot why he was even here. K.aitoâs words just stung too much. After a long and painful silence, K.aito was about to close the door again. S.huichi however grabbed it. He remembered the K.aito from before, the K.aito who had told him to stand up for himself. He just never imagined⊠he would have to stand up for himself against the very man who helped him. âK.aito! Wait!â
K.aito got all the more annoyed as S.huichi grabbed ahold of his door. âGrrr⊠GO AWAY! Do you really think I wanna see you after you backstabbed all of us?!â
S.huichi flinched a bit but he stood his ground. âI didnât backstab anyone! My deduction was right all along! If I didnât press G.onta then ALL of us would die! Do you really think G.onta would want that?! D-do you think K.aede would want that?!â Tears began to build up once again. He was trying to make a valid point in his argument.
K.aito twitched a bit when S.huichi said that. The truth cuts too deep and he hated it. âSH-SHUT UP! DONâT SAY SHIT LIKE THAT!â After all the shouting, K.aito coughed again, making S.huichi still worry for him despite how much he was hurting him. After the coughing had died down, he stared at S.huichi with a certain coldness in his eyes, one that stung too much. The detective looked up at him, tears falling from his eyes. Seeing those tears⊠it gave the sumo mixed feelings. These mixed feelings made him all the more frustrated. âDamn it⊠DAMN IT ALL!â K.aito angrily slammed the door shut, leaving S.huichi outside.
S.huichi sniffled a bit as he stares at his door. âK-K.aitoâŠ?â He whimpered out. With a shaking hand, he tried to ring his doorbell again, but got no answer. He did it again, then a third time before realising K.aito was just ignoring him outright. The poor detective sniffled and began to sob again, wondering how he still had more tears to shed. He rushed back into his dorm, where he cried himself to sleep.
Out of frustration, K.aito angrily began to throw things around in his room. He breathed heavily as he kept on replaying what happened. He couldnât handle all the rage and all the guilt anymore, so he went outside for the night. He needed to find a way to calm himself down. So, he went to stare up at the stars, as if they may hold some sort of answer for him. âDamn it⊠damn it⊠Iâm still so mad at him- but⊠was I too harsh on him?â He asked this question out loud as he kept staring at the sky. It was like he was waiting for some kind of sign. Suddenly, his giant belly gurgled loudly, which startled him a bit as he stares down at it. He rubbed both of his pudgy hands all over it, feeling how soft and squishy it felt. âUgh⊠I canât think straight on an empty stomachâŠâ he mumbled to himself before wondering towards the kitchen, where he proceeded to stress eat throughout all of the night. He stuffed himself more than he ever did before, his whole stomach not only sat on the table, but covered it entirely. Somehow his already massive gut grew bigger, now actually straining against his mawashi almost painfully. The giant blob could barely be contained. The guilt continued to eat away at him and in return, he eats more and more. Even still, he somehow still felt mad at S.huichi, at least he thought he was mad at him. Regardless, he felt a lot of anger and didnât know what to make of it. So he just kept eating.
The large man breaths heavily as he rubbed at his stuffed belly, which gurgled and growled loudly, clearly angry to be stuffed like this. If S.huichi was here, he would gladly help him by rubbing his massive gut. But he wasnât. K.aito frowned some more as he kept thinking more about what had happened. He still felt so mad at him butâŠ
It was all too confusing.
Eventually the ultimate sumo fell asleep, only waking up to the sound of footsteps. He opened up his eyes to see the sun had risen. His remaining friends had entered the kitchen to help themselves to some breakfast, each one looking defeated already. Everyone was there⊠aside from K.okichi and of course⊠S.huichi.
K.aito grunted a bit as he rubbed the sleep away from his eyes. He forced a big smile on his face. âMorninâ guys!â
The little mage stared at his massive belly, which now engulfed practically the entire dining table, empty noodle cups and even ice cream tubs were scattered everywhere. âNyeh⊠is it just me or is his belly⊠bigger?â
K.aito blushes a bit as he looked down at himself, realising he was in fact, bigger. Bits of food and rubbish was smeared all around him. He looked like such a slob. âLook at you⊠youâre a mess.â M.aki says as she shook her head. She approached the worldâs fattest sumo and began to pick off some of the wrappings left on him.
As usual, K.aito was in denial. âNah, Iâm not a mess. Actually, Iâm feeling much better now, guys! No need to worry about me!â
Now that there was so much less in numbers, it was easy to tell when someone was missing. âHey⊠whereâs S.huichi?â asked K.iibo.
K.aito immediately swallowed hard, his loud audible gulp did not go unnoticed by M.aki. âI will go and get him.â She says.
K.aito immediately went silent again, the other two just went to try and help themselves to some breakfast. âI hope you didnât eat everything.â H.imiko says as she poked at his belly, it jiggled all over the table, making it creak and groan from under his massive weight.
âCourse I didnât! I wouldnât do that to you guys!â K.aito cried out, feeling quite offended.
âCan you even move now?â K.iibo asked, he was actually quite curious to see how he managed to gain so much weight. Perhaps it was because as a robot, he technically couldnât gain weight himself. So he found it rather interesting to see what organic bodies were capable of.
K.aito blushes heavily as he glared at the robot. âC-course I can!â K.aito wobbled and thrashed around in the spot, his massive belly sloshing everywhere. Through all his movements, the table finally gave out from under him and collapsed, the sheer pressure finally made his mawashi snap, making his belly slosh like an ocean of fat as it smacks down onto the floor. K.aito blushes even harder as he stares down at it, amazed to see how he has somehow gotten even bigger. He felt utterly humiliated to be seen like this.
Just then, M.aki arrived with S.huichi, who looked like an absolute mess himself. He had dark circles under his eyes, which indicated that he had trouble sleeping that night. His hair was a wild mess, either he had been tossing and turning or he just simply couldnât bother to brush it. âWeâre here.â M.aki announced. âK.aito⊠what have you done to the table?â She sighed.
K.aito blushes harder and harder as he tried his best to defend himself. âI-Itâs not my fault!â He squeaked.
M.aki simply sighed before giving S.huichiâs arm a little rub. âI will go and get you some breakfast. You will just have to eat it standing up now.â
S.huichi barely looked at her, now too scared to look at anyone in the eyes. She then went into the storage room to find something for him to eat.
K.aito wouldnât look at S.huichi, not even for a second, he kept his head down as the others all stared at K.aito. They were all shocked by what has happened. After the major damage, the remains of K.aitoâs mawashi had slipped down, though K.aito was so big now, that it hardly mattered. No one was able to see what was under his belly. Regardless, the robot had worried if this may be rather⊠inappropriate. He was still technically naked. âUmm⊠should we⊠do something about his mawashi?â
H.imiko looked over and noticed two threads on either side. âNyeh⊠I could fix it with my magic⊠but I donât feel like itâŠâ
Normally K.aito would love all this extra attention, although this was not the kind of attention he craved. He felt his chubby cheeks go red hot with shame, now more than ever since S.huichi was in the room. âSh-shut up, guys! I can just⊠tie it into a knot and itâll be good as new.â
K.iibo scanned his mass up and down, somehow skeptical of that working. âI donât think it will fit over your tummy anymore.â His statement was blunt, incredibly so.
Getting more embarrassed, K.aito scoffed a bit as he looked away from everyone. âTch! Whatever⊠I can just⊠tie it so itâs under my gut. Itâs fine.â
The mage continued to stare at his belly, also skeptical of that idea as well. âYou could never reach under there⊠Nyeh⊠maybe you should get S.huichi to do it for you or something.â
K.aito flinched a bit, that small subtle movement caused his fat to ripple. His former sidekick was also shocked, finally looking at K.aito with wide eyes. âHuh?!â
Through all the commotion, M.aki had finally walked back in with a tray full of food, ready to serve to everyone else. She witnessed the serious tension between K.aito and S.huichi, her two closest friends. âWHAT?! No way! I donât need HIM! I can do it fine on my own!â K.aito shouted out as he angrily wobbled and thrashed in the spot, struggling for a while before finally getting onto his two feet. He was barely mobile.
M.aki walked towards the remaining survivors. âWhat are you carrying on about now?â M.aki asked, sighing heavily as she tried to ease her throbbing headache.
The sumo grunted a bit, trying to reach under his belly, he was not even close. âThat I am just fine on my own! I donât need S.huichiâs help! GRRR!!! I can tie this thing back on just fine without a- without a stupid sidekick!â He struggled more and more, causing his belly to wobble and slosh everywhere.
The sensitive detective just kept his head down low, he tried to hold back some tears. M.aki was quick to notice this, she sighed again as she debated on what should be done. âJust leave it. Worry about it later. Itâs not like we can see it anyway.â It was clear what she was referring to, everyone knew.
K.aito was a bit insulted hearing this, he felt his cheeks go all red once again. âH-HEY! Just- whatâs that supposed to mean?!â
Needless to say, it was a very quiet and uncomfortable breakfast. After all the commotion died down, everyone was left with thinking on what should be done. Now that the table was destroyed, everyone had to sit their bowls and cups on the floor. âNyeh⊠sitting on the floor like this isnât comfortable.â H.imiko says, she was never afraid to complain. She looked to the one who was guilty of destroying the table and got an idea. The mage scooted her way towards him and leaned back against the side of his massive belly. âThatâs better.â
K.aito glanced down at her, he was a little surprised by this. Just then, K.iibo joined in. âSo softâŠâ he says as he leans back into him.
K.aito chuckled a bit and blushes before looking towards M.aki. âM.aki Roll. Wanna lay against me?â He asked. He had hoped that maybe this could help provide some joy to his friends. His new extra weight may have put him in an embarrassing situation earlier on, but he did enjoy using this weight to provide comfort and protection for his loved ones.
However M.aki shook her head, still trying to keep her walls up. In truth, she was simply shy though. âIâm good.â
K.aito shrugged a bit before looking towards the detective, who looked at him for a moment with sad eyes. K.aito quickly looked away from him, frowning a bit as all those complex emotions came back. S.huichi then left, hurtful that he did not even get an invitation from K.aito. M.aki was able to see the clear tension between the two and she hated it. Luckily, she had an idea. They all made a plan to still find a way out of here and to try and fight back. M.aki decided to use this plan to try and trick both boys into making up. A single plan with multiple purposes.
She managed to invite them each separately to see her in her lab to talk about weapons. K.aito was still able to waddle around, just barely though. He was still a bit behind by the time S.huichi arrived. âSo⊠umm⊠which weapons do you think will be good for us?â S.huichi asked.
M.aki however raised her hand up, signalling S.huichi to wait. âHold onâŠâ
Just then, K.aito opened up the large doors, although they werenât quite large enough. He struggled to squeeze his way through. âM.aki Roll! Oof!â K.aito could feel the jaws of the doorway squeeze against the side of his massive gut.
The assassin sighed a bit but saw this as an opportunity. âS.huichi, help this idiot.â
The detective stood there with wide eyes, he was not at all expecting this. He anxiously approached K.aito, who was just as, if not more baffled to see him here. âSh-S.huichi⊠OhâŠâ
âH-heyâŠâ was all S.huichi can say as he reached towards his pudgy hand, however K.aito interrupted him before he could even touch it.
âBack off! I donât need help! I can handle this just fine on my own!â He did not mean to sound harsh, but considering their circumstances, it came off as pretty hurtful for S.huichi. He also did not mean what he said that morning as well, but the stress got a good grip of him. S.huichi did not forget that morning either and he especially did not forget last nightâs argument. He quickly pulled his hand back and looked away from K.aito, that familiar sadness came settling back in.
K.aito grunted as he kept on pushing and pushing, his entire belly jiggling and sloshing from every movement. With enough will power, he was able to pop through, but not without accidentally slamming him belly into S.huichi. The detective bounced right off of it and slammed against the wall. âSh-S.huichiâŠ!â K.aito squeaked out. M.aki gasped as she saw the detective struggle to sit up. He looked over at K.aito, eyes all tearful again. It made K.aito worry if he hurt him a fair bit, physically this time. âShit⊠you okayâŠ?â Now overwhelmed by emotions, S.huichi began to cry once again. âC-câmon⊠ya seriously canât be crying over that.â K.aito did not mean to be so blunt, but he simply panicked in the situation. He assumed he was crying because of the physical pain that would have come from crashing into the wall. He knew he was tougher than that.
âTHATâS NOT WHY IâM CRYING!â S.huichi shouted out, now enraged as well. âYou were my best friend⊠all I had left and- and now you- NOW YOU HATE ME!â
M.aki knew she had to try and intervene to make sure things donât escalate into another argument. âS.huichi⊠calm downâŠâ she says, she held out her hands as if to try and calm him down.
However the detective did not calm down, he couldnât. All the bottled emotions came flowing out at once. âI NEVER WANTED TO HURT G.ONTA! W-Why canât you see that?! Th-this is exactly why I⊠I never wanted to be a detective!â
K.aito was baffled to hear this, baffled and hurt. It only now occurred to him just how hurtful his behaviour may have been to him, even if he did feel he was in the wrong at the time. He realised he was also being hypocritical, by pushing S.huichi to be the ultimate detective only to later blame him for being right about something that seemed so wrong. As he watched him sob uncontrollably, it finally made him realise the error of his ways. âSh-S.huichi⊠I-I-âŠâ consumed by guilt and anger towards himself, K.aito angrily punched at the wall, his massive body wobbling from the impact. âUghâŠ! DAMN IT ALL!!!â
Unable to cope with it anymore, S.huichi slipped out and ran out of the room. âS.huichi, wait!â M.aki cried out.
K.aito looked out the door with wide eyes. âS.huichi?!â
Both K.aito and M.aki went to run out after him, only for the ultimate sumo to get stuck for a moment. This gave the detective a head start, able to beat even a swift runner such as M.aki. By the time she squirmed her way past K.aito and started to catch up with him, he ran into his room and slammed the door shut. K.aito did his best to get there as soon as possible, though it was hard with all this extra heavy weight on him. âSh-S.huichiâŠ!â He cried out, his fat jiggling everywhere as he ran, almost setting off an earthquake.
By the time he arrived he saw M.aki standing out his door, looking defeated. âHe wonât open up.â She says, looking down sadly.
The sumo needed a moment to catch his breath, sweat ran down all across his massive body. âHuff⊠huff⊠no⊠screw thatâŠâ he waddled his way to S.huichiâs doorbell and began to ring it nonstop, it was like an alarm going on with no stop on it. âS.HUICHI! GET OUTTA HERE RIGHT NOW!â
The assassin watched as her giant friend kept on trying, but his efforts seemed fruitless. She tried to gently place a hand on his arm after a full minute of endless ringing went by. âK.aitoâŠâ
The sumo glanced over at M.aki, he shook his head at her. âNo, Iâm not giving up.â With that, he turned his attention right back to the doorbell, he went back to ringing it without mercy.
M.aki sighed as she headed back towards her dorm, upset by all of this. K.aito however refused to surrender just yet.
The constant ringing eventually got to the already vulnerable detective. Unable to cope with the loud noises anymore, he went to the door and finally opened it up. âWhat?!â He snapped, seeming angry at first before the sorrow took over again. âWhat do you wantâŠ?â
K.aito frowned a bit as he saw him. He was an absolute mess, his beautiful eyes were red and wet from all the constant crying. It was clear that he finally reached his limit under all that pressure. âS.huichiâŠâ he started off softly before grabbing his arm and forcing him out of his door. S.huichi stumbled and flopped against K.aitoâs belly, making it wobble around him comfortably. âDamn it⊠donât ever run off like that again.â S.huichiâs breath hitched a bit as he froze up, he wasnât sure what to do in this situation. K.aito sighed a bit as he began to gently pet him on the head. Not expecting the sudden soft touch, S.huichi flinched a bit, which of course made K.aitoâs belly jostle around him. âItâs okay.â K.aito says, shockingly softly despite his fiery rage moments ago.
S.huichi began to whimper a bit, which immediately pulled at K.aitoâs heart strings hard. âI-I-Iâm sorry, K-K-K.aito⊠I-Iâm s-so sorryâŠâ
The sumo frowned some more and shook his head, he managed to wrap both large arms around the crying man, smothering him deeply into his cozy fat. âNo! Donât say that crap! Iâm sorry! Iâm the one who hurt you! Iâm the one who betrayed you!â
Overwhelmed by all those emotions, S.huichi began to sob into K.aitoâs body, causing it to jiggle around him more and more. K.aito frowned a bit more as he tried to hold back some tears of his own. âIâm sorry⊠Iâm so so sorryâŠâ K.aitoâs gentle whisper seemed so out of character for him. He squeezed S.huichi more and more, forcing him to sink in so deeply into his body that it was like he can disappear in it. Loud sobs came out all muffled as S.huichi kept his face buried deeply into K.aitoâs comforting tummy. The sumo continued to do his best to comfort his hurting friend, feeling worse and worse knowing he was the cause of those tears. âShhh⊠itâs okay⊠itâs okay, now, S.huichi⊠Iâm right here nowâŠâ
Through all the intense muffled crying, S.huichi began to hiccup a bit, which caused the tummy to wobble and slosh some more. K.aito did not mind though, he continued to hold onto his friend. âOh, S.huichiâŠâ he says with a little sigh. âIâm sorry⊠damn it⊠what the hell got into me? I just⊠I just fell for K.okichiâs trick⊠he wanted to drive us apart like this⊠no⊠thatâs no excuseâŠâ he gently stroked S.huichiâs head, feeling his silky hair as he did. âIâm so stupidâŠâ
Despite how hurt S.huichi was, he did not like the way K.aito spoke of himself. He gave his belly a little rub as he did his best to glance up at him, though all he could see were a pair of large jiggling moobs. âK.aito⊠no⊠youâre not stupidâŠâ wanting to see his sweet chubby face, S.huichi tried to stand on his tip toes, though he still couldnât quite see. The motion caused the belly to jiggle and slosh up and down, making K.aito blush furiously.
âWhatâre you doing down there?â He asked.
The detective began to blush himself, realising how silly he may have seemed. âS-sorry⊠Iâm just⊠I wanna see you⊠your face, I mean.â
The sumo chuckled softly before he tried to grab ahold of his moobs and hold them apart, in between those mountains, he finally saw S.huichiâs face, looking up at him innocently. Both men blush heavily, they both took a moment to admire all the fat. After a brief pause, K.aito finally spoke. âHey.â They both chuckle a bit, everything wobbled all over S.huichiâs slender body. âHeh, I may have gained a buncha more weight.â
The shy detective blushes and giggles some more. âY-yeahâŠâ he took a moment to clear his throat, wanting to get back to the point. âAnyway⊠I wanted to just tell you⊠youâre not stupid. You had every right to be angry.â
The sweet smile on K.aitoâs face vanished for a moment. âYeah, but not at you.â
His best friend smiles sweetly at him, he tried his best to hold back even more tears. âK.aitoâŠâ wanting to continue this embrace, S.huichi nuzzled his face back into K.aitoâs wobbly giant belly. The sensation of such a sweet little face rubbing into his massive belly had awoken something in K.aito. He couldnât help but moan slightly. S.huichi blushes furiously as he heard it, but regardless, he smiled like an absolute love struck idiot. âI forgive you.â
âMmm⊠thanks, S.huichi. Youâre literally the best sidekick anyone can ask for⊠uh⊠that is⊠assuming ya still wanna be my sidekick?â
The detective smiled more as he heard that wonderful old nickname. He gave K.aitoâs belly a big squeeze to show his appreciation. âOf course I do, K.aito. I would be more than happy to be your sidekick. Always and forever.â Now growing more and more affectionate, S.huichi continued to nuzzle his face into the giant blob he was holding onto. Every single jiggle brought him more and more comforting joy.
K.aito grinned as he couldnât help but to scoop up his tiny sidekick. He held him up in the air while laughing happily as he did his best to twirl around with him, his heavy and slow footsteps made him wobble more. S.huichi blushes as he stares down at K.aito with starstruck eyes. The giant man then brought S.huichi back in and smothered his face in between his massive moobs. âMMMMPH!!!â
The ultimate sumo squeezed and squished him affectionately, this set off fireworks in S.huichiâs brain as he can feel himself sink into K.aito like the worldâs softest mattress. âBy far the best sidekick ever! Now câmon. We better go tell M.aki roll the good news.â K.aito finally loosened up his grip, now letting S.huichi sit on top of his belly like the biggest beanbag chair. âHey, ya know⊠I could probably carry you like this.â Gaining more curiosity, K.aito held his belly up to help stabilise S.huichi. He took a few heavy steps forward, everything wobbled and sloshed underneath S.huichi. âHaha! Wow! I totally can! Guess all that stress eating wasnât so bad after all. Made me stronger than ever.â He couldnât help but purposely jiggle his belly, making S.huichi shake around as he did his best to cling onto his fat body. âPfft! Haha, sorry⊠couldnât help myself.â S.huichi blushes harder and harder, he absolutely loved how fat he is.
