“Can you do yourself and them a favour then and let me take over the watch for tonight? I know Sarenrae is all about redemption but if that’s something you’re still searching for, you won’t find it by exhausting yourself.” Most would think he’d be hypocritical to say so, but Kashaw knew better than to not take care of himself. Even if Zahra wasn’t around to remind him.

She certainly helped him get better at it, but he’d never been one for wanting to exhaust himself endlessly for anyone. So long as they were alive, that was what matter. Healing could wait until he had the spells for it unless it was dire, he always did what he knew to be right. “Maybe get something more solid than soup in before bed too, it’d do you good.”

The cleric sighed, looking over at the  male and finding herself feel exhaustion  set in after a long day of caring for her  friends. Honestly she knew Kashaw was right and it killed her to even admit  it, but she needed rest. Pike was no used to anyone if she were exhausted, and the farther their group traveled the more Vox Machina needed her expertise.

More importantly, his mind was still foggy. He could barely recall even falling in battle let alone how it happened. “I-I’m fine. I just- What happened?” That too was a disturbing thought. Had he simply caused more problems at large in battle? He couldn’t remember doing anything much in contribution to the battle.

At that thought, he shook his head and then immediately reeled from the consequences as his world spun. He had to stay on track here, he was still in the process of waking up. There was no need to dissect his actions just yet.

“You took the brunt of a hit for me.”  She speaks softly, Keeping her form  close to watch over him for a moment  longer before offering a small potion. “Drink this, it will help.”
